"The orange and red stripes of the tiger are much more evident than the black and white stripes of the zebra because Tigers are stronger than zebras." I lol'ed.
I grew up on Tom Green. Later in life experienced being a security guard. For me the experience was hilarious. Best part is at work one night I had someone do the backwards man while singing the song going up the elevator backwards. My effectiveness as a guard came from being a good guy basically, not taking it personally when people do stupid shit, instead paying tribute to their unique creativity and or sense of spirit.. but correcting the behaviour only if it was unsafe or impolite to them or the public, second priority to that for me was keeping the assets i was paid to protect safe. I did a good job, was welcomed by the community and its 'trouble makers', the store keepers and the party goers. Any disputes where settled diplomatically with minimum fuss and no need for physical contact. All the while keeping a sense of humour and getting paid to study humans and human exchange. It sold at an auction house in Quebec in 2003 if I'm not mistaken. The buyer, some artist, then bound it together with a bunch of other painings (your guess is as good as mine as for why these particular paintings were used), attached them to a weather balloon, set fire to the stuff and let it go. I don't know how far the balloon managed to fly. Tiger Zebra didn't burn and apparently ended up in some old lady's yard. Could've killed her. There was a news report about it here: ruclips.net/video/dQw4w9WgXcQ/видео.html

This is one of the funniest things I have ever seen. 1. The music at 1:25 WTF 2. "I just want to put the art on the wall. I just want to put the art on the wall." 3. "The Moon? Le Loon?" 4. Tom's face at 1:48 5. Even when faced with danger with the security guard, Tom still is in troll mode. Incredible.
Tom is allowed to run because he has not committed a felony. If the guards had detained him then they would be in trouble for kidnapping. The legal system is awesome. lol
Losing security guards is easy enough in Ottawa 😅 great nostalgic sketch that makes me feel at home ❤ PS OMG I got caught at the Beechwood Cemetary with a friend. Just trying to short cut from the river into the city! Those ancient stone archways tempted us up a hill... Nonetheless, getting chased by an angry Cemetary guard with a truck and dogs is exciting 🎉 w00t Ottawa and the police having higher priorities than harmless misfits
im so glad I can see these.. wanted to buy all the seasons on dvd but it seems none of them are available? maybe he owns the rights to the skit but none of the in studio stuff
My gosh. Tom Green is a master troll, a podcast pioneer, mob flash pioneer, influenced Jackass and some other comedians and with this he also was way ahead Banksy.
I love how the tour guide and crowd are so upset "Tiger Zebra" is being defaced. This is an amazing sketch.
Tiger-Zebra is a painting... not a sketch... duhhhh
Tom Green was literally the first person to do everything!
c xtam Yup!
You think that because you heard that
We think that because we saw it @@watermyplants6089
Fact: As a qualified art history drop out, I can confirm that this segment is in fact good art.
thanks for clearing that up, i was wondering until i saw your comment

Anyone who doesn't see the brilliance of this is unreachable.
It's clever, but brilliant? not sure about that choice of word...
Spread the word guys! It's brilliant!
It's mildly clever.
@@paulgreengod That response is lame. Quit being lame.
Tom Green invented some of the classiest trolling methods around.
Backless Chaps
He basically is the forefather of trolling
duh
It’s simply because he’s Canadian
Sasha Baron Cohen is the only other I can think of that rivals Tom’s commitment and cleverness of the troll.
He tries to shake the security guards hand after the tour guide called him. Tom is hilarious.

Wonder where Tiger Zebra is now, hopefully they didn't throw it out, bet it could fetch a bundle from fans of the show in auction.
What fans

Tom , just by having a laugh, created real art with Provenance.Honesty thats what alot of "fine" artist did...
The mushrooms and the little moon made it 100x better
The original mothafuckin' Banksy!
Except Banksy is a sellout.
This whole sketch is the greatest art ever to present in this gallery.

The teenaged girls were French Canadians. This was in Ottawa, where it's pretty much the border between English and French Canada.
I regret to inform you that Tiger Zebra is no longer there. :C

oh man watching this on tv the first time. I busted a gut.
I'm an art graduate myself and I think his Tiger Zebra is actually a pretty cool art piece
He was a comic ahead of his time. I'm not sure his antics were truly appreciated back in the day.
believe me he was

Tom absolutely deserves to have his beautiful farm. Well earned.
So he did it before Banksy? Very cool.
Awwww, 1998. I’d go back to that year in a heartbeat.
This inspired me as a teenager, and now as an adult; I prepare to take flight and follow your lead.
Your still at your boring job i bet.
Tom Green is a pure pioneer in so many ways, he was doing everything that the big names got rich off of, way back in the day.
This is the best sketch ever! Thanks for putting these up Tom.
lost myself at fact-running is fast hahaha.. your awesome man.. proud your a Canadian haha
The finest trolling before internet became great!
Tom Green is a True Artist !!! 👍🏻
I want to know how for how long tiger-zebra stayed on that wall
"More like something, yes" Most vague statement ever made...
We should get Tiger Zebra back on the wall!
Fucking love this shit! Never gets old... only gets better!!!!
It would've been more hilarious if the museum paid to restore the piece to its pre-marker encounter.
Absolutely genius! 💚
Never saw this bit before, love it!
Loved this back in the day
Genius...that truly was art..a art performance peice.
This is one of the best pranks ever. I used to hate this show, but when this came up I almost pissed myself.
It's 2020, I just heard Tom Green on The Jay Thomas Show (which aired in 2012) and now I'm watching this sketch again 😜

This is my favourite one ever ever ever
i often wonder what ever became of Tiger Zebra.
The days before smart phones 😍
Derek and Tom were hilarious together.
BRILLIANT
Where is Tiger Zebra today?
I'll bet it's worth hundreds at this point.
this was crazy for Tom to do, he could of landed in jail!!! Tom green is awesome been a fan since like 97 I think it was...got ur shows on VHS!!

And then they spent 3.000 bucks on restoring the painting.
he drew the painting and hung it in secret

good idea for a regular series of segments at galleries around the world? though ironically would most likely be impossible to do post-911, etc.
