Need to make an HA filter so we can see prominences

Kinda disappointed. I bought a replacement solar filter for my C5 after October annular eclipse showed the old one had pinpoint holes. It didn't fit. I emailed customer service about this filter (the box clearly states it fits ALL C5 telescopes), only to be told the filter only fits C5s produced after 2007, although that statement appears NO WHERE in the product description.
