This was an underrated movie at the time of release. It’s complicated thriller between a madman and his lawyer. Both, Chris O’Donnell and Gene Hackman did a great job. This movie applies to the gun violence going on now. The hate crimes going on by teenagers with guns.
JUST FINISHED reading THE CHAMBER two days ago...... Could not stop reading it....Loved it....Hated for it to come to an end. It is not a book that I will soon, if ever, forget about. Can't wait to see the movie with my sister.... Read A TIME TO KILL yrs. ago and, of course, I have seen the movie numerous times. Loved the book before I ever knew there was a movie.... and I love the movie...... I just started reading another novel by John Grisham, THE PELICAN BRIEF. Hard to get my mind off THE CHAMBER though.
This is a movie adaptation of the book the chamber by John Grisham, it is one of the best movies played by Chris o donnel, one of the best actor in Hollywood.
I love John Grisham's novel; he writes good stories on the books that he published. Books that made into movies, like The Client, The Firm, and the others including this one.
There's just a lot of depth to the novel that doesn't find its way onto the screen. Grisham considers this the worst film made from all of his books (and considers the Rainmaker to be the best).
@@christianfinkbeiner684 Hackman has a good performance but it's just not true to the book. I'd love to see a better director take another crack at this film.
@KYExtemper All the films based on Grisham novels leave out huge chunks of the books. There's no way to squeeze in everything. I agree that much of the book's nuance isn't included in the film, but as a standalone piece of work, the film is not that bad, in my opinion. I think Grisham's books are better suited for limited series rather than films. That's what HBO is doing with "A Time for Mercy."
Got less than 40 pages left i this book. Kinda drags at times but builds at the same time....the Whistler is my Fav Grisham book so far --- Hackman looks too young in this compared to how the book describes Sam
...I've read all the books of this Master writer....John Grisham....Wizard of Suspense and a look into forbidden places of the Law...a Grand Master....one of a Kind....
Gene Hackman tried to carry this film to something serviceable but they butchered the source material so badly it is the worst film adaption of a Grisham book.

In the dictionary. This film should be next to underrated. So good movie.
This theme is from "Come See The Paradise" by Randy Edelman. It is called "Fire In A Brooklyn Theatre."
From the "A Few Good Men" trailer.
Used in many ads and trailers for many 90s legal thrillers and action movies.
People hate this movie. I think it's pretty good. Even John Grisham hates it.
I just started reading this today.
Rip sammy Wilson 1934 2022
I never understood why people hated this adaptation of all the Grisham books I found this to be the closest to the book

Oh Im so happy to found this cuz lm reading book "The Chamber"
Read it years ago and loved it. I was a real John Grisham fan...he never disappointed me.
his non fiction book was good as well....a time to kill is in my opinion his best work!
Like it👍
HAHAHAH SAME
Julian O n T i just finished it rn. so i search if they did a movie about it loll
I've not read the novel but this adaptation feels like it's been tampered with. Regardless, Gene Hackman steals the film!
Its actually faithful to the book. The firm is the obly one thatcwas truly tampered with
@@Andrews_Wrestling_Life it's not very faithful to the book at all. Did you even read it?

@@bradenharris8718I read it and owned it and feel like it’s really faithful in tone especially to the book.
I need the link for the whole movie

Was there a sound track for the movie?

imo the movie disappoints a bit after i read the book
🤔I think Chris o'donnell is on ncis ncis los angeles Hawaii Five-0 grey's anatomy the practice and two and a half men
That black guard was played by Bo Jackson
My men
Yankee go home
yeh insaniyat ya humanity ke liye fight hai
Chris O'Donnell still hot though, if he lose some weight:)
The worst adaptation of the book! If you are reading the book don't watch the movie. Disappointing!!!
I just read the book.. and tbh the trailer looks nothing like the movie? Is the ending in the movie different?
no i would say Runaway Jury is....
Chris O'Donnell looks so different no that he is in NCIS LA I'm like wha-
Naturally he looks different he was 25 or 26 years old when he filmed this film. He is now 51 years old
Yeah before he was a tv actor
He was a serious actor in movies.
Similar to Dead Man Walking 1995 only BETTER
