Loved my 2009 Crf450, from moto to gncc racing. Won a state championship on that bike in the A class, then switch to ktm bc I wanted E-start. I struggled for two seasons before i started to gel with the ktm and have 4 suspension companies setting up the suspension and different linkages and one off set of triple clamps for me to find comfort in the ktm
Same frame as 09-10 but they put a different linkage on and stiffened the forks to chopper it out a bit and then everyone loved it. Crazy the factory didn't do that because you can definitely change linkage
I had a 2010 Honda won a couple local championships with it in the C and B classes when I was young, but I will say honestly that before making the switch to the 450 class exclusively (I was a bigger guy so on 250s it just wasn't fair I couldn't get a start or pull in the deep stuff) But I had a 2008 250f and bought a 2005 450 so I had both, and dude that 450 (slightly too soft for me) was actually SO good. Extremely easy to ride, so then we were like alright we're pullin the trigger, buying a 2010 450, I'm racing the Open B and the 14-29 B as well, and it was not great. I can attest to what Davi said about your hands, Arm Pump and blisters on your hands and fingers, it's a good thing the amateur races were only 5 laps at the most because that's all you could do to remain on top of that motorcycle.

@@uncleyetti9553 yes mate I believe so Some people loved it some people hated it. I think it sounds quite nice honestly other than the fact full system for it will cost you around $1000 plus US dollars.
My 2010 crf250r built motor my BPM motors with a B kit suspension from factory connection was the best bike I've ever had. Miss that bike wish I would of kept it.
I ride the 15-16 gen crf 450 and it’s one of the best bikes I’ve ever ridden and my uncle told me the day I bought it this bike will probably be one of my favorites ever
I love the ‘09 CRF450. I had earlier CRF 450s and they were horrible for me. The springs were too soft and they did not corner like a Honda. The 2009 model was fantastic in the corners and had much better suspension..
09 Hondas had ridiculous bottom end, then we pro mapped it and it became a nightmare, snort the throttle it does a cartwheel through brick wall, if a bike was considered steroids I’m pointing at the 09 cr450, also today that bike has a bent frame and destroyed ohline forks
My friend had 2009 CRF450 I still had a 2008 CRF450 at the time. I did 1 lap on the 2009 and said nope you can have this back before I die. Chassis was terrible, mapping was terrible id rather have a 1990 XR250 then a 2009 CRF Honda.
The new thing being doghshit has happened in MotoGP a bunch, as well as F1, but F1 is usually because of some regulation change so it's often hard to blame it on "the new car" as much as other sports.
Bikes I feel are just always opinionated. Like the 08s considered the best bike of all time. But ive also met ALOT of people that think its junk. All a personal thing.
It makes 0 sense why the factory teams won’t listen to their riders if the rider, who they are paying high dollar to make them look good, is struggling with bike issues! It’s just a brain dead style of doing business. You hear this more often about the factory teams than is believable, but it’s true.
Oh look, another video of Millsaps complaining about another bike now... Ironic how he was at his best on Suzuki when all people do is shit on that bike
I Legitimately have a signed poster of Davi from the 2010 Outdoor season on the wall in my shop as I watch this I'm staring at it right now lol.

Reed loved that bike. I cant speak on the 450, but i loved that generation Honda 250. Still one of my favorite bikes of all time!
I haven’t listened to the entire clip yet and I am typing while I listen, but Reed didn’t ride the 09-10 Honda. He debuted on a Honda in 2011
Yeah the stock version 250 of that generation was pretty fun I even liked the dual exhaust 250 after that.
@@yardsaledale1075 yes was same generation chassi though. And for a factory bike that’s really the only thing they can’t modify.

2012 was the same as 2009. Honda changed in 2013. 09-12 gen crf450r was my favorite. Cr22 loved his 11-12
Hmmm sometimes I just roll my eyes. A quick parts search shows that the 09,10,11 and 12 chassis is exactly the same.
Part number 50100-MEN-A50.
isnt the 2012 the same chassis as 2009 ?

I love the ‘09 CRF450. I had earlier CRF 450s and they were horrible for me. The springs were too soft and they did not corner like a Honda. The 2009 model was fantastic in the corners and had much better suspension..
It also ran through clutch plates constantly
09 Hondas had ridiculous bottom end, then we pro mapped it and it became a nightmare, snort the throttle it does a cartwheel through brick wall, if a bike was considered steroids I’m pointing at the 09 cr450, also today that bike has a bent frame and destroyed ohline forks
This makes me feel better about my 09 crf450 arm pump like crazy after a couple laps i could ride my dads 09 yz450 all day and be fine
Jase when you say townley likes the yz250f chassis you mean the 23 or 24 style because I have the 21 22 23 style bike and I love it
24
Just noticed Davi has live laugh love tattoed on his arm haha
I love those 09-12 Honda 450s and10-12/13 Honda 250s
Davi been through it all legend
My friend had 2009 CRF450 I still had a 2008 CRF450 at the time. I did 1 lap on the 2009 and said nope you can have this back before I die. Chassis was terrible, mapping was terrible id rather have a 1990 XR250 then a 2009 CRF Honda.
The new Honda sucks too though.
I got a 99 cr250 basically brand new off Craigslist(Orlando) in 2017 for $1,900. I love the bike and I smoke people on new 450s lol
He should’ve rhode the 2003 model 450 The chassis was almost as bad as 1997 cr 250 a complete basket case
Remember the Titans
Reedy said the 2011 was the best but the early years of tht gen bike were trash. Just look at the results from 09
Cant lie. Hondas feel like pillows. Very comfortable. But absolutely GUTLESS. Especially those years.
The new thing being doghshit has happened in MotoGP a bunch, as well as F1, but F1 is usually because of some regulation change so it's often hard to blame it on "the new car" as much as other sports.
Going fast helps 😅
Bikes I feel are just always opinionated. Like the 08s considered the best bike of all time. But ive also met ALOT of people that think its junk. All a personal thing.
It makes 0 sense why the factory teams won’t listen to their riders if the rider, who they are paying high dollar to make them look good, is struggling with bike issues! It’s just a brain dead style of doing business. You hear this more often about the factory teams than is believable, but it’s true.
Oh look, another video of Millsaps complaining about another bike now... Ironic how he was at his best on Suzuki when all people do is shit on that bike
The Duke!!!
Honda has always been my least favorite bike
Worst bike ever.... im with davi...
Rode it brand new.
It sucked.Twitchy. front brakes all on.

Watch those GDs bud. It’s a nasty little habit. ✌️
“God damn”???
Nah…they’re just words.
Don't tell people what words to use
@arickuppe414 you're doing the same thing, it's about respect.
Agreed like riding a kx250f
