cutting to a beat is perfect...many top editors in cinema ...are also accomplished composers or musicians...thats why their work is so magical that we dont even notice the cuts....
I agree! Nice insight! Thanks for watching!

wow.. great great...❤❤❤❤ take love..
Thank you for watching and for the kind words!
Great content! Good luck with YT adventure! One question: Does this concept apply to so-called talking head videos?
Thank you! Great question. I would say if there are cuts, then there is rhythm, so it could be helpful. It’s probably more applicable to a montage, but I think using a temp music track to help establish rhythm could work in almost any circumstance.
Genius
Thank you for the kind words!
Yup, we literally just tap/drum markers into premiere pro and cut the clips to the markers 👍
Awesome! Thanks for watching!
the music is nice...can i have the name please...i too am on artlist...excellent place for music and sounds...
thnk y for your videos...good lessons and tips...
You are quite welcome! That is a song of mine. You can find it on Spotify: open.spotify.com/track/6ZRAk0c5DWeGenLRXZ4jg0?si=fb62a36ea78d46a5
As an ex drummer, this is a technique I am particularly fond of. In DaVinci Resolve timeline, tap to the music on the M key. You can then lay down markers and accents to as a guide for cutting and pacing. ruclips.net/video/yAKCEjBRn9U/видео.html
Awesome! Thanks for sharing. And nice video!
@@mengespost Gracias. Small steps. And the compliment means a lot. Appreciated.
What do you mean a 4/4 song, how to know if the song 4/4 or not? And What if it's not then how I would cut the beat?
Greetings! 4/4 means there are 4 beats per measure. In it's simplest form, I'm suggesting that you tap your foot to the music and place the cuts when you tap your foot. That will work with any type of music.
How do you do this with dialogue for a drama movie
Great question! If I was trying to find the rhythm of a dialogue scene I might bring in a nice temp music track that matched the energy and emotion of the scene to give me some rhythmic ideas.
@@mengespostThat makes sense thank you so much. Lol now I have to find the right music.
