Love these videos, watched all 3 parts. Man some nasty repairs. I have some nasty stuff to fix too =/ Have a lot of play in the pop shafts. In both front and rear. But i'm too afraid of thinkering with those things. I just hope its not a problem with the diff, but the axes. But it could also be in the selector box as well.
Thanks. Still lot of work ahead of me. You can determine if there is a play in drive shafts and prop shafts by applying small movements by hand. In mine there is small play in rear prop as well. So this will be done and shown in future videos.
Thank you. At the time I found it on allegro.pl which is Polish equivalent of ebay. But pretty sure you will be able to find it localy as well. From what I remember part numbers are: MR580388, MI298.
Timing kit is on to do list since vehicle have 230k km. But it will take some time before I will get to that part. Next in line is fuel tank, full rear and front suspension including bearing and brakes. Once those will be out of the way then it will be time to work on engine. It's taking few seconds to start it up (cold and warm) so valve clearance will be checked and then infamous fuel pump, not forgetting about fuel injectors and glow plugs.
Hi, thank you for showing interest. I'm still working on Audi. This engine rebuild was not planned at all. But right now I need to finish it to make space in garage for Pajero. To be honest it will take some time before new Pajero video will be uploaded. If everything will go well mid Feb I will start working on it again. And cannot wait to do that!
Hi, I don't remember having any play whatsoever or vibrations. The only reason I change CV was oil leak. Hence I was trying to save that joint, but retain spring was just holding too well.
Hi, I cannot figure it out from your description where leak is coming from. Send me some pictures on oggrepairs@gmail.com or instagram instagram.com/oggrepairs/ I will try to help.
I am trying to find the CV joint and U joint of front propshaft Pajero IV but only found the whole shaft, not the part of it. Can you share the part number or link to the only CV joint and U joint of this front propshaft?
Hi, Part number for front CV joint should be MR580388, MI298. Unfortunately I'm not sure regarding U joint, please check if that will fit: e-pajero.pl/uklad-napedowy/270-krzyzak-walu-napedowego-77x25-pajero-l200-l300-l400-mr196838.html, part number might be MR196838 MB000948 MB000826 MR196900
Hello, thank you very much! Project is delayed by unforseen circumstances. I inherited Audi A4 B5 from 2000 which needed urgent attention and ... engine replacement. I have lots of material on this one but no time to publish it on YT. Within one or two months Audi should be completed and then I will move back to Pajero. Sorry for delay.
Hi, Thanks, I didn't remove it yet. This job is coming next, once I will have some spare time. But look at this video of rear seal replacement ruclips.net/video/s2PDsYaCBac/видео.html it doesn't look that bad. It seems that all you have to do here is to remove bolts at the diff side and then pull out whole shaft.
And one very important thing, do not drop the rear shaft. According to manual, and from what I can see on mine, center part is made out of carbon fiber.
@@offgridgaragerepairs thanx for the reply! Yeah Its really important to not crack it. Well managed to remove it last evening. Must take down my V5M31 manuall transmission to try to fix it. Its the gear selector is in neutral but the gear is in 1st. So hoping it is not so advanced to fix.
@@svenna11 Great that rear shaft is out. Hoping that it will be easy fix, like selector linkage and not the gearbox turret or gears itself. Let me know how it went. Good luck.

Whole list below: Mitsubishi Pajero III, 2.5 TD 2000-2006 (V64 V74) Mitsubishi Pajero III, 3.0 2000-2006 (V73) Mitsubishi Pajero III, 3.2 DiD 2000-2006 (V68 V78) Mitsubishi Pajero III, 3.5 DOHC 2000-2006 (V65 V75) Mitsubishi Pajero III, 3.5 GDI 2000-2002 (V65 V75) Mitsubishi Pajero III, 3.5 OHC 2000-2006 (V65 V75) Mitsubishi Pajero IV, 3.2 DiD 2007-2018 (V88 V98) Part number MR580389 MR453516 MR410559 e-pajero.pl/uklad-napedowy/2072-wal-napedowy-przedni-m-t-pajero-iii-iv-mr580389-mr453516-mr410559.html So in my understanding if front shaft is matching then CV boot will match as well. But just in case I would recommend to contact your nearest Mitsubishi dealer and cross check that with your VIN number.
