Cant believe how much wear on the flywheel and pressure plate on your 98. When we did the 98 few months back it also had the same wear i wonder if the F1 cars wear more than gated because my gated 95 was not bad at all. Can you adjust the PIS on the old F355 F1 cars?
Find an industrial hydraulic repair shop and a giant o-ring will be an easy find also as weird as it may seem a CAT or heavy equipment parts house may also be a source.
I have the Parker O-Ring catalog as I’m a 35 year machine design engineer. I could have measured and cross referenced it but this is a zero pressure, static application just to seal of grease. No issues reusing the original which was in perfect condition.
@@davelelonek5598 I'm definitely getting connected with that company. I've restored a few cars in my business that were pre 1920 and everything is fabricated or find suitable replacement. I'm mainly a EFI harness builder turbo system fabricator but I ran into these cars for reasonable money having wanted a pony other than a ford in the driveway. My first supercar was with a Diablo SV building a MOTEC compatible harness with crossover to its original connectors, I honestly didn't like the SV or it could have been the owner but I was the only local with mil-spec experience that could get him to the Texas Mile with a stand alone system. I mostly make my money building harnesses for and crewing Pro Stock,Pro Mod, and a few Street Outlaw cars and while my dream is my mid engine 66 barracuda with it's carbon clad body your video was a primer into the F1 system failure points I've seen many of these cars with and so as a competent mechanic is it in my capabilities to own one that may see 10k mi a year.
I’m learning a great deal. That’s an area of the car that I’ve known very little about and haven’t found much information until now. Thank you Dave!👍

15.5K Miles’s. Yes, F1’s will always have more wear. I have an SD2 so yes, I can adjust the PIS
