I know how it works because I worked for 10yrs at an adult state prison and 6yrs at a mental institution. Get experience and get educated on how the Law works before you make judgment..

@@shy3805 Actually....the court decision that has made the separation possible was from the 9th circuit - a traditionally left leaning district court - back in 2015. So yes, families were separated during the Obama administration and this Congressman's demagoguery does not help the situation. The current administration is operating off current law brought about by a left leaning circuit court during the previous administration, yet has not made such a fuss when the decision came about. If THAT isn't lying, then I don't know what is; lying about what standards you will place no matter who sits in the Oval Office.
It is also called Christmas in this country because the values that brought about the Bill of Rights and Constitution were built on thousands of years of Judeo - Christian values. If the legislative branch really cared about family separation, they would have created a law years ago.
