commented this before but I still have the same thoughts - if amazing race asia ever comes back, phil and erin would make such a great team !!! so good at navigating, very adventurous, funny and great personalities, super smart, etc!!!
Hi! I’ve been following your channel for months, and I absolutely love how you share your experiences in the Philippines! As a Filipino from Batangas, I’ve always appreciated how you embrace the culture here. Have you ever considered spending a few days in a rural area like Sagada in the Mountain Province? I’ve been there, and it’s absolutely wonderful! You could even live with a local family to fully immerse yourselves in the traditional way of life. It’s a great way to experience the local culture, breathtaking landscapes, and the simplicity of provincial living. Plus, don’t miss out on trying the local food like pinikpikan or etag! It would add such a unique and authentic dimension to your journey, and I’m sure your viewers would love it too! Keep up the amazing work-you’re inspiring so many people! - Dann
Enjoyed this episode! I got all questions correct (I'd be worried if I didn't because we're Guide to the Philippines!). For Mayon Volcano, it's located in Albay Province and covers multiple cities/municipalities, not just Legazpi City. :)
Thanks, Gem! I needed a little help with that Albay answer 😉 we love that we get to learn more and more about the Philippines by traveling through Guide To The Philippines 🫶
Very nice idea. I was waiting for the most common question, “How many islands are there in the Philippines? - Low tide & High tide! I wanna see more of this segment w/ harder questions in multiple choice format.
Hi Phil and Erin, that's actually a lot of fun. Trivia is a great game, I was thinking that you could have gotten a couple of call bells. That will have such a nice sound effect 😊.
Maaaan, I hope you’ll do this again in the future! I was there on vacation recently and my hotel (Seda BGC, which I plan to stay at again) was literally just around the corner. It would’ve been so fun to play! I was born there but have lived most of my life here in the states. I knew only a few answers 😂
The best place you can. Do this is in the USA or in any other Filipino communities abroad especially during a filipino celebration.. like filipino barrio fiesta in the Uk😊 usually in the US Filipinos gather during independence day.
She was actually right. Mayon in Albay. Legaspi City is only one of the 2 or 3 cities surrounding the volcano. It might be the most popular place to see the volcano. Fact Check/Trivia for Us: Mayon is the main landmark and highest point of the province of Albay and the whole Bicol Region in the Philippines, rising 2,463 meters (8,081 ft) from the shores of Albay Gulf about 10 kilometers (6.2 mi) away.[9][10] The volcano is geographically shared by the eight cities and municipalities of Legazpi, Daraga, Camalig, Guinobatan, Ligao, Tabaco, Malilipot, and Santo Domingo (clockwise from Legazpi), which divide the cone like slices of a pie when viewing a map of their political boundaries. Very entertaining! I honestly thought Phil will at least have a fighting chance against the contestants unless he just wants to have that yummy dalandan with the hot weather outside. 😄
Hahaha you made that street trivia a quickie. To be honest, guys do some more research best books on history, geography and culture of the philippines is at the city library.
You were right, the biggest currency bill in the country is ₱100K and it's included in the Guinness book of World Records to be the highest currency in legal tender. You won't be seeing it circulating because if it's high value and only a 1000 of it was made. There is no ₱10000 bill in the country.
I enjoyed this video. I can't believe they don't know the first two questions. They should've learned Bonifacio in school, and Laguna bay, it's so big it screams at you every time you look at the map. Maybe they don't use maps lol. Other than that, very nice video as always. Thank you for sharing
@@livethephilippines that is true. By the way, welcome back to the Philippines. I enjoyed your trip to San Diego. I miss that place, moved out last year after living there for over 30 years. It is just too expensive. Anyways, always looking forward to more of your videos. I will be reaching out to Grazie, for some merchs for my channel. Thank you for the help, I am still learning and have noone to ask. God Bless your all.
Hey Guys The Best Trivia You Can Do Is To " HAVE ONE OF YOUR VLOG SPEAKING IN FILIPINO/TAGALOG" That Would Be Interesting To Watch. Waiting For That To Happen & Thanks.
In 1998, the 100,000-piso Centennial banknote, measuring 8.5"x14", accredited by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's largest legal tender note was issued in a limited quantity of 1000 pieces to commemorate the celebration of the Centennial of Philippine Independence. Wiki
Hello! I'm Filipino-American based in California. I'm wondering if I'm able to buy the hat you're wearing that you personally designed. That would be awesome to promote and sell to Fil-Ams here in the US. 💕😎

Thanks for the fact check! Glad we gave her that point 😊
Played dalawa ads for you guys. Thanks for promoting the Philippines
We appreciate you!
3 major island groups not regions
Albay is the province, Bicol is the region, Legazpi is the City. But technically it is shared with Tabaco City also.
Very entertaining! I honestly thought Phil will at least have a fighting chance against the contestants unless he just wants to have that yummy dalandan with the hot weather outside. 😄
The dalandan was worth losing for 😆😃

Albay and Legazpi city are both wrong, yes its in in region of Albay but the right place where Mayon Volcano is located is in Daraga Albay, sorry guys😊
