What I love about Ali is he's so respectful towards the people he interacts with whatever their walks of life or social status are. I commend u for that!
I definitely agree which is why his videos are so pleasant and refreshing to watch. I also follow his friend Harry's vlogs but he's quite the sarcastic with a strong personality type of person. Not that there's something wrong with that but Ali will definitely be more relatable to Filipinos based on how he interacts with people.
I used to work as a language specialist and corporate trainer in Makati before. Used to walk and jog around Salcedo Village after work. Not much have changed, but the greenery. The parks and the landscaping are tremendous. Thanks for touring me around. I live in Bahrain 🇧🇭 now (21 years). Always stay healthy and safe, Ali. 💪🏻❤️
You're the first expat vblogger that feature Makati in almost 30 minute video. Manila is underrated as it is not usually featured on vblogs, that's why many foreign visitors go straight away to the Islands lol. But glad that you give justice to Manila and please feature more especially the business districts. We wanted more expats who visited the country the Philippines is not only more on tourist and natural attractions, we have also good business districts with greens, trees, parks in the middle of the city, a lot of good restaurants and malls, they just needed to be featured. Visit Eastwood City, Newport City, Ayala Alabang, etc.
In addition to architecture and world-standard urban planning, perhaps one of the reasons why a number of tourists associate Greater Manila's major urban enclaves, like Makati and BGC, with other world cities like New York is the English signage. In fact, just about everything is written in English. Something greatly overlooked. This makes navigating around the country so much easier and familiar particularly if you consider the notion that almost everyone speaks, or at least understands, English. Interestingly, notice how you immediately felt disconnected and "lost" when you entered the Korean store where almost everything was labeled in Korean, Chinese or Japanese characters. A natural response, of course. But I believe the one thing that makes these Philippine cities stand out from their international counterparts is just how ingeniously Filipinos incorporate greenery and vegetation in their design, whether corporate or urban. As such, you hardly notice them but nonetheless, feel their effects in the way you perceive and respond to the world. Is it any wonder why Filipinos are some of the happiest and friendliest people on the planet. As always, great video! New sub here.
Philippines is so unique in asia.the blend of american European countries and Asian countries cultures in one plus English speaking country where you speak your own tongue and Filipino understand it.
in 24:11 you passed by Makati Avenue and Ayala Avenue, an interesting fact is that the area used to be an airport, so if you check the area at the corner of Ayala Triangle Gardens, there is an air traffic control tower, and it also explains why the two roads are straight for a few kilometers. It was then known as the Nielson Field Airport, which served as a runway for the Far East Air Force that was the base of both the United States Air Force and the Philippine Air Force in the 1940s, it was also the country's first commercial airport. What occupies the control tower now is a restaurant called Blackbird by the Nielson Tower, which serves gourmet food.
