I was on birth control for 6 months because of Accutane (it’s a gov. Requirement), and I immediately stopped the moment I could. My dermatologist told me I needed to stay on it or else my acne would come back. I told her I would take my chances, and she told me birth control also helps prevent ovarian cancer. I said, “I am not at risk for that and it does not run in my family, so I will be stopping it immediately.” She was NOT happy 🙃 My acne never came back and I have never felt better in my body, praise God.

After my 3rd child, I went back on birth control. I kept getting these abscesses on my face. Very painful. Saw the doctor and got prescribed some topical stuff. They kept happening though. I went to the ER one night because I had an abscess on my eyebrow, above my eye, causing my eye to swell shut, and having severe pain and a headache. I asked the ER doctor why I kept getting the abscesses? He told me it was hormonal and that I would have these abscesses the rest of my life. When I got home I remembered the word “hormonal” and thought of my birth control. I stopped using the birth control, and my husband agreed to use condoms. I haven’t had abscesses since!
I remember, when I got engaged I started birth control since we wanted to wait at least a year before trying for kids. The first pill I tried made me an emotional mess! I had a full blown meltdown over getting the wrong paint finish for our new house. Not the wrong colors. Eggshell finish instead of matte. And I was full on, ugly crying, spiralling down the "I'm a failure" rabbit hole. I've long thought surrogacy was worse than prostitution in many ways. With prostitution, a woman's body is rented for a few hours. With surrogacy, a woman's body is rented for at least 9 months, longer than that when you take into consideration things like the woman possibly miscarrying, aftercare if she needs a c-section, all the appointments leading to her actually becoming pregnant. With surrogacy there's usually at least one child exploited in addition to a woman (again, possibly more if you take into consideration all the embryos created that aren't implanted, additional embryos sometimes implanted to create twins, etc). And both are a way for rich people to exploit poor and desperate women.
Surrogacy is means to bypass God's will: if you are not meant to have children and you really want to raise a child, there are so many who need homes already.
The scary part is that this is just one case that was caught. It torments me to think of how many more babies and children are going through this or will go through this without anyone finding out. It’s so scary and sad that these poor babies are given over in the name of “inclusivity”.

The first time I went to a gynecologist because of intese pain and excessive bleeding on my periods, he told me that he couldnt do much because I "wasnt active sexually" he literally did the air quotes and perscribed me birthcontrol pills. Try changing to cotton pads or a cup. They put chemicals in pads and tampons to make you bleed more. Same with toilet paper to make you feel like you need to pee more. Once I switched (and cut back all sugar), periods are absolutely no deal whatsoever. I imagine this was how it was supposed to be all along.

I was on the pill from age 19-24. I got off and had kids and when I went back on I felt absolutely nuts. Like it messed with my body and mind. I got off right away and will never go back.
Something that I notice, is that it is easier to give women birth control and say that women are more empowered to have sex and be on birth control then to encourage abstinence. I am 30, I literally just got off birth control and left my abusive relationship. I am now struggling to have a normal cycle. It breaks my heart that the conversation is men condemning women for having sex but then having sex with them and wanting women to be on birth control to be sexually liberated but then condemning them for it.

I was put on birth control at 14 years old because I had a few pimples on my face. Now that I look back on it, my skin looked great. I was on birth control through all of high school (my skin was pretty clear while on it) but after I educated myself and went off of it for good I struggled with the worst cystic acne throughout all my college years. They said that yes, you may have endometriosis. We can’t go in and see because you are too young, but here’s birth control just in case. That’s the only option to control it anyway. I was on the BC pill in my early twenties while I was finishing my degree. After getting off of it, my cycle didn’t start again for 4 years! My OB-GYN insisted it has nothing to do with the pill. Since that time, I have heard of this happening to multiple other women.

At one point I tried going on it when I was young and had a horrible reaction to it. I'm now 28 and after the debilitating pain and numbness my husband helped me fight for healing. I found a doctor willing to open me up come to find that my endometriosis had completely engulphed my uterus, overies, and most of my surounding organs. It had cut off my on ureter which was sending me into kidney failure. I was months to days from death. Don't let them give you a Band-Aid, don't drink the Kool-Aid, GET REAL HELP.

I was a Christian girl, almost 17 and planning to wait. But the doctor put me on birth control for cramps. I feel like this made it easier to give in to temptation because it took away the most obvious deterrent--the desire not to get pregnant. Before the pill, I had resisted temptation. But there were other consequences I didn't realize at that age, including creating a deep bond with a man who hadn't married me and although he had promised to and begged me to run off and get married the weekend before, broke up with me shortly afterward. Also an unplanned pregnancy discovered after the breakup, the stress of which caused a miscarriage. Turns out the pill doesn’t always work after all (especially in combination with antibiotics), so there was a false sense of security. There is a good reason God tells us not to. He's not just trying to prevent us from having fun. I devalued myself because of all of this and married the next guy who came around even though he wasn't up to my previous standards. Of course the main deterrent should have been pleasing God and He has graciously redeemed my life, but it has not been without consequences. Over 45 years later though, I am still married to the same man and we were in church with our daughter and grandchildren today celebrating Easter. Discuss ALL of this with your daughter and be sure she is very well educated on human sexuality. My parents never talked about it with me other than my dad saying it was forbidden and he'd disown me and the child if I got pregnant before marriage. I was very naive. Advise your daughter not to put herself in situations where temptation could get the best of her. But, above all, tell her that if something happens and she does fail, not to resort to an abortion! Tell her that it won't be without consequences, but you and God will forgive her and the child will be a blessing regardless. I know somebody who did that to avoid the shame with her Christian parents and peers. It has been absolutely devastating for her! God has forgiven her, but I don't know if she will ever forgive herself. The longing for that child will never leave her this side of Heaven.

After my 3rd child, I went back on birth control. I kept getting these abscesses on my face. Very painful. Saw the doctor and got prescribed some topical stuff. They kept happening though. I went to the ER one night because I had an abscess on my eyebrow, above my eye, causing my eye to swell shut, and having severe pain and a headache. I asked the ER doctor why I kept getting the abscesses? He told me it was hormonal and that I would have these abscesses the rest of my life. When I got home I remembered the word “hormonal” and thought of my birth control. I stopped using the birth control, and my husband agreed to use condoms. I haven’t had abscesses since!
I remember, when I got engaged I started birth control since we wanted to wait at least a year before trying for kids. The first pill I tried made me an emotional mess! I had a full blown meltdown over getting the wrong paint finish for our new house. Not the wrong colors. Eggshell finish instead of matte. And I was full on, ugly crying, spiralling down the "I'm a failure" rabbit hole. My husband (then fiance) was deeply relieved that I realized what was causing it during that breakdown and I literally said through my tears "I think I need to try a different birth control"
I did move to a different pill and seemed to be fine. Now, after 2 kids, we've decided it's not worth me going back onto hormonal birth control. Not with all the information that's coming into the mainstream about how harmful its side effects can be! We are blessed to be in a position to provide for our children, including me staying home with them, and plan to have at least one more.
This is so disgusting and depraved. Im looking at my 5 wk old miracle baby boy and i feel sick to my stomach. I cant help but cry. Thank God this baby was saved in time before this perv got ahold of him but he cant be the only one.. sick sick sick. My heart breaks for all of the precious innocent babies and children..

Allie, thanks for the In N Out mention. We just went on a field trip to our local one. First off, it’s sparkling clean, like super super clean and organized. I noticed that their employees have been there for years, which lets me know they’re paid and treated well enough to stay loyal to the company. The food is FRESH! They have no freezers on site, just refrigerators. They told us they get their produce delivered every two days and the meat came straight from a local ranch in our area.

I've long thought surrogacy was worse than prostitution in many ways. With prostitution, a woman's body is rented for a few hours. With surrogacy, a woman's body is rented for at least 9 months, longer than that when you take into consideration things like the woman possibly miscarrying, aftercare if she needs a c-section, all the appointments leading to her actually becoming pregnant. With surrogacy there's usually at least one child exploited in addition to a woman (again, possibly more if you take into consideration all the embryos created that aren't implanted, additional embryos sometimes implanted to create twins, etc). And both are a way for rich people to exploit poor and desperate women.
Surrogacy is means to bypass God's will: if you are not meant to have children and you really want to raise a child, there are so many who need homes already.
The scary part is that this is just one case that was caught. It torments me to think of how many more babies and children are going through this or will go through this without anyone finding out. It’s so scary and sad that these poor babies are given over in the name of “inclusivity”.
This is the kind of thing that keeps me up praying all night. God help the poor babies we can’t help❤

Office last week, I took a picture- the poster has all these forms of birth control listed, including “fertility awareness”. Comparison of pills shows 91% effective and fertility awareness at 88% effective. Just thought this fits here… because a 3% increase in effectiveness from fertility awareness to the pill certainly does not justify the hellacious side effects I personally experienced with the pill- blood pressure increased to the point I was hospitalized and almost died in my 20s… now in my 30s at my Obgyn for “unexplained infertility”.
No misinformation here… again, posted at my doctor’s office. Would post a picture if I could.

Also had skyrocketing blood pressure from the pill, and I know for a fact that it was never reported as a side effect. I have to wonder how accurate the statistics on the pamphlet insert are, just considering how the blood pressure issue was handled in my own case.
I bought the book the fertility awareness method and learned all about it, and it is all I have EVER used, and we’ve never had an “accident” pregnancy! Almost a decade.
I too had stroke-level blood pressure at age 16. My doctor put me on the pill for bad cramps. After 2 months I started having blood vessels burst on their own with no injury. The doctor wouldn't 3ven let me get out of bed to go to the bathroom. About 10 years later, another doctor put me back on the pill saying the newer ones were not as strong and wouldn't do that. My blood pressure skyrocketed again. I used the diaphragm for birth control my entire fertile life with no accidents. I did have fertility issues due to endometriosis and had multiple miscarriages. But, thank God I had one child successfully.
Me right here! I went to the GYNO for extreme pain during ovulation. Without any kind of exam or questioning, while i was NOT having sex and never had, she put me on birth control. It. Was. Aweful. After i told her i didnt want to stay on it, after a host of issues and side effects, she refused to treat me any more. Sighting that i was unreasonable and unwilling to take medical advice.

My husband and I have endured 9 years of infertility and one failed adoption and are now foster parents. We went to a fertility doctor once and I couldn’t justify selection of embryos and I remember telling my husband on the way home that I could never participate in ivf. Even during our adoption process it felt wrong for our family and I never felt great about all of the “expenses” paid out to birth moms and the agencies. Now on the other side I’m glad God had other plans ❤️

I used to have horrible cramps. Back then it was said that salt was the issue...never once, never, was my sugar consumption mentioned!! SUGAR...get off the sugar!! That would have made everything with my cycle better!! Yes, you definitely have to find a functional doctor to get to the root cause, definitely! But getting off sugar is a perfect place to start! What you eat/drink determines a lot!
Yes, I have PCOS and going off sugar and doing intermittent fasting changed my life. Barely any acne, more regular periods, and I just got pregnant after years of infertility. No doc was willing to tell me this-I had to find answers elsewhere

The first time I went to a gynecologist because of intese pain and excessive bleeding on my periods, he told me that he couldnt do much because I "wasnt active sexually" he literally did the air quotes and perscribed me birthcontrol pills. I told him i didnt need the pill and haven't needed it since I was and still am a virgin, but he just laughed and said "Well theres not much I can do. So, take the birth control and once you stop being a "virgin" come back." I felt so horrible that day that I told the receptionist lady that the hospital should really consider getting a new gynecologist.
Try changing to cotton pads or a cup. They put chemicals in pads and tampons to make you bleed more. Same with toilet paper to make you feel like you need to pee more. Once I switched (and cut back all sugar), periods are absolutely no deal whatsoever. I imagine this was how it was supposed to be all along.

Imagine what that child will think when he grows up and learns about what would have happened to him. Pray for his victims that did not escape. So vile and gross. When I was younger and on birth control, I did gain weight. When I got off the birth control, I lost the weight. I also had anxiety when I was on it. Same thing that happened to me when I was on depression medication. I will never be on either of those ever again. I was on the pill from age 19-24. I got off and had kids and when I went back on I felt absolutely nuts. Like it messed with my body and mind. I got off right away and will never go back.

Something that I notice, is that it is easier to give women birth control and say that women are more empowered to have sex and be on birth control then to encourage abstinence. I am 30, I literally just got off birth control and left my abusive relationship. I am now struggling to have a normal cycle. It breaks my heart that the conversation is men condemning women for having sex but then having sex with them and wanting women to be on birth control to be sexually liberated but then condemning them for it.

I was put on birth control at 14 years old because I had a few pimples on my face. Now that I look back on it, my skin looked great. I was on birth control through all of high school (my skin was pretty clear while on it) but after I educated myself and went off of it for good I struggled with the worst cystic acne throughout all my college years. My skin was so inflamed and it would bleed. NOTHING topical helped and I was diagnosed with hormonal imbalances (estrogen dominance)and leaky gut syndrome. Now I’m 21 with a lot of acne scars and I can never have my old skin back. I wish I knew back then how birth control would affect my hormones

I had beautiful skin and no depression going into birth control, I absolutely lost my mind on birth control, and now I have disgusting skin riddled with hormonal acne that holds me back in every way in life. I was on hormonal birth control for a year after getting married. It was the first and only time in my life that I had debilitating cramps while on the sugar pill week. It also took a full year after getting off them to get pregnant.

I was on the BC pill in my early twenties while I was finishing my degree. After getting off of it, my cycle didn’t start again for 4 years! My OB-GYN insisted it has nothing to do with the pill. Since that time, I have heard of this happening to multiple other women.
Let this be a lesson to all women even so much as CONSIDERING being a surrogate! You are NOT doing something “wonderful/beautiful”!

I was incredibly sick for 15+ years and the doctors I went to for help kept trying to mask my symptoms with birth control. At one point I tried going on it when I was young and had a horrible reaction to it.
I'm now 28 and after the debilitating pain and numbness my husband helped me fight for healing. I found a doctor willing to open me up come to find that my endometriosis had completely engulphed my uterus, overies, and most of my surounding organs. It had cut off my on ureter which was sending me into kidney failure.
I was months to days from death.
Don't let them give you a Band-Aid, don't drink the Kool-Aid, GET REAL HELP.

That's how they are prescribing bc, they dont like hearing no for an answer with it. Everytime I've said no to it i get a laundry lists of why I should consider it. Never taken it never will. Best friend got a tumor on her thyroid before age 20 from it and her doc confirmed it was from the bc. Other friends gained weight, had hair changes, mood changes, my iud friend died from lung blood clots (though we don't know why exactly but I wonder; she had the iud in her arm put in months before her death), other friend had 2 separate iud try to embed into her uterus. No thank you

I was that 16 year old Christian who had a Christian boyfriend, we successfully waited until marriage:) people do wait. I’m happy for your daughter and glad she isn’t on birth control. Her body her decision.
I was a Christian girl, almost 17 and planning to wait. But the doctor put me on birth control for cramps. I feel like this made it easier to give in to temptation because it took away the most obvious deterrent--the desire not to get pregnant. Before the pill, I had resisted temptation. But there were other consequences I didn't realize at that age, including creating a deep bond with a man who hadn't married me and although he had promised to and begged me to run off and get married the weekend before, broke up with me shortly afterward. Also an unplanned pregnancy discovered after the breakup, the stress of which caused a miscarriage. Turns out the pill doesn’t always work after all (especially in combination with antibiotics), so there was a false sense of security. There is a good reason God tells us not to. He's not just trying to prevent us from having fun. I devalued myself because of all of this and married the next guy who came around even though he wasn't up to my previous standards. Of course the main deterrent should have been pleasing God and He has graciously redeemed my life, but it has not been without consequences. Over 45 years later though, I am still married to the same man and we were in church with our daughter and grandchildren today celebrating Easter. Discuss ALL of this with your daughter and be sure she is very well educated on human sexuality. My parents never talked about it with me other than my dad saying it was forbidden and he'd disown me and the child if I got pregnant before marriage. I was very naive. Advise your daughter not to put herself in situations where temptation could get the best of her. But, above all, tell her that if something happens and she does fail, not to resort to an abortion! Tell her that it won't be without consequences, but you and God will forgive her and the child will be a blessing regardless. I know somebody who did that to avoid the shame with her Christian parents and peers. It has been absolutely devastating for her! God has forgiven her, but I don't know if she will ever forgive herself. The longing for that child will never leave her this side of Heaven.

Well, not the Catholic Church 😂. My grandfather was beaten by nuns as a child in his Catholic school. The Catholic Church was not his friend. As soon as he turned 18 he left the Catholic Church. He ended up going to my grandmother's church. Thank God he stood up to his family and did not allow my mother to be raised in such a Church.

I’ve heard many doctors talk about the pill on social media. One declared it does not cause an abortion to an already fertilized egg. I used the Mayo Clinic info to inform her of the facts. She responded to other posts but left mine. Rude.
