DOAX Venus Vacation has been running for almost 7 years, and Kasumi has never been featured in the over 46 livestreams, or played a major role in the main story.
@ryuujitk2nd that's because the story is about all the girls in the xtreme series. The main character in Venus Vacation isn't the girls or Misaki, it's the player. Kasumi doesn't really need to have a major role in VV since the game is not canon to the main story of DOA, but they are using the DOA brand, and Kasumi comes with that territory.
In the interviews for this new game, Yasunori Sakuda stated Misaki was added because she's the face of VV, while Honoka was chosen due to her interactions with Misaki in the story. All 6 girls were mostly decided based on their role in the VV story, in which Kasumi isn't really involved. It probably would've been better to just remove the DOAX branding, but he said they moved it to the back to highlight "Venus Vacation" being the focus.
@ryuujitk2nd didn't he say in an interview he only chose Honoka because that was the only character KT allowed him to use? Even from playing VV Honoka still had very little story relevance compared to Marie.
