    cutting to a beat is perfect...many top editors in cinema ...are also accomplished composers or musicians...thats why their work is so magical that we dont even notice the cuts....

    Great content! Good luck with YT adventure! One question: Does this concept apply to so-called talking head videos?

    • @mengespost
      @mengespost  22 дня назад +1

      Thank you! Great question. I would say if there are cuts, then there is rhythm, so it could be helpful. It’s probably more applicable to a montage, but I think using a temp music track to help establish rhythm could work in almost any circumstance.

    As an ex drummer, this is a technique I am particularly fond of. In DaVinci Resolve timeline, tap to the music on the M key. You can then lay down markers and accents to as a guide for cutting and pacing. ruclips.net/video/yAKCEjBRn9U/видео.html

    What do you mean a 4/4 song, how to know if the song 4/4 or not? And What if it's not then how I would cut the beat?

    • @mengespost
      @mengespost  19 дней назад

      Greetings! 4/4 means there are 4 beats per measure. In it's simplest form, I'm suggesting that you tap your foot to the music and place the cuts when you tap your foot. That will work with any type of music.

    How do you do this with dialogue for a drama movie

    • @mengespost
      @mengespost  23 дня назад

      Great question! If I was trying to find the rhythm of a dialogue scene I might bring in a nice temp music track that matched the energy and emotion of the scene to give me some rhythmic ideas.
