      There is a case for the death penalty - when there is 100% confirmation that someone has committed a murder, on purpose, not eyewitness testimony. And child abuse

    I've been locked up twice for things I didn't do. They basically kidnap you and one day let you out. Unfortunately you lose your job, home, car and relationships. There is nothing ok about taking ppl civil and constitutional freedoms

    I'm very against the death penalty entirely, because there are so many innocent people that get railroaded like this. As a country we can't be trusted to fairly execute anyone, so that option needs to be taken out of our hands.
    The Choctaw Three were charged with killing a baby that never even existed, and 2 of them pled guilty to avoid the death penalty. I can't imagine how helpless I'd feel if the system were trying to kill me even tho I was innocent. Can't imagine.

    This angers me soo much, the way black men in particular have been treated in the US.
    I asked God why this happens and He reminded me of the story of Joseph.
    I hope he gets continual support to help him with his mental health.

    Infuriating, heartbreaking, scary… stole his youth. Imagine he went to jail and got in trouble trying to prove and protect himself in there. Bless that man’s spirit to stay true to his character for 19 years. Thank god he’s free

    I know how you feel I have a brother in prison with a life sentence for rape. Falsely accused he been in now for 35 years. This let me know even the more God is able to do all things. He will be free.

    There is a lot more wrongful convictions and charges then this in the state of Minnesota I promise you. And a lot of looking into a lot of cases. It's a very foul play especially in hennipen county.

    This is extremely sad!! Them former prosecutor, detectives, cops and Jurors can all go and rot in hell slowly!! Thanks to all the innocent project pple who worked hard for Marvin’s release and tell his story. Glad you are home where you should have been 20yrs ago.

    Its krazy because when the investigators start saying they have physical evidence, it really make you start thinking about your options even if you’re innocent because once they got you, they got you. You see the tactics they use, and being young and poor don’t help because you don’t have anybody actually fighting for you if you can’t afford proper counsel

    That's so foul. I don't blame the witness because she was terrified after what just happened. She could have said that she couldn't identify the suspect. At least not at the moment. Now, as for law enforcement and the DA , they should have to do day for day all of the time that child lost. No prom, no girlfriend, no nothing!

    The most maddening part of this story is that Amy Klobuchar (the prosecutor), has gone on to serve 4 terms as a Democratic Senator in Minnesota. Not her only wrongful conviction of Black children. Minnesotans should be ashamed of themselves for voting for this monster!!!!! 😡

    I’m so disgusted! DISGUSTED at our Judicial System!!! My heart breaks for Marvin & his family. Another innocent Black man who loses their life at the hands of a crappy system!! SMH!! Shame on those police & police department who violated policy. I’m sick!! Marvin has lost soooo much. His family has lost so much. Although he can never get this time back, I’m so happy he finally got out. I pray he can move forward with his life. Now, what repercussions will there be for those who had a hand in Marvin losing his freedom??? What award will Marvin receive???

    Vwry possibly a Insurance Company Scam by the family and they happy the case ain't gonna be reopen so the have the guy in the scrap book ,green hoody and green & whte cap appearing like he's bitter ,the 16 year old child didn't do it and the case was manufactured, his uncle was possibly a insurance policy murdered by his family. Sadly !!

    You got wonder if it wasn't a inside job for insurance money if they never captured the actual guy especially with the sister saying a whole different person was the one and we know it was a black person and he was out of town at the time and the cops knew that or he would have been on trail for his life ,so the 16 year old became the next best fall guy. ⌚
