    i know you were testing crawl control/mts but i think airing down even 10 psi wouldve helped. idk if you did but the tires look like theyre at road driving inflation levels

    Yeah my 2021 4Runner is rad. Still has ATRAC, also MTS and the old version of crawl control. ATRAC works in nearly every scenario I've come across.

      yes sir! I have a 2015 Trail, ATRAC, MTS, crawl and rear locker. I mostly use ATRAC and the rear locker and when I need to, I use them at the same time, but that's rare

  • @MidnughtMerauders
    @MidnughtMerauders Год назад +7

    MTS is atrac with control of how much spinning you allow before intervention. Works exactly the same.
    Crawl control isn’t going to work when there’s no traction to get. Different tires or momentum is your huckleberry

  • @Jtwizzle
    @Jtwizzle Год назад +8

    Does it not have MTS like your tacoma? That is your Atrac. Its just customizable. CC can only do so much then you need momentum or more lift/bigger tires so you arent high centering.

    Multi terrain select is the modern version if atrac. Crawl control is a completely different tool.

    Him putting the avenged sevenfold on 😂 that was awesome. That’s why I drive a Toyota and not a ford 😂 that jeep with its solid front axle does make be jealous. I wish Toyota made that optional. It’s so much harder to put 40s on ifs

    Bro, it’s like you’re trying to hammer a nail with a turd. Crawl control is not designed for situations where you need speed like getting on top of that mid hill. It’s designed for slow rock crawling and downhill descent. I used crawl control going down the Cadillac hill at the rubicon. Made it feel very safe

      I have RCV’s up front. Yukon gears front and rear, and Revolution gear chromoly shafts in the back. I still have to be smart with the throttle, and someday will likely go one tons. I wouldn’t run a totally stock advantek 44 with 40’s, but I see it done all the time.

    Wrong tires. Oh, the Tacoma would destroy that hill. Those full size rigs are made for 3 things. 1. A farm. 2. Gravel roads. 3. A mall. 😂

  • @CanadianOffroad4x4
    @CanadianOffroad4x4 Год назад +1

    Hey maxx! Remember even in crawl control you can still apply throttle and it will slow down to whatever the speed is set too! I think it definitely just takes the right terrain, get the tundra on rocks and try again! With my tacoma, ive down a 4 low throttle up sand hill, get stuck at the top. turn crawl control on and crawl up the rest of the way. However thats our lighter tacoma not tundra! If you got MTS like our tacoma, thats what you want to play with more! The different terrains will have a variety of brake tuning. Glad you are happier with the tundra so far, i was worried about all your previous issues! Hows that power band feel on the terrain especially in 4 low?

    Try out MTS if it has it. Its just like you explained for ATRAC. It limits the slip by braking the wheel with least traction to send power to other wheel. I find that much more useful than crawl control. Essentially same system except CC does the throttle for you.
