Awesome video and great story. I once had my starter motor go out on the way to pick up my date. I changed it on the side of the road and was only a few minutes late picking her up. This was millions of years ago, so I can't remember how I came by the new starter motor.
You will definitely have to come back in the summer and play when the long basket placements are in, the back 9 plays much different. But yes, the mosquitos will some days carry you off the course. The wood structures have water coolers in them over the summer!
The crown jewel of Lansing disc golf, for sure. Those of us familiar with the course get a good laugh out of your rollaways, very relatable, lol. Great job on the video, promoting our home course.
Have you tried any rubber discs, like the Koi from Elevation Discs? I think it would be a good one for you to try since you play so many hilly courses. Less chance of roll-away putts.
So we were just at that same course 2 weeks ago and that wooden box next to the trash is for a water cooler with a spout...there was one in there for people to use while we were there
I believe that the mosquitos are bad. My son and I played Renegades the day of the CCR Ams. They had been spraying for mosquitos for a couple weeks. We were actually told it was actually very good compared to normal. Let’s just say that the mosquitos were THICK at Renegades, and by all accounts it is the better of the two on that front. Renegades is a cool course though. Haven’t played River’s Edge though.
@@tossingplastic totally get it bro I appreciate you making this content look forward to every Tuesday and Sunday After the lions appreciative of you doing this bro!
Fairly certain those are cages for disc finding raccoons and muskrats. Should one have a bad throw, simply place a treat offering and a mini, so it can get your disc scent, in the little window and just pop the cage open when it’s ready and watch it go to work. Make sure to follow the lil critter, they are not retrievers after all. Just an FYI if you had any residual siracha or say old Louisiana Hot sauce on your fingers or mini or the treat for that matter it won’t work.
Simply addressing the thumbnail regarding ‘what would you throw?’ I know what I wouldn’t throw, a paradox, in any winds, let alone 45mph. You crazy. Teebird or similar all day in the wind for I.
Those things beside the trash can are for water coolers. The lil square hole is where the spout sticks out to fill a water bottle or whatever.
Yes, great in the summer. Several opportunities to refill your water bottles at this course.
Yup 100% agree. For those nice orange water coolers
Yep!
I LOVE THIS VIDEO! Just another crazy day disc golfing in Michigan!
I admire your confidence with that orange Hex in those leaves. It's gotta be almost invisible.

Yea that was my question haha just had a spare under the seat
@tossingplastic I probably already picked it up planning to replace it and hadn't gotten around to it yet.
Water cooler holders. Pretty common on ball golf courses. Love seeing another MI course. Keep up the good work
Ohhhhh water containers! Interesting thank you!

Carry you off the course! That's a good one haha
Looks awesome. Will have e to check it out. I've been busy building my own course.
You can see the wind like crazy!
LETS GO YOU FINALLY MADE IT MY DAWG
Only for a little but I did make it!
Love both those courses. River's Edge is TOUGH in the summer, tight lines and clouds of skeeters.
I know what you mean, that course can get brutal when the mosquitos are out in full force haha!

I'm glad I could represent it! Thank you for the kind words!

It is a fun one!
Those are to hold water coolers. 🤘
One of my favorite courses next to campus

I have never given those a try! Would be interesting to test them out!

Thank you for that information!

I wonder what about that area makes them so much worse than normal !
I just blew a coolant hose two weeks ago on the way to the course. Arrived 2 hours late in a different vehicle!
More common than I thought haha
Hope you made it over to trinity or grand woods while you where there also site courses
I did not! I wanted to save some of Lansing for next spring when I come back to michigan !

Some of the pins are in the short locations for the winter

Coolers for water
Those boxes are for water jugs!
You're right! They are for the water jugs haha!
