it requires the least motors. the nxt and ev3 are functionally identical, needing only 2 motors to manipulate the cube, while the 51515 needs 3. some faster machines use 6 or 8.
I feel like the reason spike had an advantage because it had 2 flipping arms. the previous generations were doing the equivalent to solving a rubix cube with 1 hand
I did some research and I discovered that what all of u r saying is only half the story. First of all this video ruclips.net/video/-5i0iNE3lOk/видео.htmlsi=2BUd_iACZGvX439S Shows spike prime and robot inventor solving the cube. Robot inventor was 10s faster than spike note that the spike has only one arm and its mecbanism is identical to ev3 and it finished on aproxamately 1:15min while the robot inventor took aproxamately 1:05min The spike one uses three motors like ev3 and its motors are slower and this is still significantly less than the ev3 which means that the rest of the story is something related to spike/robot inventors hardware or software that gave it the advantage(I personally think it is because of the hardware of the motors) I dont see anything in spikes software that will give it an advantage in something like this
excellent, but the spike has a more optimized flip mechanism than the nxt and e3, apparently Lego finalized this, although this could be done on all 3 robots initially Thanks!
Do you mean Robot Inventor rather than SPIKE Prime? Yes it does have a faster tilt mechanism that was made possible by the four motors included in the 51515 set. The standard NXT and EV3 sets only have 3 motors. All these robots were designed so they could be built from a single set.
@@the_veemonator_alt636 Mindstorms Robot Inventor 51515 is a slightly modified SPIKE Prime. With 4 medium motors instead of 2 medium + 1 large in basic SPIKE Prime set (which can be extended with 1 more large motor in Expansion set).
With the 51515 it looks like it scans the cube’s sides first then works out how to do it then solves the Rubix cube. Also, the nxt looks like a mars rover, the EV3 looks like a ninjago set and the Robot Inventor looks like a happy birthday robot :)
@@legoxtreme the cables are fine and its nice how they arent build into the motors and sensors. And how is robot inventor more optimized, its not a video game
My friend had an NXT that's how I got into mindstorms, my dad gifted me the EV3 and it's just insane how much it can do compared to Ev3 even when both are just insane, Ev3 is NXT on steroids
I wish the EV3 had the IR sensor like the NXT had. The NXT IR sensor could both send and receive IR signals. YOU COULD CONTROL 8 POWER FUNCTIONS MOTORS WITH IT!
There is no such thing as EV2 I believe. EV3 is just the name of the set overall, not it's third iteration. The model before EV3 was called NXT and it had 2 versions.
Doesn’t have a colour sensor so can’t scan the cube. Doesn’t have ultrasonic sensor so can’t detect the cube placed down. Doesn’t have servo motor control Overall, it lacks the hardware to be able to do it
Hi, I'm also just starting out with the Lego RUclips thingy, I've subscribed to you cus I've got your video recommended and I was thinking what would you say about mine, I think u have a bit more experience than me already, thanks and cool video btw, I'd just upgrade the lighting to a softer option

It's cool how they all use roughly the same mechanism.
it requires the least motors. the nxt and ev3 are functionally identical, needing only 2 motors to manipulate the cube, while the 51515 needs 3. some faster machines use 6 or 8.
At least nxt and ev3 do
but that is not the only reason that the robot inventor is faster
I feel like the reason spike had an advantage because it had 2 flipping arms. the previous generations were doing the equivalent to solving a rubix cube with 1 hand
Yeah one hand and a box for support
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🎉😂
Is that maybe to do with the fact that the spike one comes with four motors

no the primecuber is faster than mindcub3r
and it uses on arm
Wow the third generation is super cool and fast

51515 is robot inventor, spike prime is different

wow your right
They all use the colour scanner sensor and do a colour position assessment first.
that's... how every machine does it, even non-lego machines
@@okboing I know
@@okboing oh and actually, not all do. Some don’t even have a scanner that comes out the top.
Cool designs
Cool. Now combine them togther into the ultimate mindstorm
We can see how technology has advanced over the years
no matter how slow NXT is it's still the best all around
I think the ev3 is best all around but I respect your opinion
nxt is great but I think ev3 is the best. I had ev3 and nxt and I loved nxt but ev3 was really awesome

Wow how many sets you need to build the right one?
Which algorithm do they use?

It changed after the update, its no more available

so awsome and a lot of improvements.
ev3 and nxt are cool but doomed since they are no longer in production.

Overall, it lacks the hardware to be able to do it
Does not have the proper hardware, so it is incompatible. This requires a servo motor, a color sensor and ultrasonic sensor.
not possible.
You forgot about Lego boost. In case you don't know it solves in only 30s even if it has less Lego electronics
Incredible
How do you buy it
ev3 video how to do it please
Great Work!
How about SPIKE?
Wow amazing speechless
