According to Dr Gundry lectins in food is a big problem but most of them can be reduced if you Cook them in a modern pressure cooker pot. But it's impossible to destroy gluten.
Really interesting. I heard Dr Cabral state that most alkaloids in potatoes are in the skin so if you peel it, you avoid 99% of their effect. Do you agree with this technique to reduce the bad effect? I'd love to eat lots of sweet potatoes but their drying quality is not great for my dry and bloated Vata
Meal prep is kinda stressful for me; understanding the six tastes and trying to include them in each meal. Any suggestions on how to navigate this simply?
I hear you. It can get a bit stressful to try to include all the six tastes. Here is how I look at it. If you eat a variety of foods, you are likely to include most tastes. Grains are predominantly sweet, some are astringent. Vegetables are mostly astringent and bitter, and many are also sweet and a few are pungent. Legumes are usually astringent, some are sweet also. Dairy is either sweet or sour if it was fermented. So if you eat a combination of foods, and use a spice mix, you are fine. It's not worth stressing about it too much. So if you make meals that include vegetables, grains and or lentils, some dairy and a spice mix, you are good to go.
