2023 NHRA Pomona Jim Grossi Best Appearing 8-Second '69 Corvette Super Stock Drag Racing

There's a reason this car won Best Appearing earlier this year in Las Vegas. Here in Pomona we got a chance to get up close and see the craftsmanship as well as an opportunity to learn some of Jim Grossi's techniques for building a driver-friendly race car. The '69 Corvette changed hands a few times but I doubt any of the previous owners ever knew the full car show and drag race potential that this car had in store.

I still have my April 1983 Car Craft magazine with the "Camaro College" article on Jim's E-F/SA '67 Camaro (when we were both teenage punks) that introduced me to - and hooked me on - Stock Eliminator class. That Corvette is amazing.
