Myth: if you know that a meteor spawns right at 12 AM, and you can control where it lands, can you hit a golf ball over the only spot a meteor can land right before In order to see it

I think "meteors don't spawn on screen" means that when the golf ball reaches there , it will be on screen which will crash the game

Myth: a meteorite can land on another meteorite
Meteorites can’t land if there are a certain amount of meteor blocks already in the world.
yes it can
i once had 3 meteors land in the same spot, but each time was after i had removed the previous meteor
That'd be more like whether "a meteor could on the exact same place as before" instead of "landing on top of *another* one, it'd be just add more meteorites and replace other blocks nearby.
@@brbupdatingtheautopsyrepor8955 This should be easily tested by doing the last myth again but replacing the lizahrd block with a meteorite block.
If we go back to the precise meteor landing. If you make at the landing point a 1 wide hole, will the meteor create the crater at the top or at the bottom of the hole, giving you more meteorite for your bang.
Myth: You can summon a Pumpkin/Frost moon while the Old One's Army is around
I feel like this has been done before and I think that the OOA stops spawning or vice versa
The Old One's Army is considered an event in of itself, so the same rule of "only one event may be active at any given time" applies there as well. And even then, the OOA prevents all other enemy spawns from occurring during the event.
@@playertried4550 come to think of it I had the pirates spawn while I was doing ooa bit that was on console which is pre 1.4
I've actually done this testing myself before. If I can remember the results correctly, I concluded that events that occur in waves (Holiday moons and OOA) cannot coexist. Invasion events that spawn enemies near NPC towns that are not in waves but use an event progress bar (Goblin, Pirate, and Martian invasions) also cannot coexist. Time-based events (Blood Moon, Holiday moons, and Solar Eclipse) should go without saying that they cannot coexist. However, certain combinations of wave-based invasions, normal invasions, and time-based events are possible. For example, you can have a Martian Invasion during a Blood Moon, in which case Martian mobs take spawning priority over Blood Moon mobs until the invasion is fended off. It applies for any invasion mob (Goblin, Pirate, or Martians) taking priority over Blood Moon or Solar Eclipse mobs. It's also possible to have them occur during the OOA, in which case, the Blood Moon/Solar Eclipse or invasion mobs will be encountered alongside OOA mobs, since OOA mobs don't overwrite normal spawning conditions and instead spawn by their own method from the Mysterious Portals. You could fight Etherian Goblins and Terrarian Goblins at the same time. The Holiday moons are special in that they're simultaneously both a timed event and a wave-based event; due to coming in waves, they don't coexist with the OOA, but due to being time-based, they don't coexist with the Solar Eclipse or Blood Moon either. However, if you have a Goblin/Pirate/Martian Invasion at the same time as a Holiday moon, I don't remember which group of mobs takes spawning priority. In fact, there's a lot I don't remember from the tests, like I think some combinations required me to trigger them in a certain order to work, such as Martian Probes not spawning during other events, so you might have to trigger a probe first before triggering a compatible event. Or at least, I think that was the case, my memory might be fuzzy. Not to mention I didn't do any testing with the Slime Rain event, I simply didn't think to consider how it relates to other events and didn't end up testing it. Also, I did these experiments in 1.3, it might've changed since then. Overall, WoS might be able to give more concrete answers than I can.
Other wave based/percentage based events e.g. Martian madness and the seasonal moons, will override each over, I know this because I tried to summon the Pumpkin Moon when there was a frost legion already on the world, the pumpkin moon enemies didn’t spawn until I had completed the frost legion
myths: 1.) The player cannot sleep during the bloody moon.
2.) the player can pluck torches from the walls, but still sleep.
3.) The goat skull (ram) is accelerated 2 times by the hoyk.
4.) A player can crash into a hoyk without a horseshoe from a great height.
5.) The player can do any thing in his world, then turn off the game (alt + f4), only those actions that were performed a minute or more ago are saved.

myth: a falling star can fall through a hole and end up in hell

This is a *possible* answer. it may have hit the wall and fell to the bottom of the hellevator

myth: the companion cube has a stabbing animation that you can see if you have a way of increasing the brightness
It is very unlikely, and
But possible
The most I think would happen is he shoots a placeholder projectile at full speed at you, but I think it's only sound and damage
What happens if the only valid block a meteor can spawn on is a single grass block in the sky, with no other blocks surrounding it? (Maybe try testing with a line of blocks going down if it doesn't work, see if any are changed to meteorite)
The meteor will just not spawn. Meteors need a certain number of blocks present around it to actually spawn. Not sure if it's depth based or just number based.
I've been doing a skyblock with a friend and no meteor spawned until we made a dirt cube and then it immediately spawned at that exact location.
So from this I'm going to take an educated guess as to how the meteors work: Meteors upon landing using a loop to search for a viable landing spot, which is usually fine as in most worlds it's almost guaranteed there will at least be one. And that spot even if it's tiny will be found almost instantly. This loop has no break condition other than it finding a viable spot, so when it doesn't find a viable spot, the loop keeps running, not crashing the game (The game is still working perfectly fine) but hard locking it as the game is stuck on that infinite loop. Fixing that would be very easy, just add an alternative break condition for the loop (IE: An integer that counts iterations, if the loop iterates past 100 times it breaks)
But I can see why they didn't as this hard lock just won't happen to most people.
What if the lizhard brick wasn't on the landing site, but in the radius of the meteor?
Would still freeze the game, becouse it would still cover up the only remaining block space where it can land
@@karyjas1 but it's directly outside of the center point of the meteor, so wouldn't that make the difference?
@@creeperx3sssboom347 That block falls into the category of blocks that have a radius where the meteor cant fall. The only way it could fall there if the lihzhard brick was under one of the chest. Thats as close as it could get.

Myth: Sand shot with sandgun will destroy fragile objects like pots, vines and queen bee larvas, but falling sand will not.
sandgun can in fact destroy fragile objects, so does the falling sand if it lands on one of these
When it lands it creates a sand block that destroys background objects, I was wondering if actual ,,projectile'' would also interact with it, you can probably create pots in midair in TEdit and test it idk
