How do I use this tool, when collaborating with folks NOT using this tool? (like on Windows machines? - HOW COOL would it be if windows, or some other app, made it possible to take freeform's output and make it accessible on android or windows? :-0 2. WHERE can I use it? There aren't a lot of ways (yet) to collaborate with Non-Apple Users (but I wouldn't be surprised if they add Freeform to iCloud.com in the future), but if you sit tight I will be releasing part 2 to this video in the next few days with specific examples about how to collaborate and export your boards, and 6 examples of real-world uses for the app... so STAY TUNED!!!!

It's nice 🌟 to be in the Apple 🍏 ecosystem, and I wish ✨ EVERYONE was there too, but there are some things 🚧 that can't be done cross-platform 🔄... I'm just glad 😃 WE are in the system 🌐 together. You'll just have to use lesser 📉 (and sometimes more expensive 💸) mind mapping 🧠/white board tools 🛠 for those poor 😔 unfortunate souls on the outside... or convince them 🤝 to join us in the garden 🌳🤷♂.
Apple released Freeform with iOS 16. As long as you have that operating system it should automatically show up on your device or you can download it from the app store... if you can't find it, it is likely because of your OS. Upgrade if you can, and if not you will have to wait until your next iPhone.... sorry!
Can you link one board to another? I was thinking king of setting up a home, or index, board and linking subsequent boards for different projects to it.
It depends on how quickly you catch it. If it's quick enough, you can usually hit undo. If you wait too long, it autosaves..., but if you have it synched to iCloud, there are some automatic backups made...
Excellent video and excellent presentation, but I'm not sure when I might have use for this. I make Pages docs like this... you can put a website, image, shape, chart, etc on Pages. I teach online so Pages docs work well because I can file them on external hard drives and keep organized. What sort of doc is this Freeform? How do I download it and save it and can I use it on my laptop which is not Ventura (because it is old and won't update to Ventura)?
I have so many boards - is there a way to manually organize them? I do see groups but that only groups them by dates. I’d actually like to create my own folders or groups
Apple has not yet added folders. I expect they will soon. Until then there's not a lot we can do for organization 🤷♂️. I hoped it would happen with iOS 17 and MacOS14, but unfortunately they haven't added it yet.
For the past few months, I’ve seen the Freeform symbol - opened Freeform - looked at a boring Whiteboard - closed Freeform - meh 🫤 was my reaction - and then went along with Life Looking at this Presentation has given me greater insight to other opportunities - I will have to try to Integrate Freeform into my general workflow I just need to think about Organizational Folders or Groupings of the Freeform? - - do we call them - - - Projects? - - - Objects? - - - Documents or what? Should be an interesting journey TTFN

It’s not on the App Store.

Not yet... but I wish you could. It's also not a part of the new MacOS 15 update coming in September (I checked). Hopefully in a future update....
