It would be helpful if you bookmarked it, so people don't need to listen to all the unnecessary 4 minutes at the beginning. That said, for anyone who's interested, the important part begins at 4:16
I don't believe in Satan but if there was one he would be a barrel connector! I wish people would just use usb c! I'll even take micro usb over shitty overly specific barrel connectors! I would love to throw these adapters all in a fuckin bon fire!
Why not cut off the original end and reuse it with a new 3 amp 12 volt transformer I mean check the what is make sure it's a Transformer not the connector you had issue with but that would be the easiest method I think
Two reasons... first, it's easier to buy the right supply, if I could find it, than to buy a different one and splice the connector on. Second, it's just a nicer result than something spliced together. It turned out I that with a little searching on Digit-Key, I was able to find a supply with the right connector as an off-the-shelf part, and trust me that a little bit of web searching was way easier than digging the box with my soldering iron, heat shrink, etc.out of storage in the garage, since I had recently moved.

I think that is the same charger I got from my cheap Chinese laptop 😂

You also have to know if the plug is wired negitive original positive center. Not all devices sre wired the same. Not a big deal. Its a 50 50 chance
The transformer should have a schematic indicating a pos or neg center.
you could have checked continuity on the oem plug
How big is the yellow one? Is there a type of lock inside of it?
I am having a problem with my laptop charging port, and charging jack.
I have a broken laptop, I should meet up with your daughter and tell her my sob story.
