Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel. Samuel Johnson
Thank you. Hope you make more.
Patriotism flags.. hmmmm..
How about patriotism towards our human species.. and not our nation .
International solidarity among all workers❤
One of parenti’s weaknesses. Imagine starting a movement by counter signaling patriotism lmfao
He literally gives a scathing critique of it in this video. You get a substantiated retort to the thing you're having so much trouble imaging for some reason.
@@dlf7789 Marx and Engels said to use patriotism to appeal to the working masses
@ExpiditionWild you obviously didn't even listen to what was said here. That's likely why you aren't actually engaging with the source material and just making your own gumshit strawman of what Parenti is talking about. Also real Marxists don't use appeals to authority. Marxism is built upon, not a doctrine to uphold like the Code of Hammurabi.
@@dlf7789 Marxism is named after and founded upon the teachings of an individual LMAO
@ExpiditionWild well if you had actually picked up any of his work you'd know it wasn't just one person. It was Marx and Engles AND all the other philosophers who marx read to put into a more understanding concept. Not a lot of people can read and understand Hegel, but marx was able to read him and incorporate his ideas into his work. He just simply put words to what everyone was feeling on a mass scale.
