That move, Jin's hand stroking the grass... "this is my land, these are my family, I will fight til the last drop of blood to protect all of this!". Best intro ever in a videogame.

I just love how he touches the grass everytime.
The pure love for his home.
He speaks to his horse sometimes.
Like "i can't do this without you". All these little details make the game feeling so alive and breathing

I did..From start to finish this scene was truly a masterpiece. It really established how brutal the Mongols were and how skilled Jin was. Best opening ever

Who was the creative director on this game? Whoever it is, they knocked the ball so far out of the park that it reached the moon. I mean god damn. This shit is on another level.
That's a good example of setting a standard. Witcher 3 + expansions did it amazingly as well, and 5 years later I am so happy that this came out. I pray they will eventually release it for pc as well, but if not I can still play it on my brother's PS4.

One of the rarest moments in my 20 years of games experience that gave me actual goosebumps . Undoubtedly this game belongs to the panteon of PlayStation game . That was Japanese AC would look like if Ubisoft wasn't a garbage milking dry franchise company , a samurai who becomes an assassin , throwing away his honor to save his people and fight the enemy , just a heart breaking plot and even more ending , never a choice has been harder at the end .

There's such a difference between the opening charge into battle on horseback with the other Samurai vs how this moment feels. You really feel the weight of responsibility on Jin's shoulders the moment that title drops

The fact that the intro doesn't hit until an hour into the game just makes it hit that much harder.
This moment is one of my highlights of quarantined life. The moment i was playing it, windows open and a gust of wind hit me after watching a dramatic prologue, i knew Jin Sakai purpose and the game definetely left a great initial impression. i am loving every bit of it.
A truly memorable intro i'll remember forever in such a crazy year.
Beautiful Graphics, Epic Soundtrack and Awesome Story. This game is definitely a reason to buy a Playstation.
This opening title and Doom 2016 opening title are by far my favourite :)

This is the only intro in videogames that almost made me cry, the music, the horse, Jin touching the grass, the birds, the environment, everything in this intro is perfect
I was already i to this game during the opening prologue, taking time to understand the combat, movements etc.
But when the music started building, ending in this gorgeous climax with the title appearing, I legit had tears in my eyes.
Just the best introduction to any game I’ve played.
That opening gave me a real chill.
Cant wait to enjoy this on PC. May 16 baby

Honestly, I really feel like the whole intro (Battle Sequence/ Escape - Rescue from Yuna) was a little limited and weak.... But after the playing the whole game through and rewatching this.... God.... This opening sequence just..... Just breaks me so hard each time...
Imagine this from Jin's perspective.... "You're in my land - you've killed my people - made a mockery of the things we honor and love - turned those that we love against one another - and you think you've killed me?? - I will do whatever it takes till my last breath... Even if it engulfs me in darkness and turns even myself against myself, TO SAVE THIS LAND - I am THE DARKNESS and STORM that drowns those who dare to desecrate this land... I AM THE GHOST OF TSUSHIMA"... Its just beautiful and bittersweet...
Definately the game of this generation... What a beautiful and wonderful way to end the PS4 - no "Last of WOHMAN's Rights" controversy or shitty contriveness... Just a beautiful story and game about true sacrifice and revenge..... And the shadow that you must shroud yourself in to save the things you love.

I had the biggest smile on my face during this intro, took me back to playing shadow of the colossus on ps2 at 8 years old and being mindblown at the graphics.

I am so glad I waited for years for this to finally come to PC. I did not spoil the game for myself at all in that time because everyone told me it was that special type of game, and all I can say is that it really is. This scene had me like, “My $60 was well spent, This already earned the title of masterpiece”. Spent the last 2 days only playing this game and I don't regret a single hour.
The best opening of a game ever.
I was playing with my son watching me; he wanted to watch the beginning of the game with me; he watched this intro while I watched him more - he physically started when the title came up.
Experiencing this scene for the first time was truly something else. This game is really amazing like i'm not exaggerating i think it’s the best intro to any game i've played.

This movies a playable samurai movie the music swelling and revealing the title card was just so freaking well done it looks and sounds gorgeous

This is my first time getting goosebumps from a title drop. Amazing opening.
I literally got goosebumps playing this scene set the tone of the game so well
I only recently started playing the game and after the rollercoaster of the intro I was hooked. But then this scene came up, and there is something really special about it. The way the music swells as you gain control of Jin. The way he reaches down to touch the land he loves. I'm only an hour into the game but I know it's going to be a special experience.
