Brilliant video chaps. As someone who has had a company for 2 decades now, I can totally relate to the struggles of those early days with similar stories, such as looking in the fridge and staring at a couple of bits of semi-moldy cheese thinking that this sucks. You have definitely hit the nail on the head by simplifying things as I think it clearly shows your "Why". I found over the years that people engage with businesses in a 3 stage process; "What", as in what service or goods you offer, "How", how you offer, supply, or construct that, and then "Why". Why are you doing this, what is your motivation and can they (the consumer/client) buy in or align with that. I think the "Why" is the make-or-break bit, it's not just a USP thing, it's about the true passion that can be communicated. So you have to ask very clearly yourself the same question, "Why am I/we doing this?" and if as you quite rightly say the leading answer is money/cash, then motivation becomes lacking in tough times. The passion within the videos you are producing is clearly visible and comes across in a very natural way (no pun intended), and is certainly directly relatable to the fact that you have truly asked yourselves "why are we doing this, what is our true belief and passion". It engages that limbic gut decision part of the brain, which to me says yes this is the real deal, I can trust these guys as my bull sh*t filter is not being turned on. This a bit of a diatribe from myself, I know, but in short thanks for the videos as I really am enjoying them as consistently developing and engaging a military mindset continually helps me to develop and grow in life and business. Per ardua ad astra.
Inspirational, I have just left the military in July and so far it's been a journey, to be honest, I can relate. It's hard not to just give in and get a normal job 😆. This truly test how much you believe in what you're doing. Proud of you both for seeing it through. Unbreakable.
9:11-9:39 resonates with a chat I had with my friend last night about supporting each other's creativity - hearing this is immensely encouraging. Love these videos.
Thanks Simon it's good to see John taking a dip too. I totally agree with you there are many ways to test our mindset, through repetitively facing our fears. It helps to strengthen our resolve to be in charge of life challenges.
Great video... watching them all and it helps bring the brand to life... Watching the videos and pushing myself to do something uncomfortable... So now every day I now to 3.00min ice cold shower ( skin goes red ) then 20x20x20 press ups ,sit ups and squats. Plus I send a text to a friend to be accountable... I did start at 30's then a min seemed a long time. I find knowing I need to check in I have done this helps give me that little nudge to turn to cold and nail the three mins
Can relate to this. I'll always remember bayonet training at Catterick in December, being crawled through an icy river and snow 😂 but these days, in my thirties it feels much harder just having a dip in the loch during summer
Love this episode. I would be the crazy person who would actually enjoy getting in the cold water at 6:30am! 🙈😂 well done on the videos, look forward to the next one 👍🏼
Thanks Michelle, glad you’re enjoying them. It’s a skill and the more you practice it, the better you get at enduring that discomfort of the cold. The feedback really is appreciated 💪😎
I'm really getting into your videos, I'm glad I subscribed. I'm getting a lot out of your way of living and your outlook on life. Thanks for everything that you express it means so much as a man who is struggling in life and to make his way in the world. It's well appreciated 👍
Thanks for sharing. Passing on your experience and attitudes towards mindset, is providing your followers with a natural edge, in navigating lifes challenges.
I've watched a few of them now. Will watch them all eventually. Here's wishing you guys all the best for the New Year. Thank you for posting on here and also the facebook page.
