This stuff is the bomb! I purchased based off your review and have been using it every week for 5 weeks straight. The DC and leave in are my staples. I don't use any other DC anymore, lol.

@@Reallifewithamanda OMG I Love it so much. I have used it on not only my hair but all of my kids hair and they have three different textures. The deep conditioner is a life saver.

Oh yes I think I will get the leaving not so much as the deep conditioner but I am very interested in the leaving because I do use leavings as a moisturiser my head love levens :) your hair is so beautiful all my goodness girl look at your new growth Jesus Christ.. it's pretty! lol.. Do you recommend using this line every week for wash day or would it be too much protein in the hair? If I’m using this line, how often would you suggest to do apogee protein treatments or would I need it? Can using this products often cause protein overload? I have low porosity hair by the way.
Since this line has protein in the DC & moisturizer I don’t recommend weekly use. Perhaps biweekly & then the aphogee every 6-8 weeks
@@Reallifewithamanda All the bottles have rice water on it. Is the rice water a form of protein?
So rice water itself does contain protein. These products are infused with rice water which is a tiny bit different (it means that they’ve taken some of their water based ingredients & had them sit with rice as if they were making rice water) this is a great question because looking at the ingredients list rice water itself isn’t listed as an ingredient, they also didn’t state which ingredients or if the entire product was infused with rice water. From using the products though I can say the shampoo is great, moisturizing & doesn’t strip the hair, leave in conditioner also moisturizing. The DC is moisturizing but has a few proteins listed, moisturizer is my favorite it has a protein listed as well.
The more I think about it, the more I like this question but it’s really a question for ORS because I have some knowledge of formulating products & I’ve done an infused scalp oil for my babies. I used a few different oils but I infused all of them with chamomile making the entire product (chamomile infused) some people do a chamomile infusion but use only one of their oils for the infusion & the other oils remain pure. In these ORS products the water could very well be infused with rice water & everything else remains pure or they could have infused the entire thing which is something that should definitely have been disclosed.

Wait so this is for high porosity hair right because rice is protein. Is protein moisture for the hair or strengthener?...
Protein is strengthening, the tricky part of this is that the product is “infused” with rice water but that can mean all or part of it is infused (ORS) did not specify. The products that have proteins listed as actual ingredients are the deep conditioner & moisturizer. I unfortunately don’t have high porosity hair so I won’t be able to tell if it works with that hair porosity. I have low-normal porosity hair.

I also wish that this collection was strictly moisture based with 0 protein, cuz that leave-in looks exactly like what my hair needs 😩 I also have relaxed hair and their moisturizing lotion is just too thick. Doesn't help at all when my new growth is coming through.
Yup this was such a great opportunity for ORS to get a strictly moisturizing line but they missed the mark on that one. The leave in is truly amazing, that moisturizer needed more work.
