@@ThalesMusicCorner Great, I´ll surely will check your upcoming "Take Control" -reaction! I really appreciate your work here. But don´t also overwork yourself with all your channels, we are here whenever you choose to publish something.
Thank you. The focus will most likely shift a bit now going forward to summer. Fewer music reactions per week, and more “other stuff” where I bring you along on my non-reaction channel and such.
Yay, it’s Monday again! Another great reaction. You’ll notice that the moth with the pin they introduced in this video became part of their band logo and is featured on their albums and merch. Definitely always check out the lyrics later on when you find the time. The nine studio albums they have out so far form three trilogies, so they’re interconnected, there’s much more to them than meets the eye (or ear). 😊 If you want to break away from the official videos at times and mix with something live or acoustic in between, check out songs from their ”Live in Moscow” playlist or from the Alexander Theatre Sessions on their official page (all of those are ear candy, but make sure to include Angel and Rebirth from the Theatre sessions - you can thank me later 😜😁).
If I recall correctly, in time there was a forum of Poets of the Fall, and there many people found a lot of meaning and symbology in details of videos from the first two albums, Signs of Life(where this is from) and Carnival of Rust, don't remember any of those. But remember that almost everything that appeared had a reason, so I would say that the number that appears in the beginning might really mean something.
The metaphor in this track concerns the fact that in the musical field POTF are FREE, being self-produced. The commission that judges Marko imagine them as music producers, the butterflies with the pin closed in a case are the other artists, while the moth flying free (with the woman who offers Marko the pin to block it) represents the POTF. Notice how the moth has freedom and power (in fact at the end of the video the moth pierces the ceiling with great force), the power of their music and the freedom to express themselves as they want in their songs, without being accountable to any label or the whims of a producer. While the butterfly woman in the photo I never understood what she represented...
The board look at least as deranged as the prisoner. All kinds of possibilities. I'm enjoying you 'dive', a good way to be exposed to thing I wouldn't usually listen to.👍👍👍👍👍
Another great reaction! Thank you!!
You’re very welcome. I’m glad you enjoyed it. ❤️
Thank you again for your lovely POTF-reaction! Lovely lady, reaction - and the song/video!
Glad you enjoyed it. I had a great time checking it out. Today you'll be getting Take Control, which (to no surprise) I really liked

That's really cool. I love how they intertwine meaning in the lyrics, the video and how they perform. Amazing
