Wow, finally a real mechanic fixing real sh*t!! I've been there I'm sure we'll have. To the point where you 🤔 actually start questioning "science". Good on you bro. All these utube experts never seem to have any issues, ever.
1) So was the fuel pressure falling during the "stock" pulls? nobody monitored it. 2) So you checked the new S hose and it was clear. 3) Intake manifold etc was changed. The total power gain is not indicitive of the actual Vortec gain, since there are variables. Good power👍👍👍
Bad A$$ video. Thanks for all the helpful videos for the new car enthusiasts and my self been around since the early 90s and have had 22 plus fox bodies and I'm in my 40s and still driving and building them. ROCK ON Landen keep up the good work brother
I wonder if your final number was down by a couple HP switching to the Cobra intake. I think the RPM probably makes a couple HP difference. Kind of a bummer changing horses midstream. Hard to nail down numbers when more than one variable is changed at a time. Very cool series, though. It is so awesome what is available nowadays where you can fairly easily add 100HP and keep it legal for those of us that get smog checked.
@ 18:12 it looks like you really need to replace that fan with a quality LRM replacement fan. I had to on my 91 fox. Works great. Buy good job on the install bro.
Man I wish I could find a video on instaling one on a 94 95 and specifically bending the AC line to clear the charger. I've read up on some stuff but man it just looks like it might be easy to kink that sucker..............
Great Job Landon! I was thinking the original pull was little bit low, as I was expecting somewhere between 275-285 RWHP with the mods listed. Is it possible the butt connector was holding it back a bit as well?
Thanks! The butt connector could have potentially hurt the baseline numbers as well. As you stated, other cars that I have dyno'd with similar mods have made more power. -Landan
Should have replaced the fuel filter during the install, also you mounted the MSD box upside down. So if you drive the car in the rain, the MSD box will fill with water NICE JOB. You also could have run the wiring in a way so as not to put it under the spare tire going to the T-REX pump. Next time take more time and more pride on an install.
IMPORTANT Note. I saw a factory type replacement fuel filter that the inlet and outlet were crimped down to about 5/32". Look over everything regardless of the brand names.
How much psi was the vortech putting out? My old procharger P600B would add 225 on a stock motor. Of course it would have like 18 psi, if you didn't run the air to air intercooler it would gain 3 lbs of boost. With twisted wedge heads. Holley system max II intake and blower cam it would pump out 12 psi after the intercooler.
This kit is a non-intercooler kit and it makes between 8-10 PSI, we stayed conservative with the boost number, the head unit can produce more boost we just didn't push it to its limits.
@@latemodelrestoration could you please also make it more clear in your supercharger and turbo videos that success depends greatly on choice of camshaft and that cams with large duration should be avoided lots of viewers don't comprehend this technical detail and may lead to complaints from lack luster results

I just hate to see people throw so much money at an engine that's so wonderful, and sounds so incredible under 300hp rwh, but nobody stops there,, you get to 380, then want 400, then you want more, and end up with disaster, and regret, and a broken heart, because we all love our Fox body, and SN95's. until they're just a giant paperweight.
