The e7 cast heads ported out put a smile on my face, my dad did that to his back in the day to make it look "stock" but they flowed like damn aluminum heads and even managed to get 1.6 2.02 valves into them so this is a BIG thumbs up from me!
Off of E7s ? Na bro the highest valve you can put in stock E7s is a 1.94 intake with a 1.60 exhaust . There's no more space to add a 2.02 to begin with .
Yup as stated you are way off, i had ported E7s that the largest vlvs we could get in them were 1.94 x 1.6 and they flow performed no where near aluminum heads! When i swapped them out for aluminum the difference was significant!
❤😂😢😮😅😊😊😊 I want to see that ranger in the video cause I had a ranger the 86 with dual tank and I miss it. It was a six cylinder. It ran good and until I didn’t have enough money to get a cheap part for it because I was moving from one city to another, so that’s why I had to get rid of it but I miss it, I want to see that video you do good work with your vehicles cause you’re the best with Ford mechanic
That machine is not a five star machine. Nope. It's off the chart. Car & the work & engineering is, well the total package is over the top awesome 👍😎. A five star rating would be an insult. I've seen some Stang's but this is definitely one of the leader's. It's hard to rank one when it's so awesome. 👍
That upper intake with the extra injector ports is so old school...I miss those days...my Muscle Mustang and Fast Fords and 5.0 Superfords magazine reading about modifications and ordering parts 80's and 90's best times
There's a lot of new shit that will run away from this car straight off the dealer lot, but a 35 year old classic that looks and runs like that is always neat to see and will draw a ton of attention just from the look and sound.
May I ask what electric cut out system he used? This one seems to seal completely when closed.. Other systems I've used when closed still have a tin can rattling sound accompanied with like what it sounded like an exhaust leak, but barely noticeable... This Fox Body is done perfectly 🔥🔥 there is something about slamming the gas pedal with open headers that is just amazing, I used to do that on my GT and even tho it was a full bolt-on 3V 5.0l stroked it felt like I was full sending a big block NASCAR stock car 🔥😎
Bro gotta upgrade the heads . For sure . You can have all accessories & bolt ons but without heads you're not going anywhere lol . After all the heads are the heart of the motor . The 1.94s & 1.60s surely help out some but not enough especially with that V1
I had some ported Thumper E7s on my S/C'ed 87 LSC back about 20 years ago. Really cool to hear that. And I mean, the car goes without saying - gorgeous!
@@BrotherTom I agree 💯that Todd’s car has one of the best cam chops. He did a great job refining that sound with the active exhaust! I appreciate you too my Brother! 👊🏾

Great interview man. So nice to hear people who actually have a mutual understanding of things they actually know about! Love the build and a driver who knows how to take care of his shit!
Heads are holding that engine back, need a better head. Its making more Tq than HP because the heads dont support rpm and the velocity in your port makes zero difference when you supercharge it, the smaller ports are actually holding the SC back from max efficiency. Love the color and wheels
Awesome, what cams in there? Love that old school blower sound!!! Iv got a 94 with a 347 built out of the stock block, eagle assembly with victor jr heads and intake.
Beautiful Intake, so hard to find that one in my neck of the woods and that V1 with the straight cut gears are 🔥Love the old school touches and makes perfect power IMHO. Excellent review as always BrotherTom! 👊🏼🏁

Love the car! Now, I have a 347 stroker with a V1 on it, not sure what trim it is, but whoever built it, threw an intercooler in the mix, but I can see this dude doesn't have one. I'm wondering if anyone has any info on how big a deal detonation is without an intercooler...
Not much of a problem these days. It's all in the tune. As long as you keep timing and fuel in check you won't have any issues. The newer Fuel Management Systems like Holley all have tables for adjusting fuel and timing based on air temp, engine temp etc. I know way more non intercooled cars than intercooled. My car is not intercooled and has no issues.
I got that same intake on my car along with the original A trim vortech. The A trim does fine but cant flow enough for my 306 with AFR heads on it.I am also would like to upgrade to an S trim.mine made 400ish HP and 430TQ to the rear wheels.Lucky if i get 3lbs of boost.Impeller in the A trim are almost straight and outlet is 1/2" smaller at least. cant get over the money these guys spend on these cars.Im a tech also and got done with mine years ago.Dont plan on sticking anymore into it unless i have to.I guess i have other priorities good stuff though!

My first car was a 1966 mustang it originally had a 200 my dad and I converted it all over 2-5 bolts disc and a strong 302 I had a lot of fun in that car and wonand lost a lot of street races unfortunately I had to sell in my twenties to pay bills I tried every way in the world to hold on to it anyway I'm 45 now I still regret selling
the sbf 302 ho roller 666 curse I'm calling it! 600 CFM carb 600 horsepower 6000 RPM anything more will blow it up! so if you can make 600 HP with a Edelbrock 1406 and keep ti below 6000 it shall live! don't hold me to that but it sounds like it wants to make sense! also no sticky tires and no high RPM shifting cuz then the t5 won't like it either! lol
I guess I was lucky, back in the late 90's I had a 5.0 with a stock bottom end with ported heads and intake with a carb setup and a b303 cam. With no power adders. It kept pulling until 7k so that's what I shifted at. Ran mid 11's for about 7 years and engine never failed me. The transmission on the other hand did fail and had to upgrade to a tremec tko
