Last time when i was bored at home, so i do product photo by stacking 5 photos with Nikon. One part of photo was metal plate like a floor, night warm lamp with classic 60W bulb like light source, and of course parfume - this was a object. I was suprised how easy it was without any equipment. I think creative photographer can do any photos in any condition. Like smartphone and one ledlamp. Nice video !

This is mastery. Thanks for sharing with us you don't need expensive kits to get the job done. An understanding of light and a little creativity can still make a great image. You could use the torch of another phone. You can use a desk lamp. Alan Watts said the sound of the rain needs no translation and I think it applies well here.

Yes, why not. It's all about understanding the light, does not matter what light source you're using. Flashes are better and easier but this an option for those who starting out. Thanks!

Love your tutorials. Can you do a tutorial taking a product photo of a glossy ceramic vase. I cannot figure out the soft box placement so that I don’t see nasty light reflection on the vase. I have not tried illuminate it from the bottom yet.
Yes, those objects can be very tricky. Probably I would place the flash on an angle from the top. It’s hard for me to get hold of specific objects, you need to come and bring and I’ll show you how I would do. But you might not live around the corner...

Try bouncing the soft box light off of a large white surface such as a white wall or card that is not close to the base. Try 8 or 10 feet away to start.
Or suspend a diffusion material several feet away from the vase then fully illuminate the back side of the diffuser with your light. A useful (and cheap) diffusion material such as a white plastic shower curtain or table cover can be found at dollar stores.

Most of the time I like your videos but I really hated this one. We don't have enough so called, "professional" photographers walking around with digitals screwing up the profession? Now you're going to tell everyone with a phone they can be a professional too? Thanks a lot!!!!!!!!!!!
The title clearly states how to "become" a professional. Are all professionals not amateurs at some point? To become something means to change from something else. He is giving the pure beginner an option versus going out and maxing out a credit card buying $20, 000 worth of gear. They can start with the phone to learn composition and lighting, then as they make a little money doing small shoots they can upgrade gear on the path to "become" a professional.
