Thank You, I have had my Bernina 6 years but rarely used for Embroidery, your info is invaluable. First really good info I have come across. I hope I can find more from you :)
Thank you, Jeff! For carefully explaining how to fix my Bernina 780 which kept stopping spontaneously. What you taught me has saved me a lot of time and money! You are very kind to be sharing your wide range of knowledge regarding the Bernina sewing machine! I can't thank you enough.
Thank you so much for these embroidery videos for Bernina machines. I have a 790 (no Plus) and I have needed this information since I bought my Bernina. I moved before I could take classes in the Denver area. Wish I lived closer to your store but I think these videos will help me understand the basics.
Wow, I've had my 790 upgraded to the plus for years, and some of this info you gave I didn't know. Thanks again for another great video with lots of info....
I have learned thingsI never heard from Bernina shops. I have had Bernina’s for 20+ years. I have ordered a 790 plus n waiting for dealer to call in Maine. Wish u we’re closer
Thank you so much for all your videos. I have a 475QE and recently purchased a 790 Plus. This video is wonderful. I learn so much from you. By the way, for those larger hand sewers who have difficulty maneuvering in small areas, that new gadget to help remove the stitch plate is great.
These tips have been so helpful! I have been just winging it since I bought my machine last summer. Love the video with machine tips and tricks also! Thank you!
Hi Jeff, wonderful, informative video. Can you please do a video on actually doing an embroidery? I have the 570qe and I am coming from a brother embroidery machine. I wonder if you can tell what area is stitching next, on the screen, and if my thread breaks....how do I ‘bump’ back a few stitches to overlap a bit before the break? I have searched my manual and can’t find it. Thank you so much and keep the videos coming. 😊
How do you know the tensions? For example you automatically knew the tension needed for metallic thread. Is there a chart for this info? I have a Bernina 770QE
The appreciation I an receiving makes me want to keep doing more videos, I wish there was a way I could ship outside the US that was not so expensive and so much regulation.
Help! I always find your videos so helpful. However as we struggled to get the small screw back in it dropped into the machine! I'm so upset. Is there any way to open up the machine to look for it? Or is this off to the dealer? I have a 790 Plus
Love your informative video's! Would like a link to get conversion from metric to inches on the hoops sizes! Any chance you have one or is it on your website where I could download it? Thanks!
Thank you so much for the video. I called and spoke with Trista the other day to order some stuff, she mentioned that you were going to try and do some embroidery videos, we need them !!!!. I am still confused about the pulling of the thread when i begin the design or a color, should I hold the thread or what? If I let it go down the machine, it makes a mess. I do use FInishing Touch from my previous machines, so that works like a gem in the Bernina. Could you do a segment on trying to save designs to the machine from the USB stick, I get so confused, it for some reason will not work for me.
Some will hold on to the upper thread when it starts, I do not unless I am doing a quilt an want it to look good on the back side. If you pull too tight the bobbin thread will come up for a stitch or two and then it looks bad on top. So hold with a little slack and set your machine to stop after a few stitches so you can trim that top thread tail. A video on saving from the machine to a USB is a great idea thanks.
Please show how to unjam the needle threader. First time to use it n touched the threader when it was moving n it is jammed. Had to get out kids machine to sew. Lol
Bernina Jeff, Thank you for your information. I own a Bernina B780. Where is the function for jump thread cut, with feature where I may change the length at which this auto feature will cut. Do you know if the B780 have this feature? Thank you, Jasmine
My new 790 plus seems to really not like Floriani. Every time I use it, the tension goes out of whack and it breaks both the threat and the needle. I tried to use the threat sleeve and although the tension looks fine, the same problem still happens. Isacord works perfect. Has anyone experienced this before?
Jeff, my 770QE upgrade embroidery unit will not move. Screen keeps telling me to attach hoop. Have only used the unit 3 to 4 times and I’m totally at a loss what to do. Any suggestions would be helpful. Tks.
Hi Jeff, I have just purchased the Bernina carry bag for my embriodery module. Is there a right or wrong way to store the module. ie do I have to lay the bag flat?? Thanks in advance.
Yes lay the bag flat all unzipped and find a way it fits and add padding around the sides and use the straps to secure it I really don't have any special way it goes in.
Plus @@berninajeff Thank you for your speedy reply to my query. I love your videos and as I haven't had my machine very long often refer to you for help, it's brilliant for a quick fix.
Tula Pink owners, to calibrate the embroidery hoop is just the same as all models, go into the Settings or gear icon select the Hoop icon and from that menu select the Hoop icon again and follow the prompts. If your needle is not ALL the way up the arrows will not work so make sure the needle position is up.
@@berninajeff Thank you Jeff. I love your videos, you have been extremely helpful to me. I bought my machine just as Covid happened and I didn't get the lessons I was supposed to get with purchase. I feel so lucky to have found your videos.
Oil all moving metal on metal parts top to bottom. Remove the top plate usually two screws tilt the machine back and do bottom side use quality machine oil
The embroidery units or modules cost about $2000 new or $1000 used. Any 8 or 7 series will fit. Get as many hoops as possible some of the really large ones cost $400
Your videos contain such good info! However, use of a tripod would certainly help the presentation, as all the movement kind of makes it difficult to concentrate on what you're pointing out.
Either you experiment yourself with upper tension levels with different threads like my video shows or ask your dealer or search the web. I do not have a chart I just know from experience. School of hard knocks.
Thank you! I have had my 790 for 5 years and learned some new settings today.

Im looking for a good use Bernina
Can you use Embrilliance essential with the 700?
Sorry I’m not familiar with that design group or accessory.
I have a Tula Pink 770 QE. I can't find those little arrows to align the hole on the grid.
Yeah...I figured it out.

Do you have any videos for the artists 730?
Sorry I do not have any plans on making those
When I add anything into my program it centers it, how do I stop this?
Do I need a different bobbin case for embroidery on my 770 QE?
I do suggest the yellow bobbin case but it is not required also you do need the straight stitch needle plate for best results

At 12:32 on the video....I'm confused as to whether I should have that on or off....you mentioned the default is off.
I like the OFF setting on the trim tail feature
