Scott Stapp Somber (Original Version)

- The original version of Somber before Art of Anarchy remixed (and butchered) it. I always thought this song was the closest Stapp got to making a Creed song post The Great Divide. Lyrically and musically this felt like the sequel to My Own Prison.
The purpose of these uploads is not to infringe on copyright or spoil future releases, but rather to preserve these songs in some way shape or form. Seeing as these songs are already forgotten by those who made them. My goal with these uploads is to assure they remain remembered. Should they be properly released in the future I will gladly remove them.

YES Oh my god, the original solo version is so much better than the Anarchy version, there's just more raw emotion here
Musically too dude. I don't understand how they butchered it. Its not that hard to play. Wish he saved it for Creed honestly. Imagine Mark on this?
@@rawkguy4896 Oh yeah musically too it feels so raw and heavy, like Scott's vocals are great on the Anarchy version but it just didn't feel anywhere near the same. If Mark was on it he would have made the song such a BEAST
@@SamtheAngelFox Scott's vocals are the only thing I like about the new version, as his voice finally healed. I think he sounds like his Creed voice again on that album....
But ironically I think his Full Circle voice makes the OG Somber work. It matches how sad the song is. Wish he'd just release it again

Oh yeah it so would have! If I remember too Somber is what more or less lead to Overcome? since both share a line of lyrics
@@SamtheAngelFox Dude we just need that Creed V album and then we'll be set. His voice is perfect for new Creed
I prefer this one over the art of anarchy version myself. Idk why, cuz I know stapps vocal was also lower when he had voice issues, but he improved his voice by the time art of anarchy covered it. Still like his solo version

I have a snippet of a Creed song that was never fully completed. It was recorded for a documentary on the band that was never released. Sounded like it could have been a good song had it been finished.
Is it Do It All Over? I have that one too. I was gonna upload that one, and two (live) unreleased Creed V songs in the coming weeks.

@@axelhuerta7297 I do weekly uploads of rare Grunge/Post Grunge songs. I'll put the Creed ones up within the next couple of weeks. Considering Creed is done for I doubt I'll get any strikes for them haha
