Just so you know: that sauna does work. There's two switches under the electric heater/stove. Turn them by scrolling mouse wheel. You can fill the bucket in the shower. Pick up the dipper, press F and then you can fill it from the bucket by clicking left mouse button and throw the water by right clicking. It takes some time for the sauna to heat up.
the sauna works, you have to fill tge bucket first :D

18:43 Just to make things clear, attaching Spark plugs now requires a sparkplug socket/wrench in the later versions of the game for those of you who were confused like me.

Yeah, you need to piss to survive. Also, those other two buttons has already come in handy in my playthrough. Flipped the van on its side, punched out the windshield and swore like a sailor.

Engine works in this game without rocker cover because that is how you adjust your valves while engine is running.
Then why the hell can't I adjust mine when I take the rocker cover off?

Of corse, I hope you're going to build it from the scrap on the video, not gonna skip anything. This almost looks looks like tinkering in world of guns. Only MUCH more advanced.
And since we're here, you could always play it. They have cars too. You have to buy em, since it's a f2p, but they're really well done.
It was a build guide for me as it helped me build the engine. You get the fan belt from the shop which you have to drive to.

The sauna works, you have to turn it on first then you can throw water and get steam
And I believe that the reason why you can sleep in the "kid's bed" is because you're an 18 year old boy and your parents are on summer holiday somewhere, hence why you only eat sausages and drink beer.

Also, the reason why the shower is so big (in case someone wonders) it's because we don't have changing rooms for changing clothes, you're supposed to have a small bench or shelf in the shower room where you change clothes, rather than having to walk out in the cold house after enjoying the sauna. This is at least what I think the reason is, might have some other cultural reason behind it but at least in the apartment houses that have a common sauna they don't have a changing room but they change clothes in the shower room.

Hey, this is a pretty good tutorial. Don’t forget about the Alternator Belt when assembling the engine, this is how the battery recharges.

the "piston hole" is called a cylinder the 8x8 "truck" was a wooden train and irl you can start a motor without the valve cover but it's not advised to drive anywhere or run it for long amounts of time it's there to keep oil for the rockers

the game has good basic strategy and concepts but as a car guy this game is really distorting the procedures of building an engine, for example like cleaning and derusting the block, pre lube and oil the bearing surfaces and so on. But still pretty good.

Block, crankshaft, bearings, pistons, camshaft, camshaft gear, timing chain, timing cover, water pump, water pump pulley, crankshaft pulley, engine plate, starter, flywheel, clutch (3 parts), oil pan, gearbox, drive gear, head gasket, cylinderhead, rocker shaft, rocker cover, header, carburetor, oil filter, air filter, alternator, spark plugs, fuel pump, distributor, and electronics!
I knew you had a special scroll wheel!!!! I could tell right away when you screwed things in super quickly!!!

ABSOLUTELY The best tutorial I've ever SEEN about this game! Fast and precise, very very explanatory (sorry for my bad English I don't think that is the exact word). I did the suspension and everything else by myself but the engine was a pain in the ass......I really didn't know exactly how to build it but your tutorial was absolutely awesome!!!
I have one question however: If I buy the TWIN Carburetors from the Catalog do I need the Air Filter installed? I tried to install it and I don't see that checkmark anywhere..........
Maybe future updates will bring turbos and a lot of other mods and vehicles :) This game is amazing! Not very graphical but awesome in terms of physics and realism.

Just an FYI for anyone who is following this guide. You cant tighten spark plugs with your hands now. You need to use the new tool in the tool box :)

the rocker cover also doubles as a tank for motor oil. which is sorta important.
16:16 irl you could run an engine without the rocker cover just fine - the only issue is each rocker has a little jet of oil that comes out to lubricate itself, so that would make a mess. But that's all it's there for, it doesn't hold and pressure or anything.

You're wrong about the sauna. You need to fill the bucket with more water from the shower and then press F to "Wield" the Dipper when holding it, to be able to throw water(left click fills the dipper from bucket, right click throws). Also you need to turn the sauna stove on.
You will need F later too for wielding the torch or the axe or the sledgehammer.
