I need my daily Hnery's vintage fix. I love these sets that you show. We can live vicariously since you give great detail to each piece so it feels like we are also building it. thanks.
Around 7:52, the crane part uses a 2x2x9 2/3 boat mast and 12L hinge bar in blue, which are exclusive to this set. This was also among the first sets to use the propeller element in Mata red and also marked the debut of the 32x32 baseplate in tan.
I had a lot of the Lego 90s sets. Of course the ones the came with treasure like gold coins and jewels i bought just to get those. My Lego treasure hoard was huge. I miss the 90s 😢😢😢😢
Although I always preferred Castle and Space LEGO sets much more and also this set comes from period when I already lost interest in LEGO that time - it is nicely designed with lots of playability!
That set is one of my favorites as well, as it is fun playing around with the whale skeleton's mouth, trying to get the scuba divers to retreive the priceless treasure chest from the skeleton's jaws with out getting trapped. I also like how the boat design is different, being a catamaran in this set, which has an X-ray machine, tools, a shark cage and an ocean floor map on board. I also like the small submarine that comes with it, which is equipped with two cameras. There's also plenty of marine life, including a shark, sawfish and a stingray.
An interesting set. For me this era was when Lego had lost its way, although this set is better than I was expecting. Those big single-piece rocks are inexcusable, though. What were Lego thinking?!
yes, but as I say in the video. In the end you get a lot of value for your money. There is a lot to discover in the set, nice parts and you remain fascinated by the different segments. The building experience is a bit less. It is good that Lego tries something different every now and then and that should be also shown. Thank you for watching
wow, you always get good sets.I would recommend to get set 6398 central police precept HQ since you want every vintage lego police station.A lot of basic bricks in it.Also I would love to get my own divers set!
Thank you for your comment! I have already the 6398 but not complete and not with box, in the future i will make a review when I have it complete! Thank you for watching!
Thanks for another great video Henry. I am thinking about getting the Lego 6086 Black Knight Fortress set from 1992 which I will cover around the end of the year because the prices are anything from £225 to £350. All the best, Peter.
Thank you for your nice comment. The 6086 is a great set that I also want someday in my collection. The prices on auction sites are very high, especially if you want box and manual. So I try to find it on an other way but that takes time. Il keep you posted. Greetz Henry
@@henrysvintagetoys Anytime buddy. Not sure if you have seen my videos but today. I have just completed the Lego 60324 from 2022 and it is such a nice crane. I will be covering some retro sets from 1987 etc in March. As for the Black Knight Fortress. I will be tracking one down in the Summer as it is such a lovely set. Hope you can get one too buddy because you will love it I am sure. All the best, Peter.
