Last year i was in the program for a gastric sleeve surgery. I dropped out because I wasn't ready to do what I needed to do.. I started at 420lbs and I lost 98lbs but I'm stuck at 322lbs. I'm trying to get back into the program because I know I need to lose this weight or I could die. I applaud you for doing what I wasn't able to do at the time. You are my hero. Thank you Tobias!
I'm really curious; how does your digestive system work after the surgery? Ive heard people shart themselves and even some people say their farts smell nastier after. THAT terrifies me! 😨
I’m 15 yrs out from Gastric and I still Dump occasionally. It’s not pleasant. However early on I needed to bump my head to stay on track. Discipline is EVERYTHING! You look Amazing Handsome!👍🏾 I was 246 day of Sx. My lowest has been 142, but I’m now 160 and comfortable. This procedure is simply a TOOL not a cure all. GL!
3 months ago I weighed 370lbs, I had the sleeve and have never felt hungry since. I've dropped 88lbs so far and feel great. I'll be starting on my treadmill again soon.
how has been your recovery so far? I've been continuing to go to the gym until I get a surgery date. I'm nervous but I look forward to having a healthier lifestyle again
Everything that you said is SO true. I am 3 months post op vsg, down 56 pounds, 48 to go and it is without a doubt the best decision that Ive ever made for myself. Anyone that thinks that weight loss surgery is the easy way out is just IGNORANT because nothing about this is easy but it is so worth it. Congratulations on your weight loss. You look fabulous!
Wow, congratulations 🎉❤. I am heavy and looking to have VSG done. Can you update me on your journey I would really love to hear all about it. Do you have IG?
Congratulations brother. I just set my surgery date for this coming March 2024. I'm currently 6'5 and 445. Im hoping to get to 280 (My weight my senior year of high school).
@@bellaluci9844 I don't know what your diet will be like but STAY STRONG! I had my surgery yesterday (March 4th). They put me on a liquid diet Feb 26th and I was doing ok till the girlfriend made brats for dinner the 3rd and I broke. I had a small bite of a half of a brat and felt so guilty I couldn't finish.
Im getting the gastric sleeve done this year. You've been a great inspiration and thank you for being completely honest about your journey. You look amazing! 🙏💜
I just had my first appointment with the weight loss doctor today a lot of overwhelming info so I did a search for videos and came across yours . I want to thank you for this very real talk no holds barred explanation of your experience and also that you would do it again. I turn 50 soon and I don’t wanna keep physically hurting like I do for my second act if you know what I mean . Thank you for this video and being honest and real! Bless you I hope your still doing well!
I’ve been binge watching your videos since last night. I love your energy, I’m having my surgery tomorrow morning and I’m so nervous. I only had to be on liquids for two days and my greedy ass is going through it. Your videos are very helpful thank you so much and you look amazing!!!❤
Congrats on your journey you're doing amazing. I'm dealing with similar issues I have an auto immune disease my joints have been killing me so bad that some days my knees give out. I'm almost 2yrs post op and this is best thing I've ever done even with all of scary parts. Everyone's journey is definitely different and this isn't for the faint of heart you gotta put in the work. Thank you for you sharing your journey with us.
Can I just say I love you. You are the best! I can honestly tell you I am mentally ready. And the way you have bravely shared your journey is a big reason why. You took the time out of your post surgery work to create this amazing content, shared in the most authentic and comprehensive manner I have seen. And I’ve seen a lot! Thank you. God bless you. I will follow your format wherever you go.
Im getting ready for bariatric and this is exactly what i needed to hear and i will for sure come back to this video when it gets hard. I need more pep talks from this brother.
1 year since this video post and I'm just finding the video. I am so glad I found this video cause I'm going through this journey myself and you actually gave me a lot of perspective listening to your story. Thank you for being so candid about your journey and giving the real deal about it.
Love listening about your journey. I had my gastric bypass only 3 wks ago and now on the pureed stage. I'm still having some issues but it's early days and I'm working through them.

Congratulations to you TY! 💪🏾You've come a long way Baby! I am 5 years post-op from gastric sleeve. 347 lbs to 253 lbs. I'd like to drop 40 lbs more, but I feel great! Continue to do the "many" things that you do best my friend. May God continue to keep His loving arms of protection around you. 💕💕
Congrats on your weightloss and your health journey. I have my VSG scheduled 10/19/2023. Like you I have been walking and doing 30 day challenges and putting in the work before the surgery. I know it won’t be smooth sailing. I had nerve pain before and with walking it mostly stopped. I am more nervous because I have 2 torn rotator cuffs and it’s getting better but it hurts to put too much weight on my arms and upper body but I am working on it with cold laser therapy and physical therapy. Thanks for being honest.
Congrats, you have done an amazing job. I just had my surgery as of 02/14/2022. So I am looking to see progress as well, thank you for being such an encouragement, it's wonderful that people can be so real and authentic such as yourself.
I love how honest you are about everything and not just trying to glorify it like everything is so fabulous and oh I'm skinny and it's easy. I truly appreciate this, I'm supposed to be getting the sleeve surgery soon but I'm so nervous about it and don't know if I want to go forward with it or not. Your videos are very inspiring.

I should have posted before, Tobias - but I wanted to let you know that I appreciate you, your energy, your vibes, and you sharing your journey regarding the Gastric Bypass. I'm taking your tips and directly implementing them to my own journey. I'm hopefully going to be having the surgery in about 6 weeks, and I'm NERVOUS. This has been hard so far because I had some bad habits that I needed to break in order to even qualify for the surgery; like drinking and smoking. I'm continuing to learn better coping skills so that I won't turn to emotional eating, and honestly found a helper in the "Mindfulness" feature that came with my one year Premium Fitbit membership (That my insurance paid for! Shocker, there! :O ) Again - THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for putting yourself out there and discussing your journey. I've shared YOUR videos with my family and friends over any others I came across because of your awesome personality and to-the-point dialogues.
Tobias, I just wanted to say that I have watched all of your weight loss surgery journey and you have helped me out a lot. I will be having my duodenal switch surgery on 4/5/2022. I start my pre-op diet on 3/22/2022. It's a two week diet and a low carb diet. I am looking forward to this surgery and to my weight loss journey. I have been at the weight I am at for the last 27 yrs. I am ready to move forward and I just wanted to thank you for all of your advice and information to help me through this. You are always so positive and upbeat and honest and I appreciate that. I will definitely go at my pace to lose this weight. God will be with me through this whole journey, but I also like to have the support from my earthly friends and family as well. You have been an inspiration to me and you just look so good with your new body. I'm proud of you for what you have already gone through. I know you didn't do the same surgery I am going to go through, but I will be going through the other things that you had to go through, just differently because we each are all different and unique. Thank you for everything that you do. I will let you know how my surgery went. I am also doing vlog videos to help me out so that I can look back and say goodbye to this old woman and hello to my new self after my surgery is done and I lose all the weight that I need to lose in a years time. Keep up the great work. Have a great day and keep doing your videos, because I love watching what you do and your upbeat self!!!

Glad to aee you doing well. My bestfriend had gotten the procedure done she is very happy that she did and i am happy to because her heslth was declining and she didnt realize it. But she is now doing so much better and heslthier for her children
Youve been working so hard and look so healthy! Staying away from meat, dairy some heavy glutens will help with inflammation. You should be eating things like beans, nuts, quinua and lentils for protein and help inflammation. Double up on veggies for inflammation as well. Also, Chia and Flaxseed are amazing for extra protein and omega 3. Its easy to put in anything, sweet or savory.
Thank you soooo much for this video. I needed it I am a little over 2 weeks away from my surgery. I am in tears so much worry excitement anxiety ALL OF THE THINGS LOL😊
I love watching your channel, you speak very well and intelligent, you break everything down step by step, on all your videos, “congrats on your weight loss” And did I mention your voice/singing is amazing, I do miss all the cooking video, but I do understand, I’m a day one been following you since day 1, God bless your heart 🥰
I had exactly one year ago my gastric sleeve surgery and I lost over 133 pounds and I'm actually happy about it thanks for sharing your video I really enjoyed watching it
