      I hope to be up there with you both in time. Dan has been a huge inspiration for me over the past few years and I'm currently getting to a point where I've consistently got simultaneous projects running at once and it feels great.
      Also, your work looks fantastic Declassified. You've earned a new sub. =)

      Thanks man but you know back then this channel is my only inspiration and the reason i got started on custom watercooling and modding. The level of Cleanliness, craftsmanship and attention to detail to every build is Unmatched. Thank you Daniel for your videos you are awesome man. Cheers!

      Now this is a perfect example of what I love the most about this community. So many people cannot stand another persons success or creations because it makes them feel insecure, hence trolls. In the inner circle enthusiast community we all have each others backs, we are all working towards a common goal which is to inspire. We are only focused on creating and our only priority is tech. I love to see what Linus and Jay have done and many others, their success is a great inspiration. The most rewarding part for me is to know that I am inspiring others! Thank you for your hard work Declassified!

    There was something very mesmerizing about watching 2.5 minutes of spray at the start, on top of that music - i probably could have watched that, with the soothing spraying sound, for another 30 minutes :D

    By popular request, how to do custom paint properly with a spray gun.

      SingularityComputers Will I guess end of the day is about skills that need to be slowly polished and the passion to allocate so much time on this type of things. I'm not anytime going to invest or do this type of custom painting but I believe this video give confidence in others who are thinking on doing so. I still had so much fun watching this kind of video.

    Your attitude towards gun selection is excellent, and is too often an attitude people need to adopt when picking components.
    I've seen too many people get a 7700k, 1080ti, 32gbs of RAM and then not put their PC on a good, high quality surge guard because they're expensive and lose the lot in a thunderstorm. Spending a bit of extra money (~$100 on a good surge guard/UPS) so that you don't ruin something worth a lot more (~$3000 PC) is worth it.
    To me; that made sense. Working on high end, expensive cases? Last thing you want to do is be constantly dunking it in paint stripper because your gun isn't putting out a high quality paint job to match. It's worth the extra money.

    You have a dream job. I can most certainly imagine it being pretty hard financial and time-wise, but what you create is well worth it. =)

    We use a dehumidifier between the compressor and guns/machinery (cnc lathes) so there won't be any damage to the electronics. You can get a decent one for 100-200$

    Now this is why I work with mini itx cases. Don't need a paint gun. Air brush works just fine for any level of coating. You can easily make a small paint booth as well. Won't need half a room.

    I want to paint a Corsair 1000D white, but that thing has soo many rivets in it and complicated parts that I'm afraid to paint it. I thought I could just use Spray cans but don't want to spend 500 on a case that will just turn ugly! Should I paint it?

  • @johnnada1917

    Great video!!! Do i need to sand up and prime a case which is already painted, or can i just buff it with a scotch brite and spray it without any worries? I have an old OEM (hp 6300 MT black with some scratches) and want to get rid of the scratches. Don't want to spend huge amounts of cash on it, because i want to flip it when i'm done upgrading the system. So just a simple black finish will be good enough actually...
    Do you have any tips?

    Whent it comes to Primer (at least primer) can't you just use rattle can high build primer and spray Full basecoat (non acrylic) on top of it?

    • @darrellguthmiller3472
      @darrellguthmiller3472 6 лет назад

      yes just scuff the acrylic before hand then clean, let dry, so that way the primer sticks better and if you want it more smooth let primer dry then wet sand let dry again then put your color on

    you mount your SMC oil separator upside down. The arrow on top should be in the direction of the air. In this position the filter is not working properly.

    I've always wondered how Silverstone cases get that Black on there black cases in particular like the FT02 and FT03, any ideas? I've been trying too match it for years, its kind of matt but not matt and not quite satin somewhere in between. Any help here would be truly appreciated.

    • @darrellguthmiller3472
      @darrellguthmiller3472 6 лет назад

      its a additive you add to a black base coat to give it that black.

    hey mate at 15:51 of the video you show a front panel of the phanteks enthoo evolve...did you mod that panel as it's usually a solid piece with no central cutout...i was thinking of cutting out the front of mine for better airflow and also to add some nice RGB front fans
    also great tutorial...very interesting

    • @SingularityComputers
      @SingularityComputers  7 лет назад

      Yep I modified it, I do quite a lot of those.

    • @larslovestech
      @larslovestech 7 лет назад

      thanks for your reply...any chance you could do a vid on modding the front of your PC case to get better airflow...as i am sure that this must help a lot with this issue with that particular case...but also this must help most cases in general

    If I have metal side panels, do I need to sand them down prior to spraying? (I'm using spray paint)

    • @SingularityComputers
      @SingularityComputers  5 лет назад +1

      Not necessarily but the initial surface needs to be smooth, mainly if you are planning a gloss finish. You can prime twice and sand the first time instead.

    doesn't painting the radiators affect the cooling efficiency??

    • @spannertechXXI
      @spannertechXXI 7 лет назад

      Yes but only if the paint is thick, clumped up, and restricts airflow in the fins. Painting with an airbrush makes it so that the paint is applied thinly and evenly so it's hard to achieve that. Daniel also masks the fins off of the radiator before painting.

    Hi,
    I just wanted to ask,
    What paint color / type did you use in the type writer build ? :))

    • @SingularityComputers
      @SingularityComputers  7 лет назад +1

      Chrome with an orange candy over it. Its a very difficult and expensive process.

    how does the paint not clog the fins on the radiators

    • @carlsson614
      @carlsson614 7 лет назад

      Generally rads are painted in factory
      But you can paint over fins and it will not even slightly make the temp go up =]

    • @davidgl7677
      @davidgl7677 7 лет назад

      Carlsson I understand that but when you spray over them how does the paint not build up and clog the fins

    • @davidgl7677
      @davidgl7677 7 лет назад

      the fins are so close together

    • @jurunce
      @jurunce 7 лет назад

      The way it's done is you tape the fins of the radiator. You're painting just the housing of the radiator itself.

    • @SingularityComputers
      @SingularityComputers  7 лет назад +1

      I never paint the fins, although it would hardly affect performance because it wouldn't go in between them. Paint is super thin and fine, when it comes out of the gun the droplets are microscopic, or they should be.
