    Thank you so so much! I've had this for more than 2 years now without know how to use it. I tried using the help of another jeweller but her charges were outrageous! Now I can practice again with it. God bless you heart for this Post. Thank you!

    Wow, I do thank you for for showing. I just bought this kit and didn't know what to do with the items in that kit and i didn't understand what the big pegs were for. But watching and listening to you has really helped me a whole lot. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

    Yes, the pegs can move around a bit while you use this. I haven't found anything to put in there to keep them still. I usually just hold the pegs in place while I work, since I'm usually trying to hold the wire down onto the pegs anyway.

    Wire jigs are used to shape craft wire uniformly and quickly, as an alternative to doing the bending by hand with round nose pliers. What you do with the pieces that you bend is entirely up to your imagination. You can create connector links, clasps, or any number of other items.

    go to the store and get the smallest rubber hair bands you can find. I put these on the bottom to keep my pegs tight I even add addition pegs if needed to keep the main pegs tight. Works for me! By the way I got the hair bands at the dollar store which is a plus.

    I've had my 'wire jig' for around 15 years now, without ever using it! But I've been watching some really inspiring tutorials on wire wrapping (by Yvonne Williams and a guy called Mat, at 'Mat's crazy crafts' or something similar) So I got my wire jig out this morning, and it's the exact same one as the jig from Beàdaholique. I still have the wire that came with it. The only criticism I have about the wire jig is that the instructions could be a bit better. Like, they don't tell you anything about placing the jig over the template, so thank you SO MUCH for this fantastic video. If it wasn't for you my jig would no doubt have remained stashed away in the dark recesses of my craft room. Thanks again, love from Amanda in Australia xx

    A semi-flush cutter cuts flush on one side. Just position the cutter with the flat side towards the side you want flush.

    I bought the larger one with the metal pegs, and the plastic stops for the back side, but none of the stops fit. I have tried using it several times, and I just can't get the hang of it One of the hard parts is making the initial loop big enough to fit the peg

    • @beadaholique
      @beadaholique  8 лет назад

      +Theresa Fugate Hi, I am not quite sure why the stops are not fitting. They should be a tight fit but still fit. If you like, you can contact our customer service department at service@beadaholique.com

      @@beadaholique no - the stops don't fit...... and do they go on the underside of the metal plate? Instructions are less than adequate and it's almost impossible to use this tool without the 'pins' coming out. Not happy with paying $20 for 'tool' which is so .... in the words of one wrapper, 'fiddly'. BTW - WHO wants a piece that can be so easily bent once completed? Finishing your 'tutorial' by showing how to harden your work might just be helpful for those who don't know.

      They can be a bit of a pain to keep in. Someone years ago recommended using thin rubber bands or hair bands to keep them in place and we found that to be a helpful tip

    I just purchased the Thing A-Ma Jig Deluxe and am very disappointed in it. The pins pops out and the wire they included is so thin I really can't use it for anything cheap wire. breaks. it's almost like a very light type floral wire, but i'll get other wire and try it out and see how it goes. I wish the pegs didn't pop out its very frustrating. Mine came with small rubber tubes things, Does anyone know what they are for? they are clear and look like they could stop the pins from moving,nope

    • @telemyztery
      @telemyztery 5 лет назад

      I have the same kit. The rubber tubes are supposed to fit on the bottom of the pegs, but mine do not fit. They are too tight. Frustrating.

    What gauge of wire is sold with this kit?

      Unfortunately the manufacturer did not list the wire gauge in the kit but it looks on the thinner side to me. Here are the full details beadaholique.com/products/thing-a-ma-jig-clear-acrylic-jewelry-wire-wrapping-tool

    The jig I have is similar to this but it came with this ridiculous penciltype tool that frustrated the heck out of me. I ended up tossing that and just doing it by hand with the jig and the wire.

    Please let people know the size of the loop before you put it on the jig

    • @beadaholique
      @beadaholique  3 года назад

      Sorry for leaving that out. I don't have the jig here in front of me but my guesstimate is those pegs are about 1/8th of an inch or roughly 3mm. If you want to start with a very precisely sized simple wire loop you might want these stepped wire looping pliers, they have a middle step that will give you a 1/8th of an inch sized loop: beadaholique.com/products/beadsmith-3-step-wire-looping-pliers-concave-and-round-nose
      We tend to free hand this, if the loop is a little too big or small it's easy to adjust it by hand once you've got the peg in front of you
