    The way you high lighted names and used different colors to denote 1st., 2nd., 3rd. cousin marriages made this easy to follow. Thank you

    So it wasn't so much of a tree, as a circle. Better than the Habsburg column I guess. One could say that the rich were also in favor of isolating themselves in the backwoods.😆But seriously, this illustrates the gap between the classes quite well. If it weren't for the lower classes we may all be extinct.

    As a child one of my elders said the reason why we had sanitariums was because the rich would donate/build them for the defective relations they wanted to hide away. . . Well, this certainly supports that idea.

    Do we know if any of the offspring of these unions had any genetic disabilities?

      You might want to check this out: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_du_Pont I remember that murder case well, we lived in Southeastern PA at the time.

    What family tree template do you use?

    It wasn't about purity of blood but to keep money in the family. Disgusting. It would probably not be so lopsided in the world if so much inbreeding hadn't happened. I wonder how different the distribution of wealth would be if none of the inbreeding happened. Know anyone good w math?

    i know first cousins and even second cousins having children is genetically bad, but what about third cousins onward?

    • @sd-ch2cq
      @sd-ch2cq 9 месяцев назад +3

      When you get to second and third cousins the risk gets pretty low, as long as the offspring doesn't marry their cousins in turn.

    • @lightyagami3492
      @lightyagami3492 8 месяцев назад +2

      3rd or 4th cousins marrying probably isnt a bad thing genetically as long as there wasnt already a history of inbreeding in those peoples ancestry.
