Moved back to India recently after staying 10 years in US. Feeling much relieved now. No more DS-160s, Visa stamping, advance flight bookings, fake friendship blah blah...
I used to visit India quite often. One of my US friends said, your parents are well, why you visit India that frequently. I replied that I visited India because they are well. I will not wait for something unwanted to happen. By God grace, everything is fine.

I think life in West is too easy, i have lived in US... there are no challenges in day to day life. Everything is so easily available.. that is so boring after some time.. lol.
Plus, the festival/marriage celebration, spirituality, street food, sports, riding bikes scooty in markets that keeps the soul alive here. So much is happening here all the time.

Yes thanks for sharing … this video .. it does resonate .. with my experience in few things . I have moved back to India after . 23 yrs of Denmark . I like to share .. few things here . Of my personal .. life . I am a musician ..by passion and also work ( I don’t like the word work lol .) but anyway . I have been busking - playing music ( as they call it ) on streets of Europe as Europe culture . It’s accepted to play music - I sold my cd ;s As well .
So in India I will have to find places where I can play my music .
And soon opening my music school here in Rishikesh.
Yes I can relate to isolation in Denmark .. sense of always alone . And can’t just talk to anybody. Easily as I do here in India .. and in public transport - always caring if one is too loud etc ..
And then sensed .. they’ with the language .. they worship their language so big relief .. don’t have to speak a foreign language ( tho I like languages.. ) Danish language is very unattractive to me …
And yes at least in Denmark . The sense of never being a first grade citizen - always a second
Grade - ( you will be never one of them lol ) ..And yes about repair
moped repair in Denmark cost . 6000rs an hour .here in India … it’s 100 -200r/s for repair plus .. price of part changed .
    So I am happy .. to. Be back .. ( it’s been just a month )
My mother is running a small meditation centre here in Rishikesh . Osho zen meditation centre .🕉
We are teaching meditation techniques .. like vipasanna.. kundalini etc .
    Plus I teach music ..
guitar . Hand percussions , basic techniques to compose must. From scratch.etc
Hope to make some EX NRI .. friends in India ..
if you want to contact me . I will be glad ..
All the best .. to you all who has returned back to India ( the land of sages and saints ) 🙏🕉🌸🎵🥦🥦🪔

I agree that there could be n number of reasons for coming back to India. But the straight thing I want to let you know in this materialistic world money matters the most without money no one cares whether we are alive or well. Better we earn enough money and come back. Me too came back from US few years back, but all my saving are gone now and I am back to my old self struggling to maintain my expenses can’t keep up to the live style I had in USA, so slowly adjusting.

I think other than family/friends issues, most of your reasons are trivial. I know you have lived in the sweden, but, there are certain pockets in US cities (Bay area, New Jersey, Chicago, Seattle, Atlanta, Michigan ) where you have proper Indian community who play Indian sports on regular basis, have good Indian resto/street food and celebrate festival with better planning
Having said that, I (currently on the path to be US citizen next yr) am planning to come back to India soon and here are my reasons:
    1. US life is getting stressful, even with decent earnings you always feel you don't have enough. My power bill is $400, insurance is almost $500 and it adds up
    2. Don't want to bring my parents to US
    3. Domestic help
    4. Hire a good chef/cook
    4. Meet my relatives (mama, mami, mausis, cousions) more often
    5. Be close to my brother and sister as their kids are growing up
    6. Raise kids in India(dont have yet)

@@hemantaim Did you still miss Indian sports/food? I was in chicago area for few month and detroit area (8 yrs ago) for few months and used to play cricket in a small club. There were lot's of young to middle aged gentlemen who would get together to play every week. Also during winter, we had a large indoor auditorium which we used to play indoor cricket. Definitely, it's never gonna be like India but personally I felt an increase in stamina and balling quality due to cleaner environment. In india I used to get tired very easily but in the US, I could keep going all day, drink heavy in the night and then keep going next day :) Currently I live in seattle where I am a part of asian group where we play table tennis and pool and badminton or regular basis. Food in seattle area is okay, but I am good cook and cook it myself.
But like I said my reason of moving to India is mostly family and culture based.

In USA we only have one routine 7 days a week. wake up- breakfast-go to work-dinner at 6 or 7- and than spent sometime watching Tv and than sleep.
