    In my donut (by blender guru in blender 3.0) i tried to render in cycles with 8000 samples and 0.03 threshold, it took 3 mins and 45 secs to render just 1 frame with cycles, i have 300 frames which means it will be taking 18.75 hours to render all frames, i rendered 67 frames for more than 4 hours
    My specs :
    Intel i5-2400
    Gt-730
    Windows 10

      With so much details on your mind, you deserve higher specs. Both CPU and GPU.

      Use the denoise node in the compositor. You don't need 8K samples, I make animations and at just 256 samples it looks almost perfect

      Even Hollywood Movies don't need 8000 Samples. Lol.
      If you adjust settings good then even 256 samples with denoise in good for animation. Still image need 512-800 samples max.

    I know this vid is 2 years ago but you compared Eevee cpu with Cycle gpu so it didn't show the difference between gpu and cpu (cus the performance difference between Eevee and Cycle is enormous). Also when you switched to gpu, the select box turned gray and you didn't properly set the render device in the preference tab, so there's a high chance your render is using cpu instead.

      I'll tell you exactly what happened here. I took this video when I was just starting to learn blender. And no, it was completely using GPU, but the soft body modifier that I added later might have made the rendering worse by taking extra resources, and GT710 isn't that great tbh. It can't process shadows properly lol. I used to play Just Cause 3 in 640x480 with low shadows to get more than 30 fps. My processor was i3-9th gen btw. Also thanks for commenting on a 2 year old video.

      For good experiments, I would recommend to use Eevee first, then render in Cycle

    So, is Gt710 not good for blender?!

    • @biswajeethembram_88
      @biswajeethembram_88  3 года назад +2

      You can do Eevee animations pretty well. But in Cycle mode you will have to make sure that your objects are having less vertices or no complex simulation. If you are having GT710 I would recommend to use Eevee mode.

      @@biswajeethembram_88 I just started learning in 2.79 cz 2.80 says something about opengl 3.3, so instead I Installed 2.79, it said same but thats to yt it worked after installing a file
      Till now I have just made a bed which haven't rendered yet, but the amount of lag I get as I use edit mode nd subdivide to 50 is comparable to ur animation and bruh when I play the animation of collision thing I cant even move my point of view
      I just put lightings and set the camera I hope it renders correctly after putting textures
