The way I see it, 'dark side' betting is a weapon/tool in your arsenal, the more types of bets you know, the better versatility your play has. Thank You for submitting it. At that point I please maximum table odds. 5/9 min. odds,6/8 no odds. 6/8 place hard way bets to lower house edge.When winning, place lay bets on 4/10 after 6/8 rolls. OR... • @ColorUp

      Horn bet is made up of 2,3,11,12 (four numbers) so you should make this bet in $4 increments. Many players throw in $5, what do you do with the extra $1? you add it to one of the four numbers. So "horn high Yo" is $1 on each of the horn numbers and $2 or "high" on the yo

  • @pewing99
    @pewing99 Год назад +2

    If you are playing the 6 & 8 at $18 I would probably be doing a $25 don't with $30 Odds. You really need the seven to be valuable on a hybrid system because of those short rolls.

    • @clueless9245
      @clueless9245 Год назад +1

      Exactly!
      Otherwise, you are losing a few dollars. That is fine, but why spend $32 to protect $15?
      What do you do when you lose that $32? Place 6 & 8 along with odds for 7 roll?
      So now even more money is out there and you already begin -$32.
      If you roll 7, then you get $30 for do not pass with $30 odds on 10. However, you lose $36 on 6 & 8.
      So you are -$38 total should this occur.
      You need 2 hits on either 6 or 8 to make a small profit.
      Now if the rolls go as should, then it is over $100, but $81 is out on the table.
      Damn $15 table!!!

    • @Listener827
      @Listener827 Год назад

      @@clueless9245 Ask yourself Why, on the Lay 4 or 10, they’re paying so little?🤔🤔
      Because when you play the DP or DC or Lay bets, you’re betting The Same as the casino… you’re betting a 7’s gonna hit before much money is made on the light side… and by point + 6 you’re right 63% of the time.
      On DC and DP you make 1:1, But you took the risk against the 7 & 11 to get your bet “working” and not “lost” to the 7 or 11. The 11 is a 1:18 risk and Not worth a hedge. Taking that very rare loss is more cost effective. Plus since DP makes $150 on Every 2 or 3 on come out, you make $ overall, and do Not lose.
      With the 4 shooters by Jeremy, there were # 2 come out 3’s- $300 win!
      Casino Knows smart player will use Lay 4 or 10 once they follow the probability and math of the game, and getting paid 50 cents on the dollar is a disincentive. It’s still worth it.
      Many people take the bait and don’t use Lay 4 or 10, despite knowing it’s gonna reduce their 100% loss by 50%!
      And with using the Lay 4 or 10 only on the come out, your chance for a 4 or 10 to hit (1:12) is exactly 1/2 that of the 7 (1:6), and your “exposure” time for that hit is a single roll. Smart.😎
      Can you play “naked” on the DP… sure, if you’re willing to lose 1 in 6 times what you bet.
      Say I have a DP for $150. To have an “equal” or “neutral” Lay bet to cover the $150, I need a $300 Lay. That large an amount, I’d split it between the 4 & 10, so there’s a 1:12 risk for each $150 Lay to get hit.
      That said, this is “betting” and when I bet I want to do more than “break even”, and by not being greedy, it works out better… so I Lay 4 & 10 for $180 each… so When Red Hits i win $30. EVERY time $30!
      In a “typical hour”, there’s gonna be about 12 shooters. Of those 12, 8 are gonna 7-out before point +6 (P6), so on just those 8 I make $150 x 8=$1200.
      Now, while I’ll win on all 8 by P6, following the math 1:3 will hit the point before P6, so that’s 2-3 where I first lose the DP, then replace it, and am neutral- the loss is canceled by the win, so now I made a “Net” of 5-6 x $150 = $750-$900. Still beats working.
      That leaves us 4 shooters. While 2 of those will go past P6, most are out by P12, and these 2 Never hit the point- so now we’re up by another $300 from the DP $150.
      Final 2, one is gonna hit the point, but likely be out before P18… so that’s a neutral when I replace the loss.
      The last shooter will likely go into low to mid 20’s, and hit 1 or 2 or 3 points, and depending on how soon the points hit, is if this one is neutral or a $150 loss. Will figure it a “loss” on the DP… but there’s more to this later.
      So, that’s 2 wins, a neutral, and a loss, for a net win of $150… added to other winnings, that’s $150+ $$750-$900, or $900-$1050… All from the DP.
      But that’s JUST the DP. If I put on DP odds of $200, or Lay 4 for $200, then I make Another $100 x 6-7=$600-700, added to the $900-$1050, Now we got $1500-$1750! Just on DP/odds/Lay bet.
      As I said, later there’s more: start my light side play after P6 and 2/3 of short shooters 7-out!
      EVERYONE playing Light Side wants that “long roll”… the math of the game TELLS you 63% short rollers 7- Out by P6, so only go Light side after P6😎
      My light side, like dark side has layers, and as shooter goes up to P12, between P6 and P12 I got $480 on the table And converted 100% to Casino Dollars (CD).
      So, no chance for loss from P12 forward, and multiple layers of profit the longer the roll. I’m a Craps player, Not a Dark side or Light side player.
      Typical hour, light side play equal to double to triple dark side play. These are all tools 🧰 in the tool chest. Maybe now you can see why some of us who took advanced math and statistics, apply the math to the game and shake our heads at so many light side only players who are dying to put a Line bet and place bets down before P7.😂
      When you Know the math of the game, few are gonna risk a 63% chance of losing EVERYTHING light side bet before P6.
      Enjoy the game! Apply the math. Learn dice control and you Can replicate long roll after long roll. You’ll need your own table. My longest roll was just under 1 hour 40 minutes! For me to have a 30 minute roll usually hits every 2-4 hours. So, yeah the math of the game works and dice control works. Now go have some fun!😳😎

    • @ColorUp

      Sure, some people love to hedge

    • @Listener827
      @Listener827 Год назад

      Agree with not hedging the YO. With a 1:18 probability, it’s a drain on the pocket compared with the probability of a payout. Beyond that, disagree on Laying the 10… realize the 2 things you’re criticizing:
      1. Saying it’s Smart to risk $15, on a 1:6 probability of a 7, And while bringing that risk Down 50% to a 1:12 risk by Laying the 10 for $30, you think it’s Smarter to make bets that have Double the risk for a loss, rather than 1/2 the risk… you sure those numbers work?
      Or would you rather have Double the risk for a loss… or you’re going negative because you don’t really use Lay bets and choose to avoid them…because you have not used them hundreds of times?
      2. Although Jeremy demonstrates these strategies at low dollar limits-$15 in this case… some of us use the bigger chips… that means when others do a DP for $150, they’re either gonna do a Lay for…say $150 on both 4 & 10, or $300 on the 10. It’s not peanuts 🥜 anymore, and not losing $150 gets 10x more important!😳
      So… with it 10 x more $$ on the table… now perhaps you see Why it’s smart to lower your loss risk by 50%.😎
      Craps is a Lot of fun. That said it’s a statistical Math game you’re talking about playing. Only way I could understand a player wanting to Double his risk for a loss is only when folks are having a problem following the math…

      Good point here is Jeremy’s showing them options.
      Can go “naked” and about 2-3 come out Reds per hour at “typical” table…. Unless you get one of those come out “strings” of 7 and 11 and horns.
      Those are Great to Hop… Only go after 2nd in a row. Most I had was a string of 8! Make some good money when those hit.😳👍👍
      Got a nice set the gets me quite a few sevens. Gotta be in the groove and it works great!😎
      When I see the 4 and 10’s hitting, Like to do a DP for $150 and split $180 each Lay 4 & 10. Since started counting 4 & 10’s versus 7’s it made things easier and more profitable.

    This small loss was Way less than the kick in the pants he’d have gotten without the Lay 10 and the DP.
    Perhaps you could do a reshoot of this strategy and make a small “tweek” whereby whenever point is 6 or 8 on come-out roll, Leave the Lay 10 in place because it has a 40% lower chance of getting a “Hit” as happened versus when 6 or 8 was the point (DP odds).
    Redid player data, and player would have been $150 ahead by taking advantage of this 40% greater probability of winning.👍👍😎

      @@jackmachado7679 Any Lay and Every Lay pays when Big Red hits.
      While you can Lay any place number, the probability of 5-9 hitting is much greater than the 4 or 10 hitting.
      Whole strategy is 2 fold:
      1. By Laying 4 or 10, you reduce the chance on the come-out against the DP from 1:6 (Red) to 1:12 for 4 or 10… that’s a 50% reduced chance for a loss!
      Or, put differently, you’re 2x as likely to have a come-out 7 as you are a 4 or 10. So, instead of a loss when Big Red hits… you’re “fine”
      But there’s more to this. Say you have a DP for $100, and a Lay 10 for $200. 7 hits and you lose Nothing.. but it gets better!
      Say you have $100 DP, and remember, DP wins 2 of 3 times, but loses without a Lay to protect it on come-out 7’s, AND makes a Profit if the Lay 4 or 10 is Larger- say $250 to cover the $100 DP… so when Red hits… you’re Happy!🎊
      You just made$125 (what $250 Lay 10 pays) minus $100 DP lost, and you now net $25 Every time you got a come out 7!🎊
      2. Second Great part of using Lay 4 or 10 when you play the DP… which wins 2/3 times!
      As you saw, player who submitted strategy does the 4 or 10 Lay on the come out “only”. Then player takes “odds” on the DP, which like the Lay, each pay 50 cents on the dollar.
      (If you’re bothered by “only” 50% return on your bet, remember: you can Not remove a Pass Line bet or Pass line odds, same thing with Come bet or Come bet odds.)
      DP, or DP Odds, Or Lay bet Can be taken down Whenever you want! Why’s that? Because you’re betting With the house… that usually wins!
      Follow the math: the 6 & 8 roll 5 ways each, the 7 has 6 ways. The 4 or 10 just 3 ways each.. basically 1/2 the 6,7,8… that means following the math, Much less likely- 40% less likely to roll a 4 or 10 than a 6 or 8…. So…
      Smart move when playing DP is when Point is on 6 or 8, do Not take DP odds. Instead leave $$ on 4 or 10.
      Had this been done in this strategy, PSO 1st shooter paid the same.
      Second shooter when point was “hit”, the DP would lose $15, BUT the $30 left on the 10 would Not have been lost and our player would have made and extra $15 And kept the original $30 Lay 10!
      Third shooter, while he “hit the point” twice, a Lay 4 would not only have Not lost, it would have paid $15 when he shot a “7” between his 2nd point made and 3rd point established, And would have paid a second time when he 7’d out, if he’s stayed with the Lay 10.
      4th shooter the same: although our player lost the DP when the Point was hit, the 4 was unaffected and Won when he 7’d Out.
      In summary, instead of taking odds on DP, when Point first is 6 or 8, our player keeping the $30 on the 10, and Not doing DP odds would have:
      1st would Not have lost $120 in DP odds, and
      2nd would have Made profit of $45 More by keeping the Lay 4, for a Net total in the rack of $165!
      That’s $165 on a $300 bankroll🎊
      Craps can be Lots of fun when you win. As you see, just a small “tweek” and the player made $165 more than his original strategy… and $165 is >>50% of $300 in his bankroll.
      These “little things” like looking at the probability of a 6 or 8 DPOdds hitting versus a 4 or 10 Lay hitting is a Massive difference.
      Smart money, is when playing DP, and Point is 6 or 8 the math says you’re gonna Win much more and more often doing a Lay 4 or 10 then putting odds on the DP when the point is 6 or 8.
      About 40% better odds!
      Have fun by following the math!👍👍😎😎

      yes, you can make a lay bet against any of the box numbers. The 4 and 10 have the least combinations to roll.

    Think this is more casino raking money.
    You put $15 do not pass, but then protect it with $32 (11 & lay bet)?
    That math is insane. Twice you rolled craps numbers and won $15, but kept the $32 betting.
    Simple put your $15 on the line.
    Establish a point, lay odds and place bets accordingly.
    I never understand these strategies dancing around until point is established.

      @@ColorUp Agree with Jeremy. The DP Was a winner on first shooter, it was light side that lost $36.
      2nd shooter, DP “lost” on 1st point hit, but won back what was lost on what was second shooter’s PSO after first point, so you have a “neutral” on the DP.
      But Exactly as with first shooter, second shooter, on second come out had a PSO, and had a Light side loss of another $36… so $72 lost in 2 shooters… the DP paid against the light side loss.
      3rd shooter is choppy, a small pure “light side” strategy would also Not have won here. There’s only P+8, and only 4 rolls that could have paid with 4-9 placed, which is gonna be a loser strategy. Choppy is only gonna win light side with a 1 or 2 hits and down strategy.😎
      Choppy again on 4th shooter, and while he tossed for P+14, only 8 of them would pay with 5-9 placed…. Again… Hit & Run strategy only light side that’d win.
      Dark side play kept more $$ in the tray. Keep an open mind guys, but since 2 of Every 3 shooters 7-Out by Point +6 (P6), it’s nothing but Hilarious to watch day after day as Light Side only players RUSH to put $$ on the table, only to see PSO and PPSO, and 63% of the time a 7-Out by P6.
      Our player got #1 win DP, Neutral on shooters 2 & 4, and a loss on shooter 3. Large part of dark side is to shield losses… strategy did just that.
      Had this rolled out for a full hour, 8 of 12 would be 7-out by P6. Of those 8, 2-3 would have made the point and gone neutral, leaving us with net win on #5-6 shooters, at $30/ win that’s $150-$180 on a bankroll of $300- excellent return.
      As to the remaining 4 shooters, most likely to be 2 who fail to hit the point -EVER, as point only hit 40% of time. That’s another $60 profit.
      Final 2 shooters, 1 likely to go over 20, other under 20. Bet DP lost on both and came back for neutral on 2, and second lost twice most likely. So we subtract final 2 from prior 2 winners, and we’re back at $150-$180 profit in a “typical hour” at a random craps table.
      Remember what Darth Vader said… “There’s Power in the Dark Side!”

    Not much of a Dark player,,,but this has some legs if it is a cold table. Thanks Jeremy

  • @NakedSpaceMan
    @NakedSpaceMan Год назад +1

    The massive flaw in this strategy is that come out roll. Simulated gave it basically a 50% chance of losing the lay, especially when the table is hot. In fact this strategy is HORRIBLE on a hot table. You end up losing more from the don't pass than you'd gain from the place bets. At that point you're far better off switching to a 3 point molly or a 3-2-1 strategy

    • @ColorUp
      @ColorUp  Год назад +2

      Well, there are 36 dice combos and the Ten has 3, so there is a 8% chance to lose the lay, not 50%. As far as losing on a "hot table" yes, any time you play the don't, you don't want to roll points. If only we knew when a table turned hot or cold.

    • @Listener827
      @Listener827 Год назад +1

      @@ColorUp Agree 100% Jeremy! This table was anything but “Hot”. First random shooter was a PSO… and $36 was lost.
      Other than Point/ point made on 2nd random shooter, it was, on the 2nd come out, for 2nd shooter Also a PSO and another $36 loss. Cold 🥶 table to that point.
      Third shooter hit 2 quick points, but a disappointing out by P + 8 from the start. Choppy at best.
      Forth shooter got a single point and got P+14, after Point, he only tossed 8 that could pay as place bets… choppy.
      Now… if our player was smart and knew how to spot possible trends, he’d see the point of 8 followed by a 6. Had our player hopped the sister numbers 6,8 for $65 each, he’d have made $375x2=$750, minus “costs” during (210) and final “Miss” when string ended (130), or $750-340=$410 profit.
      Table went from cold to choppy. Hot’s 20 or more, preferably 25 plus, and Not just one shooter in the past hour.
