I just got me another sledge. I got the new sledge V2 now. I got the orange one with new upgrade to match it with harden steal gears. And it’s my 3rd one. Just got it last week
That's awesome, congrats on picking up the new Sledge V2! The orange version looks really sharp, and with the hardened steel gears, you're definitely set for some serious durability and performance. It’s great to hear it’s your third one-sounds like you're really enjoying the Sledge platform. The upgrades on the V2 are definitely designed to handle even more intense bashing, so you’re in for a blast with that setup! Looking forward to seeing how it performs with those new mods!
Thanks so much buddy , Means alot that your watching ! Got to love this truck , So much potential . Hope your well and looking forward to a bash soon . Stay awesome Chris :)
I tell you what mate , I’m looking forward to getting my xmaxx down there, it will eat up that ground. lol. Was good to see it up close / down low at the end there.
I can’t wait to have you down buddy it’s perfect xmaxx territory, Can’t wait to have a few of them ripping around , Hope you’re good bud ! Stay awesome Craig , Chris 🤙😎👊🚀🛞🚀🚀🚀
Ah buddy , you really need to try one before you pass judgement on them , there bloody awesome trucks . Yeah the colour scheme is lush isnt it Stay awesome Tony Chris :)
@ChriswithaCrc need do the haobo done first dude need save a wee bit to kick it off bud and need a mot rock with new shocks and pot the 3s motor in gone keep the 4s ecu and down gear down to 15 bud and method rc have sent me new hubs haha cos a broke the other ones one lipo in mind lol
Hey buddy , it most definitely is a killer thats for sure , But there is something about running it flat out here that gives me the fizz and the fixx i need some times. Yep down low makes you realise how rough ground bashing is from time to time , flat out over this stuff and then all hell breaks loose ! Stay awesome Chris :)
Great video, this place looks like the one where i shot my last video that i uploaded to my channel. In my corally shogun team i applied polycarbonate sheets all over the chassis to protect it👍
Hey buddy Thanks so much for the watch and comment , Yeah i love running in places like this but man there abrasive , they really kick the shit out of the truck . Poly bottom sounds like a awesome idea to be honest with you . I have some here so might give this a go . Stay awesome buddy , Ill give your video a watch Chris :)
As someone who broke your rc car there 🤣🤣 it is very rough there one person shredded a tire in 2 on the same brick I wrecked his car on. I do believe someone suggested moving the shock screws in one hole on the arms 🤐🤐 good to the Sledge out and about again good video my friend
Ah, the infamous brick strikes again! Maybe we should start a support group for cars that have faced its wrath. Yeah im going to do some work on the shocks and positioning in the next few days Hope your well my buddy Chris :)
Hey buddy , Thanks for watching and the kind comment . OK so i normally brush and use compressed air first Then jet wash , followed by compressed air to remove all the water , making sure i removed any contaminants and water around the bearings . a quick blast with a hair dryer and then smother in GT85 and let sink in and then another blast with the hairdryer to dry off excess GT85 . This might seem a bit much , but it works awesome for me and keeps everything working great . All the truck looks spot on after . Hope this helps Chris :)
See this is what ive been told by a good source but having said that ive also told there not so good . How long have you been using them ? Stay awesome Chris :)
@ had no issues with mine, for the price can’t go wrong. I’ve got a prototype 6S from another channel and it’s been great in the kagama. Had since April time
Looks like a fantastic car, although that’s a lot of upgrades for an already expensive RC. What sort of runtime did you get before LVC kicked in? Not sure if it was recorded in one take.
Thanks, glad you like it! 😊 Yeah, it’s definitely a pricey setup, but these upgrades make a huge difference in durability and performance-it feels almost bulletproof now! For the runtime, I got about 15-20 minutes before the low-voltage cutoff kicked in with that 6S battery bearing in mind its a brand new battery so break in time is most definitely a thing , i always say 5/6 packs before true runtime is expected . I did record it in segments, but that’s roughly what I’d expect with the current setup.also the traxxas ESC will go to LVC after 3.6 volts unfortunately , Hence why im thinking of changing it out . Let me know if you have any other questions! Stay awesome Chris :)

Hey buddy , Yes it is the stock servo and stock steering assembly , its working fine for me right now so will change it up when i get the chance to invest some money back in . First on the list is a new ESC i think and go from there . Stay Awesome Chris :)
Those lipo's are rubbish, theres a reason there dirt cheap. The ir is terribleI, I have 6 of those batteries in 2s, 3s & 4s. Out the box the ir was around 10Mohm - 13Mohm per cell across all 6 batteries. After 5 break in charges / discharges on my I-charger, the ir across all 6 batteries was still around 9Mohm - 12Mohm per cell. Worst was to come, I ran one of the 3s 6000mah batteries for 2 short runs in a pretty low amp draw truck. Battery then on one of the cells would not charge past 3.86v, the other 2 cells charged fully to 4.2v. Even tried giving the battery a jolt, by putting it on a nmhi charge for a minite or two. Then lipo balance charge all to no effect, would still not charge past 3.86v on one cell, that was a brand new lipo gone in the bin. Iv'e seen a few others also have issues with these batteries. Not long ago a very experienced lipo tester guru done a c rating test on these so called 100c- 200c batteries, from memory they came out at around a true 13c. We all know all of the lipo brands on the market are no where near there claimed c rating, its just a labell stuck on the batteries. They all try to out do one another to sell batteries & put false claims on the batteries. In reality the very best performing lipo's will only produce around up to a true 40c.
Thanks for the heads up , Ill give them a try first and if no good then it will go . But for the price it seemed decent and also had someone tell me thats used them for years that they were ok . Ill keep a stern eye on it and report back buddy Stay awesome Chris :)
@@ChriswithaCrc These Rapides have only been out for about 7 months, there is another Rapid that HK sell. Completely different battery that is made by CNHL, more expensive batteries that are 140c.
