    On August 25th 1989, a passenger plane belonging to Pakistan International Airlines departed from the Northern Town of Gilgit. Less than ten minutes later, it disappeared never to be seen again.
    No wreckage has ever been found and presumably all 54 people on board the aircraft were killed.

      Can confirm -- I too have autism and am similarly gripped by content like this.
      For a while I figured it was rather macabre to derive any amount of enjoyment from things like this; but the mechanics behind the crashes, the disappearances, and other involuntary departures from predetermined trajectories; not to mention the human factors exacerbated by them -- is just too intriguing for me to ignore.

      If an aircraft impacts fast enough in the right angle, there is not much to see in terms of wreckage. A shallow crater with very small pieces of debris is all you can find.
      If the terrain is mountainous or a forest, it can be almost impossible to spot the point of impact from the air.
      Many planes have gone missing and have never been found that way.

    I highly doubt the shootdown theory, it's too far of a distance for that plane to travel in that time and remain undetected and out of radio contact.
    However, I find the most likely theory to be that it went off course due to pilot error and crashed in an area, probably an area so unlikely that nobody thought to check there.

    I've been binging this channel for a couple of weeks, which is weird because I have anxiety when it comes to riding airplanes. But your objective, easy-to-understand explanations (even for me who doesn't know anything about planes!), the laying out of facts without too much drama, and the clear narration is almost cathartic and actually make me feel less anxious about riding planes. Maybe because I am learning about how these things work and what can go wrong with them (and how often that happens). So thank you so much for making and regularly updating this channel! I'm patiently waiting for more 'disaster averted' ones, though ^^;;

      I imagine there have been quite a few, in the days when a search simply wasn’t practical because the technology it would have needed to even think about searching just wasn’t there. After all, how many years did it take to find the Titanic? Also the expense - not every country could afford to spend millions of pounds/dollars/euros etc trying to find a plane, which in any case would no doubt be smaller than MH370. There’s also a plane that’s disappeared and nobody knows if it even crashed or not and if it did, whether it’s in the sea or on land. That’s an interesting story. I’m sorry, I should be giving links to these, but I can’t remember enough about the videos to look without spending hours.

      Mh370 was found. It was the plane at the mh17 crash site. But mh17 is the real missing plane. It sounds crazy. But I really can't explain it all here. Dig and you shall find. There's a video of the crash site uncensored and most are adult and Asian. Mh17 was half child and almost no Asians. The planes were almost identical. There's a lot more too. The lady that filmed the crash site(a researcher) said it smelled like chemicals used to keep bodies from decomposing.

    if you go on google earth and put in the co-ordinates 35° 14′ 12.87″ N, 74° 35′ 24.22″ E , you go to your left and there is something that looks like a rusty fuselage and green PIA tail plane

    Did anybody else make the connection between the flight number and the error number appearing on a computer screen when the website you’re trying to visit can’t be found ? Well known as a “404 error”, it usually means the site’s no longer at this address, mistyping the URL or not having an internet connection. Quite eerie that this was flight 404 ….

    Although a small private plane the Bass Straight disappearing from the late 1970's or early 80's is a very intriguing one.In accounts I've read, which doesn't mean they are correct,the flyer claimed a huge object had intercepted his plane somewhere between Melbourne and Tasmania.

    Pakistan Airline has massively improved safety after 2000. EMIRATES AIRLINE was established by Pakistan Airlines in late nineties and early 2000s.

    • @Cris-em9tn
      @Cris-em9tn 2 года назад +1

      You got a lot wrong. First, it was created in the 1980s. And it was actually created by the royal family of Dubai. Pakistan provided assistance and leased two airliners to them, but the family also got two 727s themselves. So it's been established and run by one of the six ruling families of UAE.
      So... it'd be like if England didn't have an airline and the Queen decided to create one with her money, and France gave them some help, and leased (for money) two of their own airliners to them. And then the Queen added two more and the airline began.

    • @Cris-em9tn
      @Cris-em9tn 2 года назад +1

      And PIA has been banned from flying to the US or Europe (or the airspace) for some time now. A quarter of all Pakistan's pilots had fake licenses - out of 860 pilots in Pakistan, 262 had fake ones. And many of the pilots (real or not) were PIA pilots.
