Elsie, my wife and I are so sorry to hear about Earl, we are praying for you and your family. Here is the video that we took of his last harvest. ruclips.net/video/dTSNPJ5RdTA/видео.html That day was special and unique; days before a lot of rain occurred and there was no action but we caught Earl in action. His field was ready to be harvested and it was the best harvest he ever had-he was very happy. Earl was the only farmer we saw that day. God bless.
@@libasan Thank you for your comments and all you did it encourage Earl. We have special memories of him from these last days showing his love of farming and doing things the old way. May God bless you! ❤️
The 1240 and the 494 are great planters. I used a 494 to plant 300 acres for many years. They may not be as precise as the new equipment, but they will do a good job.
Great video; love Farmer Earl! Did I mention that he is my brother? We farm exactly like he does: our rows are 42” here in the south growing vegetables and love the ever popular 4020 John Deere tractors! No, he’s not nuts! We love the old ways too! We’re also in our 70’s!
@@libasan You must not have heard that Farmer Earl Klager passed away December 28, 2021 from covid. So sad; he thought he could beat it himself and waited too long to get help. We’re supposed to be renting out the land but not exactly sure about that.
This is same farmer tilling soil with caterpillar you have video on He's not old school because equipment that's 5 to10 yrs is outdated with this push for green energy and equipment manufacturers own the technology They went full circle on the planters uses places& vacuum setup What this farmer is doing is quiet time get away from all the noise ,chaos .You know what I mean
Just a good old boy doing the good old way. There are less and less of these old boys left.
I like this guy. He's very well-spoken, he sounds like a very good teacher of farming.
Please follow up with this guy throughout the year, really enjoy seeing these old timers getting it done with the old equipment! Great video!
I hope to run into Farmer Earl again later this year. Thanks for watching!
Great video! He reminds me of my grandfather. Always was excited to teach me how to do things and tell me stories of the good old days.
Glad you enjoyed it!
So glad you made this video; this is the last pictures we have of my brother, Earl. Sadly, he passed away December 28, 2021 from covid-pneumonia.

Hi Elsie, I have gone by Earl's field a few times this spring but I still have not seen him in action.
