I am thankful for that. Thank you for sharing your experience of finding love, respect and laughter again. May it continue :) It gives me hope, and that is a beautiful thing x

It's good to see Drew in a good place. She has such a "found my inner peace" vibe about her. Refreshing.
I'm also glad she didn't become another "fast lane" Hollywood casualty! Thank God she sought help for her demons and is alive and well today. I'd recommend her book Little Girl Lost which details all the personal issues she had as a teen star. Really depressing but a good read! (Also glad she and her mom reconciled---they were estranged for MANY years).
Tom is a very real genuine guy. He would not fall easily for just anyone. The sincerity in his eyes speaks volumes about his character. I really miss seeing Tom.

So hilarious! His kindness compassion and humanity toward her was absolutely unforgettable. I could never forget him after that. He truly cared about people’s hearts, there’s no doubt about that.

Life teaches you to just "let go" of pain. NOTHING IN LIFE can cause that to happen like a "cordial meeting" with an ex. The pain is gone. And the person you loved once is sitting there looking at you again. It took me around 20 years too.

This was so heartwarming anf i nearly cried omg and i haven't had the ability to cry in so long. Wow. It's just...You can feel that they still have love and admiration for each other. And this just felt so right. I really felt that in my heart and soul.
I love that a Drew Barrymore joke was actually what finally got Tom to crack on Last One Laughing Canada. The fact that, even thought they may not have talked for 15 years, they still had this unspoken respect for each other was so wonderful to see in real time.

When I saw him do standup live I expected him to throw a box of knives at the crowd but he was a real classy dude that went from making me laugh to almost making me cry.
Dude needed a dog. Chick magnet.
Please renew this for a second season. We really need for authentic voices like this on television.

Lee Jay - I totally related, early-on as a child, my biological mother gave my sister (3 months old) and me up for (sealed) adoption when I was 27 months old. The abandonment fear was a major issue as a young child and sadly has had some lasting effects as an adult. She was abandoned by everyone, which is why she has such an enormous heart and is so sensitive and emotional to love and stability. She’s such a tender-heart. She’s a precious gem.☮️💟

Probably a bit of both! 😊 It's so strange, but when she was a teenager she talked in a much more composed and calm manner on TV... Maybe she was afraid to be raw because they would have used her vulnerability against her? Now she's not afraid of being herself...

Do yall remember the episode of the Tom Green show where Tom has testicular cancer and he's calm as a cucumber and making jokes and Drew is a nervous wreck. They were so sweet together. Is it weird to say they kinda still have that energy? People never understood what she saw in him, but I think I can tell now. Maybe cause I'm older now too.
@Rico Williams If that’s true, that is sad. They seem to have great admiration for one another. I never found Tom funny or attractive back when they were married, but seeing him now, he’s real catch!
That episode scared me too. It was very personal. Cool how they let us into their lives like that (and that was way before social media!).. In the 90's and before social media, people sent their message on TV stations mostly 🙂.

I never thought Tom Green could get all gushy like this. He describes their relationship perfectly in his book "Hollywood causes cancer", and the lack of bitterness (for which he could be justified) and absence of blame are notable. I'd like to find the book on Kindle since i've reread it several times - his voice on the page is nothing like his (basically insane) personna he showed pretty much non-stop on "The Tom Green Show" plus his (bizarre) movie "Freddy got fingered".

It’s not like they had a bad divorce.. he didn’t beat or cheat on her, they just simply got married to soon after meeting and realized they weren’t “in love”.
