My Polish Nana made great cabbage rolls. I have her special small soup spoon I like to use. She was just like your Mom! Had to jump on any fad diet or food that was new... and the whole house had to go through it! The worst was when healthy spaghetti came out... We got an ice storm on the 10th and our furnace was this close to freezing over with ice since the landlord hadn't replaced the gutter yet (he is elderly and was ill, they are excellent landlords) after hurricane helene. My husband is the big spoon & I'm a medium spoon. This is one of my favorite soups
Here in Michigan, temp was 5 below zero and 20 below with the wind chill! Last year my furnace broke and couldn't get parts (1997) ended up with a new one. Sat in front of electric fireplace for 2 days! I have soup every week, several times and eat it with a big spoon. Yes, I remember how this was the Diet Soup, we all ate it, HA! Hi Colleen, sorry to hear your furnace has gone on strike & hope you get it back up & running asap 🥶, burst water pipes is always a worry when your heating breaks down in the depths of winter.🫣 Home made soup is always a winner herein Scotland in winter, I make bit pots regularly, such as Scotch broth, Ham & veg with lentil, chicken veg & rice, potato & leek, minestrone, chicken noodle, various cream of’s etc but this is a new recipe for me, I’ve never made cabbage roll soup & look forward to trying it out.😋 Typically we usually have home baked crusty bread & butter or buttered rolls to accompany our soup here, very filling & natures central heating! 🥣😊 Take care, keep as warm as you can & thanks 🙏 as always for sharing. xx 💞💕🩷🏴
@davidmurphy816 Hello Davis, Thank you for sharing some of your meals, they all sound delicious. I love learning through food! Our furnace is back up and running and we are all toasty warm again. Thanks for thinking of us. Best wishes,Colleen
@ You are most welcome Colleen, so pleased to hear that your furnace is back up & running, & your normal heating has been restored.☺️ Currently here in Ayrshire right now we’re “battening doon the hatchets … there’s a hoolie blawin’ in! 🫣💦💨💨💨💨💨” We are in the grips of a red weather warning ⚠️ from Storm Éowyn & experiencing fierce gale force winds & rain, forecast to reach winds of 94+ mph by mid morning, I’ve been watching through baited breath, my poor wee garden 🪴 get blown to bits for the last couple of hours.🫣 Power outages, fallen trees & flying debris are predicted, with a risk to life across N Ireland & Cenral/SW Scotland, so with God’s grace 🙏, pray that everyone stays home where possible & stays safe. Thoughts are with emergency service workers, hospital staff & public service workers, who have to brave the elements, prayers 🙏 for their safety! Take care & thank you for taking the time to respond. xx 💞💕😊

The price of ground beef is about the same as Canada. I live in Michigan about 20 miles north of Detroit. I’m making this soup tomorrow. I love stuffed cabbage.
We got several inches of snow last night on the SC coast. It's part of the weird winter storm Enzo that has brought snow to coastal areas all through the Southeastern US. This will be our coldest night, around 19 degrees F with a wind child that will make it seem much colder. I like a soup spoon, a rounded spoon that's a bit larger than a teaspoon. It's too much work to eat soup with a tiny spoon!

Sat in front of electric fireplace for 2 days! I have soup every week, several times and eat it with a big spoon. Yes, I remember how this was the Diet Soup, we all ate it, HA! Love your channel, thanks for sharing with us! Hugs!
I'm so glad you enjoy my channel! Hugs back!
Looks Yummy!
@@gerdahalliday5113 Thank you!

@@yvonnesmith2578 I hope you really enjoy it!
Looks delishous. Wish I had it last weekend when we had minus 10 F (minus 23 C)
Looks delicious!
@@sandysimpler5147 Thank you, we sure enjoy it.
Take care, keep as warm as you can & thanks 🙏 as always for sharing. xx 💞💕🩷🏴
@davidmurphy816 Hello Davis, Thank you for sharing some of your meals, they all sound delicious. I love learning through food! Our furnace is back up and running and we are all toasty warm again. Thanks for thinking of us. Best wishes,Colleen
@ You are most welcome Colleen, so pleased to hear that your furnace is back up & running, & your normal heating has been restored.☺️
Currently here in Ayrshire right now we’re “battening doon the hatchets … there’s a hoolie blawin’ in! Take care & thank you for taking the time to respond. xx 💞💕😊
That is a LARGE, firm cabbage! I think our cabbages in USA aren’t as solid as that…..seem easier to cut. But cabbage is so good.
My husband cooks this delicious cabbage sasage soup.
Looks so good! I’m goin give it a try! Thanks
@@LuAnnNelson-gi5pm You're welcome, thanks for watching!
Hi from Utah! Can't wit to fix this soup . I will be the only one in my family to enjoy it but that's OK!!!❤
TFS, going to make this. Also, -17 celcius is not that cold, especially here in Northern Alberta. Last January we had 1 week of -55 celcius.
Thank you
@janejdough2230 You're welcome, thanks for watching.
Mmmmm!!! Can almost smell it 😊😊
@@bevpowell9039 it's a perfect mid winter dish!
Hi colleen 🙋🏻, thank you for sharing your Cabbage roll soup recipe and your soup looks delicious !! I think you need to add the Cabbage snd the Carrots to your recipe !! They were some how omitted from the recipe and i didn’t notice until i’d shared to all my family snd FB friends !! Thank you so much snd please stay warm !! ❤️🙏🙋🏻🌈🌈
Looks great Colleen. Sorry I hit the wrong button first. Butter fingers😊
@maryjepsen4057 Thank you Mary!
The price of ground beef is about the same as Canada. I live in Michigan about 20 miles north of Detroit. I’m making this soup tomorrow. I love stuffed cabbage.
We just experienced -12 degrees two nights ago that set a record in Topeka, KS.
Looks good. I don't see the carrots or cabbage listed in the recipe.
My dad used to always make peel a pound soup without meat but he always added beef stock and bouillon
You are a delight
I don't see cabbage listed on your recipe in the description
We got several inches of snow last night on the SC coast. It's part of the weird winter storm Enzo that has brought snow to coastal areas all through the Southeastern US. This will be our coldest night, around 19 degrees F with a wind child that will make it seem much colder. I like a soup spoon, a rounded spoon that's a bit larger than a teaspoon. It's too much work to eat soup with a tiny spoon!
I want to try the soup , but the cabbage was not in the ingredients was it 4 cups?
You left out the cabbage in written recipe. I believe you said 4 to 5 cups cut cabbage (about 1/2 head). I love to add cabbage to vegetable beef soup.
Really hope they fix your furnace soon.
@cindysoles9382 Thank you, they came this afternoon thankfully!
@oursilvermoments6028 oh perfect
❤
Did you forget about the cabbage in your printed recipe?
I think she said 4 to 5 cups.
@@marilynplace575it’s not in the written instructions for this video, that’s what she meant, I came here to say the same thing about the written instructions. I love this soup and I will try her recipe! All the ingredients are in my pantry or fridge! I love recipes like this! ❤
I think carrots were left out of the printed recipe as well. Looks yummy tho, with the cold weather most of us are having as well.
No furnace, oh no !!! Hope it gets fixed soon . I love cabbage roll soup.😊
I canned 7 quarts of chicken soup and 7 quarts of vegetable beef soup for this winter.
I was looking at your written recipe and there’s no cabbage or carrots in it. Did you add the theme, Italian seasoning and rosemary off camera?
Ps. Was that 5 cups of cabbage? I don’t think I see it listed in the recipe. (I apologize if I am blind to it!)
Also, I don’t think I see the carrots listed.
Hand lounge hair for 90% lean is about 529 549. That’s what we buy 85 is probably about 450 a pound.
Looks tasty but your printed recipe is missing the carrots and cabbage.
We got snow earlier in the week in central Pennsylvania right now it’s 0° out and it has been for about three days. I hate this one. I broke my femur two months ago and they put a large metal rod in it and that gets so cold so quick.
You forgot the cabbage and carrots in the written recipe.
Oh, and the carrot measurement also please?
😋💯👏🍲💐❤
To keep r cutting board from moving around but a towel under it.
I like a bigger spoon but my husband uses a smaller one.
I noted that the cabbage is not on your ingredient list...unless I missed it.
