Two coats of Dulux One Coat! That’s full on beast mode.
I had to do that when I bought my house. Former owner was a smoker and I had to scrub the ceiling with sugar soap and give it two coats of one coat paint so it looked good.
You make this look so easy. It’s looking great
Think about what hes doing off camera
Thank you
Of all the van builds ive watched on youtube yours is the best shaun so helpful and concise. This series truly deserves to blow up viewers wise but who knows if the almighty YT algo will do
Thank you
I got recommended it!
Wow Shaun! It looks beautiful! I’m so impressed with your van building skills! Can’t wait to see the finished version! Excellent job! Looking forward to next week! Cheers!
Thanks so much!
Hi, good vlog! As a retired carpet layer. Here’s a little advice. When using Stanley knives, sharpen the blades with a sharpening stone. It'll save you a fortune. Also, if you cut your finger, don't use masking tape. Use superglue.
Thanks for the tips Henry
The van build is coming along beautifully! Well done Shaun!
Thank you
Adding in the vinyl flooring really brought it to life. Can't wait for next weeks electrical installation ;)
Thank you
Hi Mate. It was great bumping into you and having a chat the other day. Hope you got your timber and i didn't hold you up too long
Nice to meet you mate
Van is coming along nicely
20 minutes to do all that, amazing. I bet you wish it did only take 20 minutes in real life. It looks amazing, what a tidy job. Looking forward to the next video.
Thank you! 😊
So inspired by you shaun. Im going to do my own conversion. A complete novice. Wish me luck
Best of luck
@@LoveSundays what's you thoughts on converting a mini bus?
3:34 nice solvent hood really concentrates those fumes 😆
This is great. You make it look so simple! Thank you for sharing the knowledge.
Looking good can’t wait for the finished product
Thank you for the video just in time. I’m about to put the carpet on mine so now I know I have to do it cheers mate.

Hi Shaun. You are smashing this van conversion. Looking good so far mate 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks 👍
Brilliant tips Shaun, although the furniture is half already done and in storage I’m right at this point on the build so it was great to have a few extra tips be for the vinyl goes down 👍🏼👏🏼
Thank you
Ceiling looks fab👍👍
Thank you
You make it look so easy that your show reminded me of watching "This Old House". Long story short I did and never again so long story short if I ever buy a camper it will be built by somebody like you. Cheers!
The van is looking fab Shaun 👌✊
Great idea to use the veltrim for the door cards and visible metal. I am currently adapting a previously boarded Trafic crewcab, and wondered how I could tidy up around the rear doors, so thanks for the idea. I look forward to part 3, and have subscribed :)
Great Video as always. I can see this van becoming more and more involved in your channel. Can’t go wrong with one you’ve had before
Thanks! 👍
@@LoveSundays pleasure as always
Another great video. Sean with Some great tips . On the wheel arches on the curves cut darts (V) then stick together to get rid of the overlapping for the carpet
Thank you
hi Shawn loving the build already mate you make it look easy loads of ideas as this is gonna be the perfect van in so many ways cheers buddy
Thanks 👍
Looking good so far Shaun 👍

Really good at it,Shaun we sit and watch you every Sunday,,,brilliant and interesting,RUclips should be paying you a lot for your knoligble videos
Thank you
Amazing job.
Thank you! Cheers!
Great video Shaun. I'm sure the bits where it doesn't always go to plan are very funny!!( a bit off effin and jeffin.)
If that's where you live Shaun, I don't think I'd want to travel much, it looks so peaceful 🤔
Yes it’s very peaceful around here
Looking great mate. Cheers Matt from Australia 🇦🇺
Thanks 👍
Mr. Do as I say not as I do.
😷
Love your vids
Thank you
Looking great
Thank you! Cheers!
Great job 👏🏻
Thank you! 😁
Looking great,electris are my headache
That view you have is incredible, dunno how I've only just noticed it 😂
Loving theses videos. Hopefully do something similar one day 🤞
You should!
Smashed it looking forward to next video, wiring? And electrical. My nemesis. .
Thank you
Bish Bash Bosh WALLLAH! Living the dream man. Great Job!
🌏🧡👍
You Make it look so quick and easy 😂
Just a tip for people wanting to do the same cladding and not have to pay for 20 slats.. It definitely takes 16 slats to go across a Vivaro and B&Q only do packs of 5 but if you have a local timber merchant (I went to Alsford Timber) they are happy to sell slats singly.
That’s great advice
Thanks
Thanks Brian
looking good 👍
Thanks 👍
You are doing a brill job shaun well done 👍
❤Phil/Tina x
Thank you
So much easier building a smaller van when the weather is better
Well Done shaun
Thank you
Looking really good, you should think about setting up a business converting vans
Morning Shaun. Wow mate that vans looking good mate well done, don’t get the ceiling wrong mate because your dad will on your case if you do 😂😂
Great vid
Thank you
You are an awesome guy. I wouldn't even attempt doing that.
Thank you
Pop into ur local carpet shop. You'll probably get it for free. All the shops have so much lying around, and even old sample books of carpet can be used!!
Floor carpet? For the walls? Is that a joke? 😂
@LoveSundays no joke, I'm a floor fitter, there's plenty of durable floor carpets that can be put on roof or side, cheap cheerful and comfy 😀
I was really worried for your health seeing you spraying without a mask, especially that close. The van progress is looking great! even though you spread out the days, damn you work fast lol. I'm hoping to get my first van this Summer, I'll definitely be using your videos for tutorials on a lot of aspects. Thanks mate!
Thank you
Sorry to tell you mate, but it’s way cooler than your other van already 😆
Morning 🌄
❤️ SUNDAYS❗️
Thank you
A "Hook"blade really helps with trimming carpet and vinyl.
Good advice
Have you ever thought of adding (if possible) a popup camper top to either of the vans? The extra space (bed) would be helpful as your kid gets older and wants to go camping.
You done a great job so far on that build 👍 it looks fantastic 😊. Shame you didnt get the crease out of that wheel arch, you should of punched it out 👊😂. Loving these vids 😊x
Literally a better done version of my vivaro 😂
😂
should have used some gaffer tape over that opening on the column as it would have given some body for the carpet to stick to
Good idea
Cracking job mate your getting good at this eh? ..lol but seriously this could be a new business
Little tip for you, mate. Did you know that there is a wireless reverse camera helfords and Amazon do them. It's just something I learned after I did my bmw
Nice work When is part 3 ?
Really enjoying your van build series, one thing that hardly anyone shows is about drilling screws into the van especially the floor, do you just drill right through? And are you using self tapping ones? (Especially for the furniture) cheers
Great video mate, the tips with the carpet plus wood slats on roof were very helpful, can you hire the tools needed for the job or do you have to buy?
You can hire tools but if you stick to the same brand you can pick them up fairly cheap as it’s the batteries that cost the money and the batteries work on all the tools from the same brand. Jigsaw drill circular saw all the same battery
Vans coming along nicely Shaun, really taking shape. No draw this week for the Amazon voucher? 😊
No draw this week as I ran out of Amazon money but it will be back soon
Good work! No vapour barrier this time?
I've always wondered about a hammock as a budget bed option in a camper?
Great videos, you have a new subscriber. As a total novice can I ask at around the 17/18 minute mark when you are screwing the batons on the roof. What are you screwing into? Also do you use normal wood screws or a specialist type of screw?
Where did you run the wiring for the lights from/to? Lovely couple of episodes these 👍🏻
Wires for lights ran down the middle of the ceiling across to the pillar behind the drivers seat and down to the floor
You haven't put in a vapour barrier which some other builders recommend. Any reason why not please ?
I put a vapour barrier in my last build but when speaking to dodo mat when I ordered my insulation they said it wasn’t needed.
@@LoveSundays thanks for that
It’s going to look lovely, I’ve got to ask what is the song you use in your videos, I can’t seem to find it, 👍👍
Which one?
It’s on this video around 15minutes in, it sounds like there singing “I’m on fire” I could be wrong tho, 😂
Is there any pre built camper van you’d recommend for a man and wife for nice weekends away please 🙏?
Looks great Shaun. Are you selling this one once done.
I’m considering it
The vents at the rear wheel arches do u cover them in?
Hi there, this is really helpful stuff but for the benefit of newbies like me, can you tell me what sort of screws you use to fix the wood to the metal please 😅
