This by far is his best song. The pain in his songs. Mental health issues made him best song writer. No one knows pain unless you have gone threw. It's hell.
I remember how i got interested with his vocal talents. when MTV used to actually show music videos I saw Creed "With Arms wide open" wonderful song but its his talent at singing and putting his soul in his music why I like it so much. And this song reminds me of that. Great song a great voice and great performance
great song..... scott is among the few that really makes hit after hit .... this more mature and this sounds different to what was done but before ... scott forever!!
This is one talented dude. I'm stoked Creed is back and staying. If these songs are the throw outs wonder what the solo album will be like. Pretty sweet tune.
This song reminds me of the sobering feeling of losing something true... Coming from a guy who always loved Creed and switched to Alter bridge after the breakup, I think both Scott and Myles have incredible talent. Although, I feel that Scott and Mark have the best combination that is difficult to overcome, or surpass. I feel that the quality of a song should be given a label from the dynamics and heart put into a song rather than the person himself. I'm looking forward to music from both bands.
Wow what an amazing song! This guy is just so talented. I love his faith too...:) Praise God for someone like Scott Stapp. For a bloke he is brilliant with his transparency. His music is such a good medium for him to share his journey in life.
Ready for Space Between The Shadows tour this year! Going to 3 shows! I also love this song! Purpose For Pain, Name and Face Of The Sun are all beyond my expectations, this is your best solo album and we've only heard 3 songs so far, love you Scott, see you on tour!
Great song Scott "Somber: serious and sad in appearance or feeling" Think we have all been there or are there now ........... you give us a path out .......... Thanks mate !!
@epicrate31 they don't suck, and especially not because he reused one line (and only once.) The song is entirely different anyway, with a different tempo and meaning. Also, in my opinion, there are many "goog" things about Stapp and Creed, which kick some ass.
I love the solo music, but here's what I would do if I was Scott: I would combine my solo music into Creed. I mean, wouldn't that be more profitable? And wouldn't it be fucking awesome if Creed and Alter Bridge could not only co-exist, but combine into the greatest post grunge band the world has ever seen?
Scott Stapp é a minha maior influência musical. A música é a minha vida. Tenho alguns videos aqui no youtube.
It was probably corporate commander's(record label) idea to cut the song. This is probably the longest song than any of the other new songs. Great song. Needs Tremonti on guitars to add a better solo.
I'm not putting him down or anything. I just prefer Mark Tremonti's guitar work. At least this guitarist can produce some worthwhile riffs unlike a lot of other solo projects and bands out there trying to make a name for themselves.
This song isn't from Proof of Life session. It was recorded to the album Between Lust and Love, who should be released in 2008, but Wind-up said he must come back to studio and record some more song. Then Creed came back and he didn't release this album, unfortunately.
@alloutrockfan I agree Scott is a better lyricist than Vedder (although he's gotten better over the years) but I prefer Vedder's singing because I think he has a wider emotional vocal range, just look at Jeremy. & I also agree about Myles, if someone doesn't have anything worth saying, then it doesn't matter how they say it, u won't hear it. That's why I loved "What If", Scott really had something to say.
you guys all need to grow up, First of all Myles and Scott are two different types of people and singers, furthermore Mark is friends with both of them! and Creed and Alterbridge are two different bands enouph said
@alloutrockfan Sorry. just kinda assumed. That's what the comment looked like. But I would rather you just don't compare the two. Because Myles has so much passion for the type of music he does. And same about Scott. They are two completely different artists. Both equally incredible at what they do.
I'm stoked for the new album. But I'm still kinda pissed that on august 8th 2008 I was running to every music store I knew, looking for a the album he promised would be released that day. His myspace page counted down the days until that day came, and the cd didn't come out. Everyone at F.Y.E. and best buy, thought I was crazy. But I'll forgive him someday. haha.
Loving this song. Apparently this IS going to be on the album but with a special guest in it. You can check out Scott's new album preview he did here /watch?v=o-xR5RnS2bQ
TheUSNMA2 hmmm if you listen carfully, Scott voice is much better now, the tone is higher, and here Scott uses a bunch of pitch correction while in the AoA version is a clean voice
Toni CESAR You can thank Ron Bumblefoot Thal for that on the new AOA album, he also served as a producer for the album. He is an amazing Musician and Producer in my opinion.
@alloutrockfan Don't get me wrong, I am a huge Scott Stapp fan, but Myles can write music amazingly too. Don't underrate him just because you don't like him.
I fucking love this. It's been a year and I haven't been able to stop listening to it. Myles Kennedy a better songwriter than Scott Stapp? FUCK NO! Kennedy hasn't been able to put half the meaning into all of his songs that Scott was able to put in half an album. Quite frankly, Scott has 1000x the voice Myles does. Fuck range, it's all about tone. Scott is much more adept for rock than Myles is.
This by far is his best song. The pain in his songs. Mental health issues made him best song writer. No one knows pain unless you have gone threw. It's hell.
this is one of the best songs of there! Dang, 51 now and I miss the songs/groups of our time!
I just cannot believe that this song did not make the cut. It would probably be the best song on the album....:)
Yeah me too. Love this hidden jem. Maybe because it's too "somber" and non-commercial. It could've been inclided as a bonus track.
Which album?
I think all of anything Scott Stapp sings should be and is too me golden
Welp, it got reworked for Art Of Anarchy although personally, I like this version a hair more.
@@vigil12348this isn't a creed song
I remember how i got interested with his vocal talents. when MTV used to actually show music videos I saw Creed "With Arms wide open" wonderful song but its his talent at singing and putting his soul in his music why I like it so much. Congratulations Scott... you are the best! So please... come to Brazil!!!
great song..... scott is among the few that really makes hit after hit .... this more mature and this sounds different to what was done but before ... scott forever!!
Goosebumps every time..that voice..that feeling💓
OMG, I absolutely LOVE it. I'm so thankful Creed is back together. And to hear Scott's voice is fantastic. It's breathtaking...
"Adiós sin compasión" temazooo!!! La mejor voz Scott!
This is one talented dude.
I'm stoked Creed is back and staying.
If these songs are the throw outs
wonder what the solo album will be like.
Pretty sweet tune.
Beautiful song amazing vocals and music
They don't make music like this anymore, heck my 6 year old keeps asking me to play it over and over!
It's a shame those times are gone. Love Creed.
this song for far should had been in the album. I really dig this flow.
so beautiful! May God Bless you and your family, Scott.
Still Tremendous
He should have released BETWEEN LUST & LOVE & NOT RENSMED & REDONE ALBUM!!!!!!! SUPER PUMPED FOR THE SPACE BETWEEN THE SHADOWS THIS SUMMER!!!!!!!
This song reminds me of the sobering feeling of losing something true... My all time best singer never get old hearing Scott sing the passion he has for musica is so great
THIS SONG IS FREAKIN HOTT !! if this is one of his throw away tracks then,i can't wait to hear the album !
Speechless...
Wow what an amazing song! This guy is just so talented. I love his faith too...:)
Praise God for someone like Scott Stapp. For a bloke he is brilliant with his transparency. His music is such a good medium for him to share his journey in life.
I love this song so much, thank you Scott Stapp, so many of your lyrics resonate!
VENHA PARA O BRASIL, STAPP!
Lucas Carvalho ele veio
Ready for Space Between The Shadows tour this year! Going to 3 shows! I also love this song! Purpose For Pain, Name and Face Of The Sun are all beyond my expectations, this is your best solo album and we've only heard 3 songs so far, love you Scott, see you on tour!
This song proves that the albums gonna be amazing! This song is just incredible!
Can't wait for the album! Keep doin what u do Scott! 8D
So many thx Scott Stapp. After hearing this song I,m no longer somber. May God be with you.
Love the song.
I can hear lyrics from full circle.
@scottstapp song gives me chills!
Vintage Stapp. Love it!
One of my favorites and always will be!
Great song Scott "Somber: serious and sad in appearance or feeling" Think we have all been there or are there now ........... you give us a path out .......... Thanks mate !!

Siiiim , essa canção é D+++😮
EXTRAORDINARIO
excelente
sweet song!
Tremendous Record
i hate it when ppl compare between them
each has unique qualities , both are great musicians
and i love Creed & Alter Bridge
yeah it is, i remember him saying that the full circle album is full of lyrics he took from his solo work.
His amazing lyrics relate to me and many others. Poignant.
@superfry21 Thanks for taking the time to do that
@thatsmydj3 CT is 4/14 and NJ is 4/16. scottstapp website has it correct. I'll have to take a look at his myspace.
@ChristianARTreview ... amazing timber in his voice.. so goodlooking to boot!
this just hit the spot @ work I just lost two bffs now ex-bffs this song is my life
There are parts of the lyrics that are in some of the new creed songs.. ....but either way...its pretty sick! im pumped for the rest of the album!
Love him or Hate him but Wow!!! can he sing.
Would love to hear this song at 4/16 show. Lyrics remind me of a past "friend".
How true it's the way alot of us feel 😥
@epicrate31 they don't suck, and especially not because he reused one line (and only once.) The song is entirely different anyway, with a different tempo and meaning. Also, in my opinion, there are many "goog" things about Stapp and Creed, which kick some ass.
omg i love this song ..........superfry could u send me this pic of him ???pleaseeeee lol awesome pic n song :)
scott stapp surprised me with this, its actually good. altough it sounds like he used some of these lyrics on the creed song 'overcome.'
This version fits the title better ..
@greg0drummer0 These wouldn't be throwbacks from Creed. Mark Tremonti writes the Creed songs. Scott will just write lyrics and some vocal melodies.
@greg0drummer0 This song kicks ass man. Shit is deep. Your right man he is one talented dude. His lyrics get all up in your head makes you think.
❤❤❤
YESEAH!
Man this song sounds like old Creed man......Love it!!!! How can I find this to burn, download, buy, etc???
@superfry21 it's 'silent screams I can't ignore' not 'silent screams are getting old'
It was probably corporate commander's(record label) idea to cut the song. This is probably the longest song than any of the other new songs. Great song. Needs Tremonti on guitars to add a better solo.
To say this guitarist isn't well known and in guitar magazines, I thought that solo was pretty damn good
I'm not putting him down or anything. I just prefer Mark Tremonti's guitar work. At least this guitarist can produce some worthwhile riffs unlike a lot of other solo projects and bands out there trying to make a name for themselves.

"Everything we are and used to be, is buried and gone."
Lyrics from Overcome - Creed, no?
All I'm thinking of is the insanely awesome potential of the song with tremonti in it..ah well.still..such a good tune
Check out his new album higher power!

@horsee45 Thanks dude!

NOOO THIS VERSION IS BETTER THAN ART OF ANARCHY WHY ARENT YOU ON SPOTIFY POOKIE 😭😭😭
this pretty much sounds like a demo version of 'Overcome' which is on Creeds album 'Full Circle' .. a lot of similar lyrics.
Really? I thought he was in ridgefield CT that day. That's what his myspace says.
@alloutrockfan Sorry. just kinda assumed. That's what the comment looked like. But I would rather you just don't compare the two. Because Myles has so much passion for the type of music he does. And same about Scott. They are two completely different artists. Both equally incredible at what they do.
Anybody knows where i can download this and Criminal? Links on Scott's old website are dead...
anyone know where I can find the lyrics to this??
I'm stoked for the new album. But I'm still kinda pissed that on august 8th 2008 I was running to every music store I knew, looking for a the album he promised would be released that day. His myspace page counted down the days until that day came, and the cd didn't come out. Everyone at F.Y.E. and best buy, thought I was crazy. But I'll forgive him someday. haha.
@IanKeepsScreamin I know that haha which Creed song though?
This version is better than the Art of Arnarchy version.
does any one no when this album comes out?
Loving this song. Apparently this IS going to be on the album but with a special guest in it.
You can check out Scott's new album preview he did here /watch?v=o-xR5RnS2bQ
looks like Art of Anarchy will redo this :)))
I hope so!
T Solo they did. and I actually just listened to it. it's awesome!
T Solo just heard the whole new A of A album. seems like I like the vocals better on this version. 6 years apart tho.... just my opinion.
Damn can you buy this on Itunes?
@alloutrockfan Don't get me wrong, I am a huge Scott Stapp fan, but Myles can write music amazingly too. Don't underrate him just because you don't like him.
I’m sun burnt!
@superfry21 Come on, thats hard to believe. Just saw him in NJ at his solo concert. He looks fine
foda pra caralho
@92796Apollo i thought the same exact thing.
Anyone know how to get this song and Criminal as a download? The links I found are no longer active.
@SpiritualComatose He was the singer of Creed...? ahaha
@barbEtube where'she playing?
Scott is much more adept for rock than Myles is.
you knew who the singer was yet you clicked.
Is it just me, or does this song seem very similar to Overcome?
This chorus is better then the one that's on the album
Check out his new album higher power!
Better version than Art of Anarchy
