Let gets caught in the screen of those type of vents and it may not be up to code for use with a dryer. Just had one just like it replaced last week.

The unfortunate thing about lint is that it’ll get caught in anything. They should be cleaned once a year and I have a video in my profile on that (using a brush or blower). If you use a blower, wrap a nylon stocking at the other end so you don’t blow it all over your yard. There’s also several factors that affect the lint. This one has a hose short run of 18”. The Duyer’s blower has enough power to force it through. If you have a 20 foot run with a couple turns, that could be a different story, ya know?
