Never heard this term before. I am going to try it next time I hit.

I think in overall buggy whip helps to clear net in most of the situations.. great video.. I don’t see any reason why every shot cannot be buggy whip with exception of some offensive finishing shots of forehand’s

Nadal used to use buggy-whip on almost every shot but he got away from doing that, especially on faster surfaces. Personal preference plays a big part!

today I practiced buggy whip during one hour and I like it a lot. Before I got only very high spin buggy whip, but now I tired to use lower spin trajectory and it works. Thank you! it gives diversity, stability and fun))

A great shot that you can use in a variety of ways. Keep it up Nadya!

Is there a backhand buggy whip or reverse backhand?

Was expecting you to do the nadal banana shot around the net post XD

Ha yep it would require an extreme buggy whip to pull that off...and likely a couple takes :)

I really like the shoes you're wearing. What shoes are those?

Hey Brady how much extension do you need for the buggy whip as supposed to a regular forehand extension?

    • @DailyTennisLesson

Contact will be later so extension may not be as quite as extreme, however it's negligible. I wouldn't focus on this honestly and instead on the different swing path required.

Play with a person who makes very low shots with slice effect that when bounces the ball slips. This way of hitting the ball serves me for that?

Yes Adrian, it definitely helps on slices that stay low. Just make sure you have plenty of racket speed to counter there slice spin.

Do you recommend just whipping it crosscourt over low part of net? The mechanics of this shot do not seem to lend themselves to accuracy? Just grip and rip? Seems like this is nearly mandatory for those worm burner players as opposed to just a "nice to have."

Crosscourt or down-the-line are both possibilities. You're right--based what the shot provides it won't be as accurate, but that's just the nature of the shot. I wouldn't say Nadal is the most accurate player but the ridiculous amount of spin he generates more than makes up for it. I can't name one current pro that doesn't use a buggy-whip at least occasionally--which definitely says something.

Please comment stroking a lob using the buggy whip stroke. Thanks again Pat

Definitely possible, I even recommend it if you have enough confidence in it. Did a video on this earlier in the year: ruclips.net/video/naF9KgJlzEg/видео.html
