This was so interesting. Probably my favorite bottle shoot of yours. I learn so much from your videos. Thank you. Really looking forward to see how you put those two together in post
Thanks man! Don't remember if I made a retouching video for this one...
I've waited so long.... love your videos man

Super! My compliments for your new website. But please... don't stop your video!! :-) Cheers
Thanks! Well, the plan is to do lots of videos in the feature. 😃
My friend, nice to see you again!!
Hey! Nice that you dropped by!
Thank You for new tutorial.
You're welcome!
Thanks for coming back!
You're very welcome!
Fantastic tutorial what I learned in 10 minutes is invaluable!
That is very nice to hear, happy to help!
@@botvidsson already planning to a few gridded snoot and and and monolights zoom reflectors with honeycomb grids. Thank you so very much.
@@iancxxx Reflector with honeycomb grid is everything in product photography in my opinion. Go for it!
Hi, love your videos, thank you for taking the time to explain every step, i'm learning a lot, can you please make a video about your set up and equipment you use for example your home made small diffuser (:
Thanks Leon! I will do more videos about the gear and stuff I make, might just be exclusive videos for the "coffee supporters" though... Have not decided yet 🤔
Great video showing the breakdown of a job from start to finish! Would love to see you photograph one of your Profoto lights in your style. Although David Bicho's style is pretty too.
Yes that would actually be fun BUT David is a very close friend so I feel a bit uncomfortable doing that for some reason... we'll have to see, maybe I will do it one day anyway 😀 Thanks for the suggestion though, a great one.
@@botvidsson I completely understand and I appreciate David's work as well, but perhaps if you buy him some snuff, a nice coffee and a book about penumbras he will be more open to this idea XD or even better you should just do an episode with him lol.
Yes, that's probably the best idea. Invite him and let him show how to shoot a Profoto flash and some SNUS too 😉
Thanks for yet another great tutorial. Also, it's probably far too boring a request for your channel, but I'd love to see a video on how to consistently shoot small products on a pure white background, i.e. the ubiquitous but elusive "Amazon look", without using Photoshop.
Yes, I'm not a big fan of white background but probably I should do a shoot like that.
Awesome
👍🏻
love your videos! just subscribed! I wondered if you have ever shot a similar bottle, same final appearance without having a diffusion behind? so as to keep your background black without having to composite liquid or background afterwards?
I have another whisky bottle video on the channel but also with bright background. Never done with dark background, I will put it on my list :) Thanks!
Waiting for the second part
Soon my friend, soon... 😀
Every time I watch the teacher's video, I am very happy, the teacher is very talented in comedy
Hopefully not only in comedy 😁
WOW,cool
Thanks!!
He's back!
The man behind the mask... Maybe you're too young for that reference 🤔 Anyway, thanks!!
@@botvidsson I'm older then you brother. I got it!
Michael Little Haha, great 👍🏼
This is a great video but i couldn’t find the photoshop part. Would you please share the link of it?
Sorry I don’t think I have that
Cool)
👍🏼
Isn't it a bit too much for an avertissement for an IKEA table? ;)) (nice to see you back btw)
Yeah, waiting for the IKEA check 😁 Thanks man!
Thanks again for making another cool video. I’d like to learn photoshop better for retouching my images. Do you have any advice on the best way to learn?
My favourite Photoshop guys on RUclips are PiXimperfect and Phlearn, start there.
Thank you!!
Welcome back, we need some more videos please. Thank you for all of these.
Would be nice if you shot a shiny textured deodorant.
Hi, do you mean a non shiny deo, like matte surface?
@@botvidsson Hi, Thank you for answering !
I don't mean a matte surface, i mean a shiny reflecting surface black or red deo for example.
@@botvidsson Found it difficult to deal with cylindrical reflecting deodorant bottles, especially dark colored ones.
Yes, sounds like a challenge. Maybe...
@@botvidsson Hope we see more from you soon.
Show us your 200 Liter barrel with cognac from which you refill the bottle :) Thanks for tutorial!
It stands next to my whisky barrel... Thanks! 😂
ഗുഡ് വീഡിയോ 👌
Thanks a lot!
Would love to see a video comparing the 3 weights of the Translum. I’m about to buy a roll and I’m not sure which weight to go for. Everyone so far has said heavyweight. I’ve got 300w lights.
Sounds to me like you need the medium but I need to unpack it and do some testing.
botvidsson thanks, will wait to watch your tests
be back to see and learn from you but definitly don't now how did you photoshop the bottle without your hand ? Did you use a picture with your hand on the other side of the bottle or I don't know ?
Yes exactly like that, hand on the other side and I took many shots to find the correct angle
@@botvidsson Thx very much
Thx For great content. I ve got a question. What do you using For creating borders on Water?
It's just some white tape. Not so good, starting to leak after a while 😮
@@botvidsson yeah i ve been trying something like this. But its come to an end very fast.
Thx u. I like to watching your Chanel.
Thanks!!
Thanks for this great video! Can I ask you what kind/brand of transparent foil you are using? I can't find similar here on large rolls in the Netherlands
That's funny cuz I buy my Savage translum medium from the Netherlands 😁 www.cameranu.nl/en/p673065/savage-trans-lum-152-x-549cm-mediumweight
@@botvidsson ah, tack så mycket, I buy al my products at Camera Nu. I think I searched for the wrong keywords :-)
Great!
I am not a photographer but really really want to study product shooting more. You said you used 100mm macro lens but I see the Camera is not that close to the object. I don't know much about the lens so I wonder why you have to use micro lens this time. It's not possible with the lens of 24-105mm? Lastly I love your shooting every time!
Hi, you can shoot with any lens, absolutely.
I like the compression ("look") the 100mm lens give to the image, that's why I use the 100mm to all my shots... almost.
If I want to have a bit of distortion to the image (hero-look) I put on the 50mm lens.
I always recommend to get the 100mm macro cuz IF you are going to shoot close up stuff like watches you will need the macro, it's good to have.
@@botvidsson Ok then I absolutely will buy 100mm because I really really really want to shoot like you! Thank you so much! I love Sweden!
@@Kumnak If you can find the old Canon 100mm macro it works great, I had that for long.
@@botvidsson I will fry to find!! Thank you so much!!!! Have a nice day!!
Hi Martin, what size tabletop do you use?
This IKEA tabletop is approx 100x50cm. It's called Glasholm but IKEA doesn't make them anymore... unfortunately.
botvidsson ok thank you, I found something similar on amazon with black glass.
@@thomasjames7644 Great to hear!
